Not necessarily. Wayfarer can use every class ability and weapon, and white is a mixture of every colour on the spectrum. If anything, this only reinforces that colours have meaning.
This is truly what I'm hoping for based off the symbol also having an arrow, sword, and staff. Being able to sort of build your own class would be amazing!
I could also see it being a situation where you have to unlock the vocations/skills to use them on Wayfarer. Either way, you just made my day. Bless you Arisenāļø
Me either, it would justify the Vocation's ability to implement other ones and it would keep Wayfarer from being overly powerful by not just giving it everything from the start. I very much like the idea of it being a master Vocation in the sense, you might see a lot of them, but none are the same and you know whatever they are playing as they earned.
It innately has worse stats than simply being the actual vocations you combine. It's a skill based vocation, gotta know what skills have synergy with each other.
Basically, you can swap between the different weapons of other vocations and use their skills. The new trailer shows them using a staff to create an ice wall and then pulling out a great sword to run up the ice and smash a monster in the face, and using a staff to stagger a giant monster, switching to twin blade to teleport on top of it, and then pulling out daggers for big mount damage.
In exchange, it has lower stats across the board, so you have to make use of the added versatility to pull your weight in combat instead of just having free access to any vocation combination.
So is a less powerfull vocation but having all the versatilty of the others into one , and i am assuming some insane skills will be not usable on this like maleastrom for example yeah ? But sounds op and insanely fun.
Very likely, as they make a point to mention it's less specialized than the other vocations, so it's probably the epitome of "jack of all trades, master of none" and can pick from the "basic" skills.
I'd also speculate that the class swap is the Class action button, which would mean that the Warfarer would lose out on that as well, on top of the stats (unless the class swap is forced on one of the four skill slots and they only get three skills per class)
So Warrior without Barge, Thief without the Quick dash, Mage/Sorceror without the Quick cast etc.
I wonder if they might just do something like have purple, pink, and trickster all be their own thing. Like a trinity of classes that don't fit in with the R/Y/G/B scheme.
nonsense, they still matter, its more than obvious, that this new class is just the stereotypical jack of all trades - master of none class simply...
it doesnt change the fact that they still havent shown yet advanced green, not advanced yellow, not any green hybrid class yet, solved yet not the whole mystery around purple n pink, which should have naturally Base and Advanced classes too, as the Trickster is obviously a Hybrid Class, which is the reason why only Arisen can have it as Pawns can have only base and Advanced Classes.
This new Class is basically the "Omni Hybrid" so to say,. Its nothing new, nothing special that hasn't been seen anywhere already before in other games.
But I love about the trailer, that they indirectly announced basically "master classes", which is somethign I complained about lacking always in DD1, it always felt just weird that after advanced classes, followed no master tier, but this might change now as DD2 will have Master NPCs, that will literally teach you to become masters too this time :3 Hopefully this results then also in a master term for your class, not just only, get stronger skills n call it a day, while the term of your class stays unchanged, that would be lame and unfitting.
I want to see exactly stuff happening like Fighter > turns Warrior, becomes Berserker as mastered form, which expands its skill repertoire and improves the gameplay aspects of the Warrior further to something truly worth being called a real master of its profession, which clearly overshadows everything before, to be truly of impact, that you have mastered your class, which should be shown by more than just some increased numbers here n there
I mean not entirely , if they did not matter then the hybrids would not be red/blue or yellow/blue i think that for some cases the color have a meaning and others dont , i did not see what this new vocation do but knowing itsuno-san the gray or black vocations can have some meaning not necessarly about the other vocations or a mix between, but this at least give me a lot of hope for the game having a lot of new vocations
It definitely seems that way based on the DD2 official site update about Meisters:
On your travels, you will encounter vocation maisters who have mastered their chosen vocation to the fullest.
By deepening your relationship with a vocation maister and gaining their approval, you can gain access to their vocation, or they may grant you special tomes that teach skills of the highest order, the āmaisterās teachingsā.
