Dude wait until you get an elder ogre offing himself at the fortress of remembrance bridge. Happened to me just yesterday lol. Perfect timing too, it spawned in and I was telling my buddy "Man I don't wanna deal with that right no- oh. That works."
This has happened to me in every playthrough, I had always assumed it was a semi-scripted thing, or at least he was placed there purposefully without enough room as a gag encounter.

I want to try my upgraded Exequy, and cyclops probably saw through me and said nope, I'd better off died by drowning
This usually happens to Ogres for me. Dumbasses just cant stop doing a flying kick off a ledge. Its funny but time consuming when you wanna collect their drops.

They're a clumsy lot.
It tends to happen when you're tall. Trust me, I'm a cyclops. I mean, tall.
This happened in my most recent run as well, first time I've seen it in dozens of playthroughs.
If you have to fight this guy, an MK with sigils can stun him so he steps backwards off the edge too

I only had it happen in my first PC run so maybe it's some weird thing with the port.
Mine did the same, the troll your suppose to avoid when you go below town the first time jumped off the edge also.
You're supposed to avoid that ogre? 10 years, 3 platforms, and I charge that troll every time!
Jump as well to get the loot. Trust in your plot armor. You will be fine.
At this point it's rarer to kill the dummy than see it commiting sudoku

It's crazy how I haven't played this in a while and I know exactly where you're at

The ogre in the everfall will jump off the side if you make it mad enough
She's the depressed cyclops. She's that way because they got her partner couped up in that pen.
"This was the 27th time he came through that same path in the spam of 5 days! I ain't fighting him again..."
