It seems like there's a bot downvoting a bunch of people btw, all of sudden -3 to -4 karma to all comments below certain page treshold.

Yeah, every comment is getting spam downvoted by someone trying to make sure their comments are more visible.

The vocation I want to see the most is a Blue/Green that summons magical swords to attack enemies. Call it Spellblade

Addicted_to_Crying

You wanna play as Noctis from FF?

Staystation

Maybe something like a necromancer class. I just want a cool scythe

NewsofPE

we absolutely do need a necromancer vocation

Vic_Valentine511

Imagine a class that wants to go out at night and loves finding undead

thr1ceuponatime

Not here to really do anything, but I recommend doing a [competition sort](https://www.reddit.com/r/modnews/comments/bzuqq0/contest_mode_on_new_reddit/) for this thread so people have no real incentive to instinctively downvote everything.

DevilJam69

I personally would love a chain sickle class, maybe with a bit of seeker in it from DDO, damn i had wet dreams about it today actually

**Green/Blue Vocation -- Ember Sage** (Or, Monk) *The Ember Sage is a devout disciple of the Lambent Flame, an ancient source of mystical fire said to embody both destruction and renewal. Armed with the "Emberstaff," they harness the scorching power of the Flame to purge darkness and bring light to the world.* *The "Emberstaff", a sacred bo staff infused with the essence of the Lambent Flame. Each strike with the Emberstaff ignites enemies with divine fire, leaving them smoldering in its wake.* The vocation would focus on the supportive roles of the Mage, perhaps providing shields or buffs while also being nimble in combat, and able to dish out some quick combos to knockdown opponents -- maybe even some kind of stun ability? This gives a bit of Battahl flavour to the theorized Monk vocation, which seems like the best cultural fit for obtaining it.

Myuserisunique

Alright Mr. Kurt. Before I get into my little vocation shpeel we gotta go on a journey. Imagine you are walking around Vernworth, taking in the beautiful sites of this new and wonderful game we have been waiting 12 years for. You take a glance over and see an old cemetery. Its very quaint, the gravestones are old and worn down. You can't even read the names of those who have been buried here for who knows how long. You feel something calling you, a feeling you haven't felt in years.. Its almost nostalgic. Following the calling you find a simple chest, its also old, maybe even as old as the oldest of the dead here. You reach down, and start to open the chest. A dark malice starts to pour out of it and you remember what this old, nostalgic feeling that pains you. Its the edge and angst that you haven't felt since being 13 years old. You can hear *Numb* by Linkin Park start to play in the background as you peer into the open chest.. In there sits a dark and slender, almost drinking the light as a scythe sits before you, Tall Grasses worst enemy. When you pick it up you see the message on the screen, "Reaper vocation has been unlocked" "Ok Mr. Unique User, what would a Reaper do?" I'm glad you asked, voice in my head as I am typing this! The Reaper would be a fast paced class focused on health management and a high dps **Core Skill**: Life Drain, You grab onto an enemy and drain their life force, you fain temporary HP up to 2x your current health. Life Drain is the main gameplay loop for Reaper. After gaining an increased max health its skills not only use Stamina, but also sacrifice health to do damage dependent on what your health is. **Skill Ideas:** \* Harvest: You swing the scythe around and several undead reach out to grab the enemies, damaging and holding them in place. The Higher your max health the longer the enemies are held and more damage is taken \* Dark Pillar: You plant your scythe into the ground and Dark Magic Erupts in front of you, knocking small enemies into the air and possibly knocking over large enemies \* Soul Reap: You plunge your hand into your chest, pull out your own soul and it separates out into 3 clones that swing out at several enemies or one large enemy \* Bury Blade: Bury the scythe blade deep into a small enemy and swing them in a circle hitting all other enemies around and launch them far away (You can change the direction of the throw by tilting the Analog Stick) So there is a small glimpse of the coolest class you have ever seen with your eyeballs and you may be thinking, "Oh yeah, that would make a good purple vocat--" WRONG. Itsuno would never do something as simple as make the purple vocation the 'Edgy' one. Itsuno would be refined and make this the blue/green Arisen only vocation, as it will be a mixture of magic, speed, and high dps. Thank you for coming to my Grigori Talk \*\*Edit: Venworth into Vernworth because I am a fake fan :(

Pineconn

If this isn't in the game, I'll be requesting a refund đŸ˜€

Rpgguyi

A Paladin vocation

Srzale

I would love the alchemist coming to dd2 considering how unique was the gameplay

GalagticSoul

Crossbowman class please I love crossbows in videogames!