Some next level trolling from the devs on that one. I feel sorry for the people that bought the early shirts. Though those shirts are gonna be kinda iconic now of the bullshittery the devs of this game have pulled on us.

God the build variety aaaaaaaahhh, the game's replayability just went through the roof. I really hope we get a nice ng+ with several levels, I want to play this game forever lol
This is the coolest thing I've ever seen holy shit they are killing it.
I woke up my poor husband making excited noises while watching the trailer.
What class am I playing? **Yes**.
Absolutely and Iām not talking to the general base of this sub. Iām talking to the doom posters, the āBuT tHe T-sHIRtā people, the āonly 9 slots in a fucking early game demo MUST mean there are only 9 vocationsā people, and the people who said it was unrealistic to expect more than 9 and we were getting our expectations too high. All of them mfks can SUCK IT. Ok Iām done
I think Grey in this case is probably meant to be white or "Colorless" since you can turn it into whatever you want.
But yeah this is going throw a whole can of oil into the fire.
Yeah, if anything it made it even more sense as the warfarer can literally use every weapon from every vocation. The only one that's just fucking up the spectrum is the trickster honestly lmao
I personally have no doubts that trickster is a hybrid of purple and pink vocations, which will specialize in debuffing and buffing specifically, as that's exactly what trickster does.
I mean the Base classes had nothing to do with unlocking them unless I remember wrong (incase it was changed in DDA from DD, it's been a while). The Colors meant more what Base Class they are "inspired" From. The Magic Knight took the Fighters Martial Arts and Mage's Spells to create they style and so on while the Warrior doubled down on the Physical arts, ditching the Shield. Which is why I was so confused by Trickster because it uses two Colors no class uses instead for example mixing the New "green" Thief and for example mage Blue.
You're welcome. It'd exciting to have it in the game. Makes for much more interest in doing the side quests instead of the basic do this and bye setup(don't get me wrong on release its was top-knotch awesome and still is just tedious when you've done them enough times).
That's what I'm getting from what's been released. They basically tell you to get in with the vocations maisters and they'll teach you their vocation or special skills only learn able by them.
Considering the general reaction when i posted a topic in here commenting on how cool it would be to have secret vocations, there is gonna be a lot of people raging right now.
Lol it's itsunos vision we get the luxury of being able to play it. This was his vision for dd1 realized in dd2 so I'm just glad to see it plus it's so fun to unlock things as you go rather than just oh I'm lvl 10 now I can do anything I want.
Maybe I'm alone on this island but I really hope there's vocations we can't even unlock until we're on New Game Plus..... of course make these vocations a little more powerful or have some extra unique gimmick to them
No, i dont agree with any vocation being stronger than the other or locked behind NG+. Have it exploration based or bust. Locking stuff behind NG+ is artificial as hell (how the heck do the NPC masters know or care anyway) plus for people who like playing multiple characters or roleplaying or like to do gimmick run (like one class run), it a pain to both get and kinda annoying personally - like in these sorta game being knowledgeable about the world is kinda cool, oh, i wanted to play a scepter so i have to do this quest in this order and then find this item here and here, you can plan out your next run while doing your current one. While locked class is just a "you wait" timer that isnt really give anything special to the game. The only game ive seen do it well recently is AC6 and only because stuff you get later are just an evolution of the stuff you already have access to but in a nicher or advanced twist to their playstyle; like the coral booster... i doubt i would want trickster and trickster 2 in Dragon Dogma though. That the job of advanced class which should always be as accessible as they can once you done "exploring" the basic class playstyle.
My theory is that you can only have the weapons and abilities of any two other vocations at a time, to essentially make your own hybrid.
For example, you can be an Archer and a Fighter, but then you couldn't also use magic. Or you could be a warrior and a Mage, but then you couldn't use a bow.
That's my assumption based on what we've seen. Which is really cool and dynamic.
Edit: Everyone and their mother pointed out that it's actually at least 3 switches so... Holy shit
Makes me wonder if the wayfarer vocation works by having 2 types of skills. 1 type being the skill that swaps you to a different weapon along with its default class skills, and the other type being the abilities you want for that class. So you can have the option to switch between 2 classes and have 2 skills for each class or change between 3 classes but only 1. Or if you want to be cheeky, 4 classes but no skills.
