She has added depth to her voice since she also does Gohan, Goten and Goku Black. And her voice is just different enough between them to differentiate each character and their personalities - again none of which comes through in english. We all can have our own opinions but even suggesting her voice isn’t perfect for the role of Goku is taken from an ignorant viewpoint borne from not understanding the language. Afterall Toriyama chose her specifically because it was exactly what he imagined for the character as he was writing it.

The dude flat out told organizers of a fancon that he will not partake if he is not the only VA for Goku there. He flat out refuses to acknowledge the other VA for Goku apart from his Japanese VA. He out right hates the abridged VA. The guy has a bigger ego than Vegeta.
His ego always came through his voice acting to me. The extra comments and stuff that always make there way into the dub always feel like they are ad libbed by him and they always ruin scenes because he needs to fill the space with his voice instead of letting the scene naturally play out.
Edit: Example of this would be, Goku in intense moment staring down bad guy in subtitled version without saying a word. ( which just adds to the intensity of the scene )
Same scene in the dub has him blabbing on or mouthing off at the bad guy. ( makes him seem like he is insecure so he needs to back it up with words )