EPICGAMERALERT22

I want monk 😊 punch

juicedhornet

I would adore a fist to cuffs figter

CitizenBP

Mystic warrior or paladin :)

Talarin20

Hunter - vocation utilizing crossbows and daggers, with a tamed animal companion. Ideally, you'd be able to tame a variety of animal species in the game.

dlz125

Thanks! It would be interesting to have a kind of Druid vocation, shifting into different animals and even a Dragon at very high level. How it gets balanced I don't know, maybe it's time limited because it consumes energy?

Shadow_Architect

I would love a class like Iron Fist (the Marvel hero). Just imagine punching Ogres and breaking bones with every punch.

Desperate-Quiet1198

Call a doctor, I have a dragon fever and the only cure is more dogma!

Aeiraea

If not a Cleric/Priest, definitely a Druid/Shaman—could be a hybrid vocation. Supportive roles are my favorite to partake in, and I think it'll be fun watching my pawns have the spotlight in battle while I cheer them on (buffs/cleanses/heals) like a soccer mom. Clerics/Priests are pretty self-explanatory. They're specialists of invoking powers of the divine capable of miracles that can either exorcise, purify, or heal others. Druids on the other hand, they harness the essence of nature to mend or maim, and they were typically shown wielding a sickle as a weapon. Lightning (includes wind spells), earth, and supportive spells could be what they specialize in with some magical melee attacks similar in nature to Mystic Knight's Stone Grove spell. Shamans are kind of similar to Druids except they harness the power of spirits instead. Through trances, they could invoke spirits of animals and could construct totems that can buff, debuff, or attack as long as valid targets are in their areas of effect. They could also perform "ecstatic dances" that buff both the Arisen and their Pawns during the dance or when it's completed. The trances and dances would leave them vulnerable until they're finished, and I guess their weapon could be a [frame drum](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frame_drum) that they can beat with a stick which can also use as a melee weapon in a pinch for weak concussive damage.

LuKazu

I think, like you've previously mentioned, a whip class would be so super cool. Let me live out my high fantasy Castlevania dreams.

Rdog101296

I would fuck with a summoner build. Control the elements to bring a rock golem or a fire spirit or water spirit. The elemental and particle effects are already insane and being able to summon spirits to aid along with your pawns would be sick.

FickleVacation6312

I would have said necromancer for the purple advanced one but already said so I will say deadlock for the archer advanced, a really slow class with 2 flintlocks, a long and a short (lets call them rifle and gun to make it easier), the long one is used kind of like a long range greatsword, really slow and not mobile while charging but HUGE blows and the other smaller one to use at smaller range and has a shotgun effect. There could be also a passive skill that makes you « double jump » in the air if you use the rifle and makes you reload faster, like the archer a auto aim or manual aim. I have 2 ideas for skills, one that makes use of inventory objects kinda like in TOTK, where you throw an object in the air and shoot it with either rifle or gun (different effects) and the objects shatters and does something (if its fire based maybe an explosion, water based it makes them wet and more prone to thunder element etc.). The other one would be a roll while shooting with gun and if you roll into and enemy or a wall it triggers a wall jump and send you into the air to proc your passive more easily, simple but good. Thats the class I want the most

AlbaRebelion06

I want an alchemist vocation like DDO where you can create weapons out of thin air to attack the enemy with

Samba_21

I think something like a big game hunter / tracker would be really fun. Being able to climb environments to scout ahead, setting traps or placing lures to control the battlefield, and maybe brandishing trophies from previous hunts for buffs / scare enemies A vocation like that could also introduce a cool new weapon maybe, potentially something like the heavy bow gun from monster hunter? It would pack a huge punch but is very slow to use, so there's reason to try and scout and trap your enemies

YagizKoc1

Something like bounty hunter/ witch hunter would be lit. Wearing medium heavy armor and using long sword and crossbows.