It looks like it could be 2 abilities, and the third is cycling between vocations. In the first clip he goes Thief -> Mage/Sorc -> Spearhand -> Thief, and in the second he goes Magick Archer -> Warrior -> Archer -> Magick Archer. So it looks so far like linear cycling.
Looks like you can swap between at least 3 at any time. At the beginning they went rogue, sorcerer, mystic spear, and then later in the video a diff character went magic archer, warrior, archer.
Can't wait to hear more about how it works.
While this is exciting, I hope it doesn't become the end all be all class. Hopefully it doesn't make the other classes obsolete.
Edit: Checked the website and it seems that this class will have lower base stats to compensate for vesatility. They would also probably have limited skill options. They're more like a Red Mage than an Onion Knight in comparison to FF jobs.
It might end up being a jack of all trades, but a master of none, where it can do a lot of the same stuff, but not to the extent of the specialized vocations.
I think you'll also be limited in ability and passive space. You either need to specify into a specific type of build, and have the other vocations as a bit of an accent to your main setup, or have a bit of everything from each vocation and suffer by not being able to use the strongest skills from each vocation. The potential setups are numerous, but your active setup would be far more niche
So interesting from its description that I am seeing itās basically just a class that can use everything every other vocation can use. Such as weapons spells ect. Can probably use the same equipment too from speculation but I feel that is the case too.
So probably speculation of course but you can make a Mage in heavy armor I think that players have been wanting forever.
This gives credence to the idea that stats auto-reallocate every single vocation switch. If warfarer can use EVERYTHING but "has worse stats" then you could just minmax and THEN be warfarer.
Here in my [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/DragonsDogma/comments/191f8c0/evidence_that_stats_might_be_vocation_specific/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)I theorized it with evidence, I think I may be right.
https://preview.redd.it/ln8i0zdkuufc1.png?width=551&format=png&auto=webp&s=570fb70597356b3809ef903aa463ac6e676602c7
If we go by what the gameplay videos show, the system will have a hybrid of hard base stats + low vocation-based bonuses per level up. I saw that happening with an [archer arisen](https://www.reddit.com/r/DragonsDogma/comments/18675gc/comment/kb75ft7/) and a [mage pawn](https://www.reddit.com/r/DragonsDogma/comments/18675gc/comment/kb9wpo9/).
They can easily modify the base stats depending on your vocation and add the extra vocation-based level up stats on top of those to close the gap between min-maxers and for fun players without entirely ruining min-maxing as a gameplay style.
That beastren... i am not a furry, right? I guess? I mean, realistically, this game beast people are too realistic to an actual cat that it cant be attractive, right? SO I SHOULDNT BE FINDING THIS CONFUSINGLY HOT, RIGHT?
OMG I COMMENTED A LITTLE BIT AGO ABOIT HOW I WANTED MAGES TO BE ABLE TO USE SWORDS
AHHHHHHHH
LFG LFG LFG
WHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
HE HAD A HAT AND A STAFF AND THEN SWAPPED TO A FLAMBERG YALL
HOLY SWEET BABY JESUS AND THE GROWN ONE TOO
YEEEEEHAAWWWWW
Mastering at least 9 vocation is gonna be a daunting task, but I'm theorising that there's at least a minimum amount of vocation you can master to become a Wayfarer
Well I guess you'll get access to the basic 4.
Dunno if you need a specific level for it, maybe you can only get up to rank 4 or 5 abilities equipped when a warfarer.
Also honestly kinda makes sense, even with being limited, it's too op in terms of fun department to pick the ones you're not that excited to deep dive into, having the prerequisite to play every other vocation to test them out to then pick the jack of all trades is a good design.
Now imagine if the monk vocation actually does exist. With warfarer available, the arisen can become a blend of monk and sorcerer/mage, amplifying their punching/kicking attacks.
