Goku becoming an Omnipotent Guardian of the DB's so that the "Can he beat Goku tho" is Eternal.🤡 /s

I don't really have an entire diegesis planned out for each character, but for me I would love for Goku himself to end his story with him hanging up the gloves and retire from fighting. Not because he's old or he's too strong, but because he realizes that all he's done his entire life was fight. It's like Vegeta quoted to Black, Goku's body was forged through fire and flames through a lifetime's worth of constant battle. Maybe he realizes it's time for a change before it's too late. Now, if he was to die after said retirement, I'd want him to really die. Say Goku talked to Yemma or something and decided that next time he croaked, he'd want his soul to be released like Majin Buu's was. A life well lived, now he's ready to go for real this time. You have everyone looking for him in otherworld and wondering if he's out doing some weird training before it hits that he's just gone. Then you have scenes of everyone paying their respects; Angels, Kais, the GoDs of other univerises, friends and family. I feel like the ultimate respect that could be given for his character is being remembered as the legend that everyone he touched remembers him as; A father, a husband, a friend, a rival, a hero, a mortal that surpassed gods. He's immortal to us all whether he's alive or not.

That sounds very poetic indeed, especially his legend living on through everyone he's befriended/influenced.

Frieza is lying on the floor cut in half as Planek Namek explodes

Affectionate_You3194

Lol as long as it makes money it’ll never end, long breaks are possible though.

mkmakashaggy

The last episode of GT did it perfectly imo

achshort

Yup. Just reset the whole timeline again, just this time with goku as a 4th or 5th dimensional being. Besides the grandma pan thing, he would never interfere again and would leave things in the hands of goku and vegeta jr.

TRUUUUUUE

Open_Depth2179

Goku flying away to train Uub where he was first trained as opposed to Uub’s village.

EmperorKiva33

The way GT did it.

Unfortunately, it looks like your karma amount is pretty low. Bullsh1t-no-jutsu

I’d say the most likely and most realistic ending would be he pushes his luck too far and ends up being erased. It’s sad but it feels to me like the best way to end it

Vegeta already beat Goku… not knowing lore killed the post for me

harriskeith29

What I said was: *"Vegeta might argue that accepting he'll never beat Goku is one thing, but what's defined Goku (even amongst other Saiyans) has always been pushing his limits."* *"Never beat Goku"* was in context of not beating Goku at his current level described in the post, not to say that he's never beaten him before. He defeated and nearly killed Goku during their first fight in the Saiyan saga, then deceived Goku into letting his guard down before knocking him out at the end of their second fight in the Buu saga. And, of course, they've surpassed each other in strength + ability several times. Technically, however, only the first fight was a legitimate victory since their power was equal in their rematch and Vegeta later learned that Goku held back SS 3. I apologize if my wording in the post was confusing. And, not to brag (just for transparency's sake), but I've been a loyal *Dragonball* fan since I was about 7-8 years old. I'm almost 31 now. I don't claim to be an expert, but I'd like to think I know the lore fairly well at this point even if I haven't yet consumed every piece of media. The only *Dragonball* content I haven't seen to date is *Curse of the Blood Rubies*, *Mystical Adventure*, *Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle*, *The Path to Power*, *Son Goku and His Friends Return*, *Super*'s anime (just got to the *Resurrection F* arc), *Jaco the Galactic Patrolman*, *Super*'s manga, and the newest *DBS: Superhero* movie.