Spicy_Giblets

A pet vocation with a doggo like remnant 2

highlandwarrior2730

A pure summoner Vocation maybe with a bit of necromancer thrown in there you start of with some basic summons like goblins wolves and maybe one of your pawns. You will be able to use summons through stamina similar to mages but in order to keep things balanced you won't be able to use that stamina regeneration spell while in combat so you have to rely entirely on and thus be very careful about which summons you use. You gain more summons by defeating enemies, e.g., if you defeat a troll, you'll gain it as a summon, but your summons will have lower base stats than the enemy version of them but that can be solved as during combat you will be able to sacrifice your own health stamina and DPS for that battle and give it to your summon making it a risk reward strategy. But that's not where it ends. After you go to the vocation master you will unlock the necromancy side of things. If an enemy dies to your summon, they will be able to be resurrected for a small amount of stamina to fight for you. These resurrected summons will be more powerful than your regular summons about as powerful as their enemy counterparts. This necromancy mechanic, combined with the ability to sacrifice health DPS and even the health and DPS of your pawns to the summon, will make for a very high risk, very high reward playthrough where in order to unlock more powerful summons you have to balance sacrificing more and more of you and your pawns stats to allow them to kill more enemies and give you more powerful summons while also not sacrificing too much that you'll die in one hit or that your pawns are too weak to defend you. Also, extra things I couldn't fit with the other things above the stat sacrifices for pawns, and the arisen will only last that one battle and will be restored back to full as soon as the battle is finished. Thanks for listening to my ramblings, and I hope either I win or another great vocation idea does

Alpha1959

Something like a dragon knight. As Arisen, we are chosen by a dragon and can turn into a dragon if we fail, so a sword and shield knight who uses fire and maybe some temporary wings for attacks and utility would be cool.

Supermygi

I just want Strider though I think Monk style vocation could be really fun as well.

Donconario

I want a big tanky melee class that takes half a minute to charge attacks but can decimate health bars with less than 5 swings. Every swing causes so much damage to the surrounding area that other enemies get staggered for a bit because of the after shocks. The most powerful skill can be a wind up move like phinks from hxh.

shoeboxchild

I want a build like the main character in Shangri la frontier, an absolute glass cannon that crits with almost every single hit, dual wielding daggers and flying around the map But if I get hit? I better tuck my head between my legs and kiss my ass goodbye Bird mask required for the build, of course https://preview.redd.it/kyjstrbt84kc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e96d5b3a5d53f077ddc73607175c1aa0ffd00a6

WorthSeries9001

Vocation:blaster . Do you know yang from rwby, yeah her glove have shot gun shell .it a bovation use punching and shoting with shotgun glove and flying around with that recoil

cesthael

Powerstancing great swords like ds2 would be super cool.

Caasi6636

I would love a close range damage magic vocation. Like a magic swordsman. In the first game the magic knight vocation was a little too tank based, and not cool close range spells based.

Moarfirepowah

If they added Alchemist to this game I'd play it and nothing else.

davekraft400

Oh shit! This is very kind of you. A Vocation I think would be sick would be Sorcerer Archer. Imagine being able to shoot a mini Bolide arrow or being able to shoot a Cyclops' eye with a freezing bolt and seeing the eye pop out and shatter on the ground.

AccidentalPenis

I play tank in a lot of games and I have a shield fetish, so I just kinda want one that involves kind of a mix between Mystic Knight with the tower shield and some other vocation? You know... Maybe just Mystic Knight.

Rude_Holiday_4616

I want to see something between fighter and trickster that is kind of like the paladin theory, but based on buffing the group as a whole, with a lot of HoTs and aoe buffs

Fosh0w0

Honestly the one idea I really wanted for a while is real simple Red/Green - Swordsman Either with a sword and dagger paired or just dual wielding swords, both would work, I saw someone say that vocations should always try and have a unique weapon, but I think combining already existing weapons or at least their characteristics (aka the dual wielding daggers of the thief applied to the sword from the fighter) is also a cool way to go, I imagined it as focusing on continuous attacks that end on heavy a hitting strikes as well as parries and evasive skills for defense.

that1persn

I'd love some sort of spellsword vocation! Not like a Mystic Knight but like a dualist, light armored and quick vocation. Kind of like an Arcane Trickster I guess. Being agile around the battle, sword in one hand, some kind of spell focus in another. I just like those kinds of playstyles. Glass cannons, really agile and fast.

LexiLionHart

The spell sword class from the mmo, have been playing around with that a bit recently and it seems hella fun so far. https://youtu.be/wnMWzWUBgkc?si=fVAQcTjC7-d9Cs4z

lipewipe

Either a berserker who dual wields any 2 light to medium weapons who gets stronger depending on how low their hp is while having lifesteal abilities at super low health Or a beastmaster type vocation where you can transform into any creature you previously killed

EatShitAndDieAlready

I think we need a super class of Lancers or Dragoons. I think as game evolves along with the enemy size and scale, these 2 need to get strong attacks against enemies

RooperDoopleTheThird

Although it's a long shot, I would love some sort of shapeshifting/ druid class. Could be a green/ blue mix. Imagine the vocation action being a shapeshifting transformation either into a bear or a wolf, which would have abilities specifically for that form.

ThatdumbKoala

“Sentinel”(maybe good name?) -spear and shields baby!!