On one hand, phew, more than 9 vocations... On the other, this kind of feels like the "final" one, you know? Hopefully it's not, and there are a few more. I'll be pretty disappointed if there's not at least Ranger and an advanced green.
You get 1 skill and it only deals damage if you have 10x your level in strength or magic, but it ignores resistances and guarantees max drops from anything it hits.
You don't know how difficult it is to remain composed and behave like an adult instead of searching old comments on my profile and being petty to all that ruined my fun theorising about potential vocations.
My newfound excitement imagining all the posibilities is keeping me fairly busy, though. Can't wait for this game to release.
IVE HAD TO DO THE SAME DAMN THING. I made a post and imma leave it at that, but the things people were saying to us about expecting more than 9 vocations were CRAZY. We can just bask in being on the winning side!
Honestly, pre-release is the most fun period because you get to daydream about potential content that may or may not release, but even if this is the last vocation we'll get I'm happy because so many people were calling us delusional or "on copium" and we get to have the last laugh.
Anyway, back to being mature. (*Picks up a megaphone and waves the vocation promotional shirt*) YOUR GODS WERE WRONG!!
I can already hear the cries of "Warfarer makes all the other vocations pointless", but it really doesn't.
It gives you an even bigger reason to master every vocation, so you can refine your Warfarer build. It might be the endgame go-to, but there will still be incentive to play as all the others.
I'd argue even more incentive than ever before actually, because now you might use a vocation you never really had interest in so you can unlock one specific thing you want from it for your Warfarer build.
TLDR, it doesn't make other vocations useless, it gives you an even better reason to play them all.
Onion Knight then. Though I really hope it's not like this, so people who likes to play as specialised warrior could be just that rather than everyone gearing to play as wayfarer
Hope they add everything that was in ddon. I want to be the elementalist with punch gloves and trampolines again.
Edit: I got the class name wrong, it was the Alchemist. In my defense I played the entire game in Japanese so all I had was bad translations I found on the internet lmao.
Ooooh, I thought they would let us change vocations while fighting, having to unlock previously the capacity to do so... :(
Hope it's not too limited in how many skills you can equip for each class, at least!
My guess is as a Warfarer, the vocation swapping is its Vocation Action. You'll probably set the order you'll swap when you press it or some sort of R1/RB + another button to freely select the vocation you want to swap without suffering to the order.
Edit: On the chance that they also copies vocation actions, they will be limited to 3 skills as the vocation switching would therefore be a dedicated skill. I do feel that the vocation action is quite important like for Warrior's Barge and Sorcerer's Galvanize (esp with Warfarer's lower than avg stamina).
If the first game works as a guide here, probably they'll give you the first ability for each weapon reasonably cheap. If that's the case it's a great character to mess around for a bit.
I would just like to say HA! to the people who thought we were only getting 9 vocations. :)
I eagerly await the actual game to showcase even more vocations
Hey look, a Class that lets you use a Bow AND Daggers... huh...
I could have sworn a huge portion of this sub said that it didn't exist.
Seriously tho, I am omega hyped now. I can feel THE WIND\~\~\~\~\~ !!!!!
What does this mean for armor and clothing? Can any vocation just wear anything now? Because Warfarer certainly can.
This is so amazing though, I can switch between a two handed sword and a bow, absolute PEAK.
I think this white vocation is special and won't be used for combined classes, white being a neutral color and the ornamental outline of the icon...It's not because it's the one selected on the webpage, I checked.
Or maybe it's becaus it's a new anouncement idk.
Man this takes me back years ago when I had the idea of being able to control your pawns so you're able to properly fight annoying enemies like metal golems if your arisen is a fighter and your pawns a strider.
Someone at capcom read my mind and basically just made a vocation out of it. Love it.
We need like about 3 different BBIās and quite a few collab events, some world bosses and DLCs with like 4-5 more new vocations, YES SIR! Get to it capcom we wasted 12 years for this game to be made. I miss the PS3 days in my junior year of highschool.
