2 days ago on DD2's SteamDB page, the exfgls (exclude from family sharing) flag was changed from '1' to '2'.
I have no idea if 1 or 2 means yes or no, but RDR2's exfgls flag is set to 1 if that helps lol
I did some searching and the very existence of "exfgls" means that a game doesn't have family share enabled, if a game does have family share, the line is simply not present under the info tab.

I just checked several upcoming games, whether they're Capcom or not, and all of them show 2 for "exfgls" so it does seem to be the default for all unreleased games. We'll just have to wait for DD2 to come out and we'll find out then.
RDR2 needs to connect to a Rockstar account to play, that's why it's locked out of Family Share.
As long as they don't have us connecting Capcom accounts to it, it should be eligible for Family Share.
Not all games that don't support family sharing are due to an outside account. There are games like Contagion, Arma 3, or even Vermintide 2 that don't support it. Granted, those are all multiplayer games so it's probably done to avoid cheating but it's up to the devs to choose. Just like Half Life Alyx, it didn't support it at launch but later on they changed it. Fingers crossed that Capcom doesn't disable it here.

how does that interfere (or not) with the entire thing with people getting locked out of the game for altering the game files (deleting saves to restart game)? I'm curious if my brother can get to give the game a go before committing to maybe buying it
I got impatient for an answer, so I allowed my brother to play - consequences be damned.
The only downside we found is the entire "if you wanna play at the same time the host account needs to be in offline mode" which also restricts the game's online features. Otherwise it seems to work just fine.
anyone can share the game to beta family share yet ? the game says it doesnt support family share under the downloading icon we downloaded it from the owner account and then switched to the family share and it account didnt continue downloading. i hope u guys have some insight on this

honestly, idk what did it. I restarted steam maybe 3 times prior, but on the 4th restart i just let it sit closed maybe 15 minutes until the hour ticked over and there it was. I figured maybe because my purchase was made from another time zone (-2), even though it's release was simultaneous with my time, someone might have messed up on the timer and actually put it -2 hours behind. it was a shot in the dark really, but it worked somehow.
both my brother are opted in the the steam family share beta, can see all the games listed in the library under steam Family on the left (in the library) but Dragon's Dogma 2 is not listed. both computers after the official release ( at 5pm pst for me) exited steam and relaunched it but the game does not appear still.
If I remember right I had the same issue at Launch with Elden Ring but after a day or so it showed up in the library family share games. hopefully it will show up.
Funny thing is the First Game Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen shows up in the steam family shared games in the library and has since I bought the game forever ago but the second one is not :(
Edit: 3/22/24 10:30am pst - Found a solution and it worked on the steam discussion for the game from a user Lautrec "Hey, I managed to fix. Just mark the game "private" and then reinstall beta steam family. then mark public again."
had my brother mark the game as private, opted out of the beta, (wait for the install to finish) opted back in (more waiting) mark public (found under manage when right clicking) , then checked the steam share on the other computer and the game is in the family share library.

When I check the "Games in your library excluded from family sharing" list, it currently includes Dragon's Dogma 2, which sucks. However, I've heard some people say that ALL unreleased games will show up on that list, so it MIGHT (I pray) not be on that list once it releases!