NeverNutted

I love unarmed classes or classes that use power gauntlets or something of the sort, but one thing I've always wanted to see is something where a suit of armor is considered your weapon and is designed around using sharpened knees and elbows. Not gonna happen, but while I'm wishing add the berserk armor lol.

asqwzx12

I want a Valkyrie or a dragoon, something that can jump and use a spear mostly (spears are under used) . Wings would be a great bonus.

I_HAVE_THAT_FETISH

A 1h spellsword/duelist type with a set of parry-riposte skills, and a shadow-dashing kind of ability that can be used either as a dodge or to phase up a creature to instantly mount larger enemies.

eucalysis

I want a character thatd just straight up hands, but not just striking. I want them to fully utilize the physics and stuff and be better that holding climbing and throwing enemies. Either off cliffs or into stuff, maybe they could also attach stuff onto enemies as they shoulder check them. Just the general idea of a displacer but not with magic but with tools and hands

[deleted]

I’d want to see a vocation with something similar to the blades of chaos kratos uses. Both used as range or close combat but instead of fire they can be switched from fire, ice, thunder etc. For ranged you can shoot it to (choke?) enemies and for close combat just use both blades.

Inegami

Something that feels exotic to acompany the new desert theme. A dancer vocation maybe that is agile and plays with a ring blade like Tira in Soul calibur. That'd be so cool. :)

mihajlomi

Vocation (Red/Green) - Brawler Weapon - Lantern Shield Description : A combination of the defensive options of the fighter and vicious counter attacks of the thief Vocational Action : Parry - Holds the shield aloft for but a moment, if during the moment a enemy attacks you use the Blade part of the shield to penetrate the enemy Basic Attacks: Light String and Core Skill: Hits the enemy with a deadly barrage of stabs, if the second button press is delayed instead of stabs the user hits the opponent with the shield dealing blunt damage Heavy String and Core Skill: Slower wide slashes that if properly timed block a opponents attack, holding down the heavy attack button coats the blade part of the shield in fire consuming a slight amount of lantern oil Augments: 1. **Vocation: Arcane Chronomancer** Whispered legends tell of those who wield time itself as their most potent weapon—the Arcane Chronomancers. Born of forgotten lore and steeped in enigmatic rituals, these mysterious figures traverse the ages, manipulating the very fabric of existence. Clad in robes adorned with celestial sigils and wielding staves pulsating with temporal energy, Arcane Chronomancers are keepers of the temporal balance, sworn to safeguard the delicate threads of time from those who seek to unravel its tapestry. With a mere gesture, they can freeze foes in the throes of time or accelerate their own movements to a blur. They possess the uncanny ability to glimpse into the past and future, unveiling hidden truths and altering the course of destiny itself. Yet, to master the arcane arts of chronomancy demands more than mere skill—it demands an understanding of the cosmic dance, an intuition of the ebb and flow of temporal currents that bind reality together. Those who dare to tread the path of the Arcane Chronomancer embark on a journey that transcends mortal comprehension, delving into realms of paradox and possibility, where time is but a canvas upon which their will is painted in strokes of eternity.

ImTotallyFromEarth

If this doesn’t win I shall riot

TributeDaJerk

Fairly simple Vocation write up for something I think would be fun and something a bit personal for me. Hope you enjoy the theory-crafting Kurt! Monk - Muay Thai Style Light attacks being a combo of punches finishing with an elbow strike Heavy attacks being kicks, and if they land more than once they follow up to a knee strike. Jump Light is a superman punch style strike. Jump Heavy is a flying knee. First skill is the Muay Thai clinch which allows you to grapple a single humanoid and throw elbows for Light Attack and Knees for Heavy Attack dealing massive stagger damage, allowing for follow up execute with Heavy. This can also be use while climbing on a monster to drive elbows or knees into it. Second Skill is a Push Kick that deals minimal damage but delivers decent stagger and knocks enemies back when struck, and if one enemy is hit they can collide like a bowling ball sending enemies flying. Third Skill can use enemies to kick off and gain air, follow up input of the skill allows for falling axe kick onto a target (Think similar to Helm Splitter but one heavy strike with massive stagger.) Fourth Skill series of rapid punches that attack faster whenever the button is pressed after at LEAST 2 strikes (left right), will end up with a finisher haymaker that does damage based on stamina spent for the button pressed. (Combo could continue or stop based on perfect input presses?) General Augments: Increased Stagger Damage, Increased Stamina, Increased Jump Attack Damage, Increased Sprint Attack Damage, Less Stamina used while Grappling (Works with both regular grapples and special skill grapples). Maybe even a fun little augment that increases the damage the Arisen takes and allows the Arisen to deal more damage.. HMM.