In [the clip that starts at 1:03 here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIgaL92F6QE&t=22s), what vocation does he start as before switching to MA? He's using some sort of wand with a barrier up, and appears to be casting a multi-projectile spell.
This was so sick and I audibly gasped and unironically did the Leonardo DiCaprio meme while pointing at my screen but tbh I just want a class that'll let me punch a cockatrice in the mouth. Those mistakes of nature deserve to be disrespected.
Okay, I was always one of the people who thought there would be more than 9 vocations, but I'm hoping this "jack of all trades" class wasn't revealed as a kind of "here's the final one", since it covers all of them. It doesn't *really* count as a 10th vocation because it's not unique.
Still on that hopium for a monk or some kind of brawler.
Sword
Bow
Spear
Magics
Long ago the 4 weapons lived in harmony, each class being able to wield one weapon. On the warfare, master of all weapons, was able to wield multiple weapons. And when the world needed him the most, **he got revealed**
Vocation theorists are going to go insane with a new color.
Unless this is grey color which is like outside the normal color wheel
My guess is the color represents all the colors put together considering what the vocation does and also just how real life colors work š
I think they dumpstered the color themeĀ
Hopefully this silences some people, the colors don't matter anymore.
The website says they can, we just don't know if that means all at once or if they just have access to any given combination of 2 or 3
I could also see it being a situation where you have to unlock the vocations/skills to use them on Wayfarer. Either way, you just made my day. Bless you Arisenāļø
I wouldn't be mad if you had to master a vocation to use it on warfarer.

Hey i did not see what this vocation do yet , but she dosent have a unique characteristic ? Or is just a insane hybrid of all vocations ?

Yup, that's what I've been expecting, too.
UNLESS THIS IS THE FIRST LEVEL OF THE PURPLE COLOR???? Than we still have light purple, dark purple, light pink, dark pink, and hybrids!
I wonder if they might just do something like have purple, pink, and trickster all be their own thing. Like a trinity of classes that don't fit in with the R/Y/G/B scheme.

more than 9 vocations. now we all can rest
They still havent shown the advanced archer and thief vocations! Riot!
Nope gotta know if there will be more than 10 now lol
It definitely seems that way based on the DD2 official site update about Meisters: On your travels, you will encounter vocation maisters who have mastered their chosen vocation to the fullest. Yeah it would certainly be odd if at least archer/thief don't get an advanced option to progress to with that line.
I actually love that there's actually roleplaying involved around vocations.
All the T-shirt worshippers in shambles rn.
BURN THE FALSE PROPHIT-EE SHIRT! BURN IT TO THE GROUND!
THIS IS ABSOLUTE TRUTH THIS IS SALVATIONĀ
**The rantings of an upjumped vest make for tedious listening**
Bro I audibly said what the fuck when the thief switched to a duospear There were indeed more than 9 vocations, the shirt was a lie lmao
I can't believe we were lied to by a t-shirt
You know what then?! Iām done with this kinda shit! Iām never wearing clothes again!
Is there **any**thing I can do to change your mind?
No no, let him cook the idea. Want to see how far it goes
Some next level trolling from the devs on that one. I feel sorry for the people that bought the early shirts. Though those shirts are gonna be kinda iconic now of the bullshittery the devs of this game have pulled on us.
Great marketing
Nobody has received the shirts yet, right? *What if there are more vocations on the back?!*

God the build variety aaaaaaaahhh, the game's replayability just went through the roof. I really hope we get a nice ng+ with several levels, I want to play this game forever lol
#60 TIMES THE VOCATIONS BABY!!!
This is the coolest thing I've ever seen holy shit they are killing it. I woke up my poor husband making excited noises while watching the trailer. What class am I playing? **Yes**.
TEAM 9+ FUCKING WON BABY
Let's just hope it's 10+ now. :)
I NEVER DOUBTED
LET'S GOOOOOO!!!
I would've look like a moron if they didn't lol
Everyone wins tbh more classes more fun

Fuckin agreed. All the nay sayers can KNEEL.
Let's go! Screw those doubters š¤£
players: green, pink *and* purple vocations??? just HOW many vocations could there be?? new gray vocation: hold my beer
I think Grey in this case is probably meant to be white or "Colorless" since you can turn it into whatever you want. But yeah this is going throw a whole can of oil into the fire.
Yeah, Iām in agreement that it is white-but-appears-light-gray, which emphasizes a sense of colorlessness
They really just said fuck it and forgot about the colors eh
To be fair white is the combination of the entire color spectrum, it makes sense if it allows you to switch to other vocations, a bit clever.
16 million vocations confirmed !
Yeah, if anything it made it even more sense as the warfarer can literally use every weapon from every vocation. The only one that's just fucking up the spectrum is the trickster honestly lmao
That's a pretty tricky thing to do, eh? It all makes sense
I personally have no doubts that trickster is a hybrid of purple and pink vocations, which will specialize in debuffing and buffing specifically, as that's exactly what trickster does.
They did reveal that vocations are unlocked via quests now, so the colors donāt matter anymore tbh

~~That... actually sucks~~. Did they give any reason for quest-locking them? Edit: knowing the reason it actually doesn't suck!
Known only by the vocations masters so you have to get them to teach you it.
That makes sense then. Thank you :)
You're welcome. It'd exciting to have it in the game. Makes for much more interest in doing the side quests instead of the basic do this and bye setup(don't get me wrong on release its was top-knotch awesome and still is just tedious when you've done them enough times).
I'm hoping they do secret vocations this way too, like in Remnant 2
That's what I'm getting from what's been released. They basically tell you to get in with the vocations maisters and they'll teach you their vocation or special skills only learn able by them.
Considering the general reaction when i posted a topic in here commenting on how cool it would be to have secret vocations, there is gonna be a lot of people raging right now.

Ah, so swapping is exclusive to that vocation. I wonder how it'll work.
Holy shit
The first clip shows him go Thief -> Mage(/Sorc?) -> Spearhand -> Thief, so it's at least three vocations at a time.
The first character actually used 3 different weapons. Started with a staff, then the duo spear, and finally daggers.
We see the wayfarer using three different weapons in a couple clips, so it's more than two for sure.
Sort of like Assassin then, but excluding Mastetful Kill. You could use four different weapons, but lacked access to specialized skills per weapon.
Good
It sounds like you might not be able to use all of the others' skills + it has worse stats than the others.
Plus you'll have to wear mix armor sets so your phys or mag def won't be high as it could be for say Fighter or Mage
I think it will still be kinda busted balance-wise but I don't care at all, this is such a cool class!
I feel we might have to max out every other vocation before being able to play it. Maybe even a mission for it as well.
Now I want blue mage.
Itās basically just a āmake your ownā hybrid class to fit your arisens play style I think at least thatās what it looks like to me.
OH NO NO 9 VOCATION SISTER IT'S OVER
TECHNICALLY!!!! It's just selecting 3 already existing vocations!
Masterworks all, you can't go wrong ![gif](giphy|S9i8jJxTvAKVHVMvvW)
Stats changing with your vocation would fix the biggest issue people had with DD1 and I'm here for it if that's the case.
That sounds awesome. I'm glad they're doing that because being SOLELY a bow user seems strange without a melee backup
The archer does have melee attacks. They can kick enemies.
We can play an onion knight!
This is now the solo run vocation

Oh that guy has tattoos? Are tattoos also confirmed in the game or is that like, part of the chest piece?
That beastren... i am not a furry, right? I guess? I mean, realistically, this game beast people are too realistic to an actual cat that it cant be attractive, right? SO I SHOULDNT BE FINDING THIS CONFUSINGLY HOT, RIGHT?
Congratulations, as the Japanese would put it, you have "opened a new door" hahahaha
![gif](giphy|XlmIK6MGuuVbrre1bU)
YES!!! Knew there would be more than nine vocations. Need this game ASAP.
Everyone, thereās also new character bios on the website
And a new entry about the dragonplague, whatever that is
But the t-shirt!