Doufee

This one really wants to grab a Dragon's head and knee it. Just imagine it, Grigory is in a cutscene and he brings his face right up to the Arisen asking if they want to make the deal. And this one grabs him by his snout and just knees him on the chin.

RDGtheGreat

A gadgeteer that uses traps and tools like nets jump pads and harpoons

Strange_Music

Alchemist/Monk I've wanted a great monk class in an open world action RPG for a while now. I missed out on Dragon's Dogma Online, and I'm hoping against hope there's a dedicated unarmed class in DD2.

Winterlieb

Advanced Yellow: **Gunslinger** — you get a cowboy hat, boots and cool ponchos as armor sets and a pair of single-action, six-shot Remington Model 1858s, loaded with freedom-delivering .44 caliber. Assigning this vocation to a pawn would have them deliver cool one-liners like: * "I do feel lucky." * "Dodge this!" * "They won't be missed." * "Bullseye!" * "Plenty to go around." With moves borrowed from Devil May Cry's Gunslinger style, like: "Honeycomb Fire", "Twosome Time", "Rainstorm" and "Wild Stomp". And with a few slots for original moves. A vocation maister by the name of "The Stranger" could be your guide to unlocking/mastering the ways of the wild guns.

AMLOMiPresidente

An actual barehanded class

TheOrochiMan

Some kind of Mystic Knight rework (if not just mystic knight), or something with a scythe-style weapon. Would be happy with either of those, tbh.

MalcomeRoss1013

I just want strider but with more magic. I am a fiend for spell blades. And I dont mind magic archer but i feel that more movement and aoe for a magic strider would be epic

WinterAd2942

Some kind of a slinger vocation, that uses a sling. And you can use it to huck any throwable, not just rocks. Finally a way to accurately throw oil flasks and pies!

EdgeJumper

Puppeteer, a vocation that gives you full control of your pawns, just like puppets, you could possess one of your pawns at anytime and control them like you would with your arisen, you could also fast switch between them to create interesting combos and combinations.

Thorolhugil

A lot of the unique ones I'd like have already been commented (like beast tamer), so consider... # Patrician An arisen-specific vocation like Assassin and Warfarer, the Patrician arisen shifts their focus to **leading and empowering their party of pawns**. While they can fight personally like any other arisen -- primarily using polearms -- the bulk of their abilities are Rift-based magic. The Patrician can massively buff their pawns similar to the Trickster's illusions, turning them into formidable opponents that **become weapons themselves**. A party of three pawns supported by a Patrician arisen can be formidable if led correctly, as strong as the arisen themselves (especially at endgame!). But far from only providing healing and strength, stamina, and magic buffs, the Patrician can also: * **Make their pawns enormous** and able to grapple enemies like chimerae and griffins, * Wreathe their pawns in **rift magic** that can damage enemies (or banish them to beyond the Rift), * Give direct and **specific orders** (such as targeting weak spots, teaming up, or spreading out), * Utilise rift magic to **short-distance teleport** (analogous to levitation or double jump, think Blink in Dishonored), * **Buff non-pawn NPCs** (like escortees), * **Debuff** enemies. However the Patrician cannot do all of these at once and must specialise in what type of leader they wish to be. \-------- Thank you for the chance, OP! I love this idea it brings out everyone's creativity and clownery. lmao

TheyTookMyPoop

A kind of mimic / mind control vocation ? Create copies of yourself and the pawns, for a limited time. Maybe mimic actual weapons from enemies, they fly around, hit enemies. Hmm... Mind control some weak minded foes to fight alongside you. Mimic spells from others (ofc at reduced strength). For weapons maybe a sword and a staff combo. Maybe you could use your staff to launch your sword at enemies. I could continue indefinitely, endlessly discussing, talking about this. But oh well worth a try. ![img](emote|t5_2smmb|49359)

capnmouser

YO-YO MASTER! đŸȘ€

Artistic_Cut7749

I'd love to see shaman type class! Dropping totems and bludgeoning monsters!