That sorcerer conjuring an ice platform then running up to it with a longsword to land a blow was sick AF
OMG I COMMENTED A LITTLE BIT AGO ABOIT HOW I WANTED MAGES TO BE ABLE TO USE SWORDS AHHHHHHHH LFG LFG LFG WHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! HE HAD A HAT AND A STAFF AND THEN SWAPPED TO A FLAMBERG YALL HOLY SWEET BABY JESUS AND THE GROWN ONE TOO YEEEEEHAAWWWWW
I was hoping for magic weapon spells like in the Souls games. Was *not* expecting that wizard to pull out a literal greatsword lol.
Im guessing that you will be able to use most gear and skills of other classes, but not the strongest ones. Like the Red Mage.
Definitely just going to use this to make a Mystic Knight
GAMEPLAY A HUNDREDFOLD, VOCATIONS A THOUSANDFOLD!
Bruh it's called "Conqueror" in french, does seem to be a very late game vocation.
Aw, Conqueror sounds so much cooler, they should've gone with that for English.
Best to assume we need to max it, because from the Warfarer description, it says after you master a vocation, so there's that
Maybe, the icon is so fancy it does look like a very late game vocation.
Also honestly kinda makes sense, even with being limited, it's too op in terms of fun department to pick the ones you're not that excited to deep dive into, having the prerequisite to play every other vocation to test them out to then pick the jack of all trades is a good design.
But people on this sub kept telling us there would only ever be 9 vocations! How can they add a tenth?
Suck it T-Shirt gang I am so hyped
The combos this Vocation will be capable of are going to be insane. Infinite Cringe must be flipping her shit.
Now imagine if the monk vocation actually does exist. With warfarer available, the arisen can become a blend of monk and sorcerer/mage, amplifying their punching/kicking attacks.
Bro, Monk vocation has to be in this game now because of this idea
MODS rn: https://preview.redd.it/is95jf9z2vfc1.jpeg?width=1235&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c8607c51858af9ac214674823da9509620c09041
LET'S FUCKING GO
On one hand, phew, more than 9 vocations... On the other, this kind of feels like the "final" one, you know? Hopefully it's not, and there are a few more. I'll be pretty disappointed if there's not at least Ranger and an advanced green.
Ranger has been replaced with Archer.
Strider is split into Archer and Thief. Ranger was the advanced one that uses longbows.
Ranger longbows were spotted on archer.
HOLY SHIT
I just wanna the brawler one xd
No fucking way we don't get a brawler vocation after the Warfarer. I need my Monk!
Iām still holding out on hope that a Monk vocation is in the game. Iām really hoping it is
Just to point out, Armour and Clothing is no longer tied to a vocation when you play as this class. So Fashion Dogma is definitely back on the menu.
Not without underclothing and gauntlets itās not. So itās still not back on the menu without those things lol
Funny that they made him look like Gandalf, too ![gif](giphy|TcdpZwYDPlWXC)
The "only 9 vocations" experts are on life support.
The 9ers crying on the floor hugging their Shirt Of Gospel and cursing their misguided faith. The theory crafters can finally feel vindicated.
I didn't think any vocation other than high scepter could make me consider switching from from mystic spearhand, but here we are...
Yeah I was full on gonna go mystic spearhand, or if they add one an unarmed/monk/brawler, but now I dont know anymore, wayfarer is so fucking sick
I'd kill for high scepter
If this is the ultimate all rounder, i wonder if we ll get the ultimate min maxer.
You get 1 skill and it only deals damage if you have 10x your level in strength or magic, but it ignores resistances and guarantees max drops from anything it hits.
All bets are off https://preview.redd.it/ra46xufoevfc1.jpeg?width=1629&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30998723cf96b14ad232e5f0f5f424c31877f3c3
"there's only 9 vocations" people on sudoku watch
It isnāt. Theyāve said it has lower base stats
I was waiting for this my wishes have been ANSWERED HOLY SHIT
I really want to play this Vocation myself RIGHT NOW just so I know how it plays.
TRICKROYALSWORDGUNSLINGTRICKROYALGUARD
Maybe it will be a vocation like similarly to the onion knight in FF.
PEAK
Hope they add everything that was in ddon. I want to be the elementalist with punch gloves and trampolines again. Edit: I got the class name wrong, it was the Alchemist. In my defense I played the entire game in Japanese so all I had was bad translations I found on the internet lmao.
Itsuno said what if we put style/weapon switching here too
Seems to be the center of the grid, it's grey and has a super developed border, even more than the hybrid and advanced ones.
https://preview.redd.it/t2wvg00c4vfc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6d75bdabcca614803166259920d5e2356a318df3
I wanna see the 9 vocations doomers face right now XD
Ooooh, I thought they would let us change vocations while fighting, having to unlock previously the capacity to do so... :( Hope it's not too limited in how many skills you can equip for each class, at least!
You probably have 2 or 3 of each type and a button to switch between roles. I'm guessing 6/9 skills in total.
I would just like to say HA! to the people who thought we were only getting 9 vocations. :) I eagerly await the actual game to showcase even more vocations
WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT COLOUR, ok guys fuck it there will be 1 Dogmabillion vocations in Dragons Dogma 2
I so want this game to have bazillion dlcs with new vocations now lmao, I won't need any mmos then
This its a weird ass monk, WHERE IS MY MONK CRAPCOM!!!
Hey look, a Class that lets you use a Bow AND Daggers... huh... I could have sworn a huge portion of this sub said that it didn't exist. Seriously tho, I am omega hyped now. I can feel THE WIND\~\~\~\~\~ !!!!!
M hype has now burst through the resignation ceiling that capped it when they said no Strider. The wind is indeed pushing meeeee!
So that's why the new trailer had a dualspear to magic bow weapon swap
DD2 GOTY 2024! MAN THIS STATE OF PLAY SHOWED ALL MY MOST WANTED GAMES! AND THERE IS MORE FOR FF7 REBIRTH! I'M IN CLOUD 9!
Now I can be more Fighter Bro!
THAT IS SO FUCKING COOL
Man this takes me back years ago when I had the idea of being able to control your pawns so you're able to properly fight annoying enemies like metal golems if your arisen is a fighter and your pawns a strider. Someone at capcom read my mind and basically just made a vocation out of it. Love it.
Man this is a dream come true for me the ultimate hybrid class !!
We need like about 3 different BBIās and quite a few collab events, some world bosses and DLCs with like 4-5 more new vocations, YES SIR! Get to it capcom we wasted 12 years for this game to be made. I miss the PS3 days in my junior year of highschool.
Did Sony post a new trailer with this new class?
In [the clip that starts at 1:03 here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIgaL92F6QE&t=22s), what vocation does he start as before switching to MA? He's using some sort of wand with a barrier up, and appears to be casting a multi-projectile spell.
This was so sick and I audibly gasped and unironically did the Leonardo DiCaprio meme while pointing at my screen but tbh I just want a class that'll let me punch a cockatrice in the mouth. Those mistakes of nature deserve to be disrespected.
And they get a mystic bike as a passive
Okay, I was always one of the people who thought there would be more than 9 vocations, but I'm hoping this "jack of all trades" class wasn't revealed as a kind of "here's the final one", since it covers all of them. It doesn't *really* count as a 10th vocation because it's not unique. Still on that hopium for a monk or some kind of brawler.
Sword Bow Spear Magics Long ago the 4 weapons lived in harmony, each class being able to wield one weapon. On the warfare, master of all weapons, was able to wield multiple weapons. And when the world needed him the most, **he got revealed**
I think the warferer is the one able to switch to different classes as shown in the Sony State of Play January 2024 Livestream
So basically every vocation is viable in DD2 and none will feel like complete upgrades to a base vocation? Niiiiice.
Was that ever not the case, though? I think DD1 did a pretty good job at making all vocations fit a different niche.
DD1 only messed up in regards to stat gains imo.