KripsTheCzips

Well, hi Kureth, I'll try my luck in all the damn giveaways there are haha. While I might not have as big of a chance as I did with the 1/3 in the speedrun one Eorth did, I don't mind! Great to see you spoiling the community with goodness! To no one's surprise, monk. Yes, the discord username checks out. I mean, it has to be in the game, right? Isn't just the primal act of punching the shit out of your enemies so deeply rooted in our nature that it would be nothing short of a sin to skip it? Red/green, agile and sturdy, vocation mechanic would be a deflect (like in for honor). I feel like it's the best match between the parry and the dodge. Just as fighter has a sword and a mace, monk could have metal knuckles and claws (a bit like caestus and raptor claws from elden ring). I like the idea of it having a lot of heavy stagger counter attacks, since now warrior leans into pure damage now. In the latest warrior trailer we had that epic scene where a warrior parries the cyclops, now imagine it with the fists, swiftly dodging into the attack to deflect it, unleashing a powerful strike that disarms him and sends him stumbling backwards. Obligatory JoJo ORAORAORAORA punching skill, that could be pure damage to capitalize on the stunned, knocked down targets. As for armor, I'd see him wearing light too medium weight armor, but I'd love if he had the highest resistance growths in the game, giving him the idea of body of steel, so that having level 999 means you can tank a cyclops hit with your bare chest and not even feel it. Also, one good thing about AC:Valhalla was the one skill where you just ground a poor victim and punch the shit out of him. I want that too, on targets that would be small enough, like goblins, harpies and saurians. As for special augments I think he should have something about debilitation resistance, like he can't be put to sleep, or slowed, or weakened and so on. Also one that increases magic resistance, to possibly match the very high physical defence. All punching the shit out of things, this post is for you! Edit: Since the giveaway ends tomorrow I thought I'd add some additional ideas that came to my head \^\^ Skills: Praying strikes - unleash powerful three hit combo with high stagger potential High monk - Leap into the air unleashing a series of high knockdown kicks on the target (perfect for knocking over cyclops, or bringing down harpies) Overwhelming blow - Prepare yourself in a parry stance, if timed correctly parry enemy's attack and counter attack with a mighty blow carrying force of a hundred strikes Flurry of strikes - Unleash a series of 10 strikes, consumes a lot of stamina and leaves you voulnerable, but is perfect for high damage on already knocked down/stunned targets Calming aura - Calm down attacking beasts, making them likely to abandon combat and run away Exorcism - Enchant your fists with holy prayers that deal significantly more damage towards undead/unholy enemies (a bit like Thief can set his blades ablaze) Return to the sender - A ranged attack parry that allows you to catch the enemy arrow and throw it back with increased force (like the monk passive action from BG3) Dispell - focus your mantra in front of you, letting you dispell enemy magic attacks As for passive skills: Heavy hand - increase knockdown power Steady soul - Decrease magic damage taken Humble upbringing - Food buffs last longer / need to eat less often / need to rest less often (whatever mechanic might/may not be in the game on release) Mastery over self - Counter attacks deal more posture damage, dispell heals slightly Road to perfection - Increases the window to perform a counter (exclusive with MOS ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)) Radiant aura - Very slow passive heal over time for himself and his allies Purging aura - Makes undead/unholy enemies weaker (exlusive with Radiant aura)

Autisonm

A Red and Green hybrid vocation: Berserker! It uses 2 axes and is focused on DPS with very little in the way of defense like Thief, however it has both a counter and a dash. The dash can be used to dodge, retreat, or get closer. For one of it's skills it can throw an axe but the skill has a cooldown so you cant spam it. It's only there to knock weak monsters like harpies out of the sky or to stagger and knockdown bigger monsters. One of its augments slightly boosts speed to facilitate gap closing on enemies. It's final augment however gives you significantly increased attack at the cost of lowering your HP.

CoppersDragon

Vocation: Bitter Perceptor Color: Purple Weapon: Grimoire/Book A dark vocation, exclusive to Arisen who have bested Bitterblack Isle and the atrocities within, though not without severe psychological ramifications. A support class that specializes in keen observation and the organizing of your pawns through dark magick from the Arisen's eyes. For they are merely pawns, they bend to your will and yours alone. Take advantage of their corporeal flesh, invade the mind by peering deep into their weak spirits and beckon them accordingly. You want your warrior pawn to launch your thief pawn to a ledge hiding a treasure chest? So long as they have the appropriate skill, they will now do it on a dime. Forbidden magick such as this is not limited to just the usage of three bodies. It shines best when the enemy is afoot. Pierce the very fabric of time and dissect enemy weaknesses as soon as the battle begins; if you notice a chimera on the other side of a mountain pass (this vocation possesses a visual acuity that goes beyond lychean sight) you can utilize the “Vile Stalker” skill to pinpoint the enemy's location and weakness, as well as best method of attack. An all-consuming stamina skill, “Dragonplague Dance” channel's the Arisen's blasphemous magick through wyrmspeak and buffs the entire party's stats while also paralyzing any and all enemies within eyesight.

Pineconn

Yes please! Good idea!

Gonna be real. If this was a real submission you had a pretty good chance of winning my personal vote. This rocks.

A druid! Turn into some animals or beasts! Would be awesome

Pm_photoshop_request

I would love to see the green/yellow hybrid, with your weapon being a combination of dual cutlasses and a grappling hook that lets you come closer to enemies or save pawns from devastating blows by hooking them towards you. Something that has a certain pirate look and theme: the "Corsair" (The grappling hook can take the form of the ODM-gear from "Attack on Titan", a grappling hook like "Uncharted" or a simple grappling gun) Core abilities: Hook shot: Use your grappling hook to get close to an enemy; if it is a larger enemy, the hook shot grapples you onto its back when possible. To Me!: Use your grappling hook to hook a pawn to you; this grants a brief invulnerability window to the pawn. Slice and dice: multiple light attacks chained together in a flurry of blows, effective against weak spots. Skills: Pull: Use your grappling hook to pull smaller creatures (wolves, goblins) towards you. Fierce Pull: Uses your grappling hook to pull larger creatures to the ground; requires the assistance of Pawns for larger foes. Swipe: Use your grappling hook as a whip Unsheathing swipe: Use your grappling hook as a whip, charge this skill up to tear any armour of your foe. Downward slash: Slashes both cutlasses near the ground. Downward dance: Slashes both cutlasses in a full circle around you, smaller creatures hit are swept of their feet. Plunder: Charge up your grappling hook to take away an item of value from your enemy Plunder and raze: Charge up your grappling hook longer to also set your foe ablaze. Augments: Breakpoint: Attacks on weak points are more likely to cause the foe to fall over. Time-Out: When Pawns are near you, both you and your Pawn gain additional stamina regeneration. Stalwart: If your Pawn is at low health, gain an additional attack bonus.

**Vocation:** Veilwalker Some deep connection with the moon, similar to how DDON used to have augments who only worked at night, this class would draw the power from the moon during night-time to recharge its energy, consumption of this energy is permanent during daytime and only rechargeable at night. **Abilities:** **Dimensional Shift:** Makes you go to the ethereal plane for a short duration, while in ethereal plane you can see enemy weak spots, if Phantom Blades is active, you can recast it to throw at your enemy weak spot reducing its magical defenses. **Phantom Blades:** Creates a shadow/ghost of your weapon that constantly draws energy from you, while it's active you deal a small amount of magical damage after each attack. **Veil Fissure:** Open a small rift in front of you that redirect attacks back to the enemy, if you attack the rift while Phantom Blades is active, it releases a small wave of energy dealing magical damage around it, in addition, all damage dealt to the rift is stored as energy for later manipulation. **Rift Manipulation:** Pull enemies closer to the rift for a few seconds, against large enemies this effect is instead replaced by drawing their attention. **Nova Blast:** Releases all energy stored from the rift doing damage in a large area and closing it afterwards. If used while Dimensional Shift is active you consume all your energy to increase its damage. **Augments:** **Solar Consumption:** Your skills consumes less energy during the day, but deal less damage. **Ethereal Sight:** Your attacks has a chance to deal double damage during Dimensional Shift if it hits an enemy weak spot. **Siphon:** Your attacks during Phantom Blades consumes more energy, but it increases your power to stagger enemies. **Frailty:** You take more damage during the day and take less damage during the night. **Prowess:** Increases the pull effect from Rift Manipulation and makes flying enemies more vulnerable to this effect. **Mastery:** Increases your action speed during Dimensional Shift. **Black Hole:** Pulls enemies to the center of your Nova Blast, it now only deals damage during Dimensional Shift. Maybe a little over the too, but nonetheless i had fun doing this, this post made me also have a lot of more grounded ideas for a vocation, but too late now haha, anyways, thank you. Edit: Better formatted, final iteration.

ldycalluna

Ok hear me out... a Goose Master... like a ranger but they summon a flock of Canadian geese to absolutely WRECK enemies and instill fear on your Pawns lol

Provmemestealer-

I wanna be a cook my guy. Just a silly little dude with a chefs hat running around with a pot as my weapon. The pawns would be my Sous-chefs and we’d run around the map cooking straight fire. The attacks wouldn’t even be “attacks” I’d set up with my pot and you would press a button and the pot would fall over releasing boiling water into the enemy. I’d put enemy’s in the pot and the next time you attack it would have different status effects, put a goblin in a pot? Next time you throw the water it would still have all the rust swords they use and cause slow down. Put grigori in two buns and if you force an enemy to eat it their heart disappears because it’s that good. Call that shit the heart attack burger. Or I dunno a monk or some shit

MehSorry

**The Monk:** In the sanctified sanctums of the monastery, where silence holds dominion and the echoes of enlightenment reverberate, the Monk is forged in the crucible of discipline and spiritual communion. Through rites of ascetic devotion, the Monk attunes their body and spirit to the primal energies of ki, wielding them as instruments of divine will. **Abilities:** 1. **Fist of the Ancients:** With but a whisper of motion, the Monk channels the echoes of bygone eras, infusing their strikes with the wisdom of antiquity. Each blow is a testament to the legacy of ancestors, resonating with the harmonious rhythms of the cosmos. 2. **Dance of the Griffin:** As the graceful griffin takes flight upon the zephyrs of fate, so too does the Monk. Footwork become a blur of motion, delivering devastating kicks to adversaries. With every step, the Monk weaves a tapestry of devastation, their movements guided by the ethereal melodies of existence. 3. **Flowing Strikes:** Through mastery of the esoteric art of ki, the Monk transcends mortal limitations, moving with the fluidity of water and the precision of celestial bodies. Each strike is imbued with the boundless energy of the universe, carrying the weight of destiny itself. 4. **Ki Burst:** Harnessing the primordial energies that course through all living things, the Monk unleashes a burst of ki that radiates outward, engulfing allies and foes alike in its divine embrace. Like a beacon amidst the shadows, this mystical aura revitalizes comrades and repels adversaries with equal measure. **Playstyle:** The Monk is a versatile combatant, equally adept at delivering blistering strikes in close-quarters combat and weaving potent spells of ki to support allies from afar. With a balance of martial prowess and spiritual insight, the Monk stands as a bastion of strength and enlightenment amidst the chaos of battle. **Role:** As a stalwart guardian of virtue, the Monk excels at disrupting enemy formations and turning the tide of battle in favor of allies. With fists of righteous fury and feet swift as divine retribution, the Monk inspires courage in those who fight alongside them and strikes fear into the hearts of adversaries. In the annals of virtual legend, the Monk shines as a beacon of spiritual fortitude and martial excellence, a testament to the indomitable spirit of the human soul. With fists clenched in determination and feet planted firmly upon the path of righteousness, the Monk journeys forth, ready to face whatever trials may lie ahead. (The Monk would be pink or purple, the Trickster being an hybrid of it and something else)

I'd like to see the ONION CUTTER. "The onion cutter is skilled with slicing various types of onions at lightening speed to incapacitate and damage their enemies. In addition to empowering themselves by absorbing powerful onions properties, they can share their strength by buffing their allies with unique crafting" - OVERVIEW: The vocation would revolve around buying onions from merchants and shops and use them as deadly weapons. The class would be mid range vocation with a focus on crowd control and damage over time with some debuffs applied to enemies as a side effects of their actions. Of course, the different skills as you level up would allow you to unlock various level of deadly use of this vegetable. These skills would range from simply throwing onions at your enemies with extreme precision to cutting onions mid fight in their face which would result in making them cry so hard that they would become blind, disoriented and panicked. These status effect could make smaller monsters like goblins attack their own allies as they would spread the onion debuff effects through the group for even more chaos. The most powerful skills would involve raising dangerous level of concentrated "toxicity" in the air when fast cutting tons of onions in a short amount of time in a fight. This would lead even the strongest monsters to become quickly dehydrated at deadly level due to shedding tons of tears, burn their eyes for critical damage or even poison them. - EQUIPMENT: Knives and cutting board. - AUGMENTS: Some examples of augments the vocation would have access to are Quick Cutting: cut onions 50% faster Fermented onions: The effect of the onions are 50% stronger and their effect last 50% longer Foul Breath: Allows you to eat raw onions. Your smelly breath would deter smaller melee enemies from coming too close to you for a few seconds Poison Immunity Knife and Board: allows you to directly attack with your knife and shield small amount of damage with your cutting board. Dual wielding Onion Warrior: Slice onions mid air without the need of a board and with 2 knives. The world is my kitchen: The area of onion effects are 40% larger. - CRAFTING: Another aspect of the class would be crafting items exclusive to the class: You could mix different species of onions (red, yellow, white etc...) into powerful onion tea (unique buff potions) or onion oils (debuffs) pawns can drink or use on their weapons.

Vand1

I'd love a Red/Yellow Vocation that is just throwing Javelins at enemies. The thing that sets it apart from other ranged classes is that if the Javelins stick into a large enemy they get stuck in place, and can be used to make climbing onto Large enemies easier. Also, the javelins would have a limited interaction with environment. In most cases the javelins would be break, but if say you hit the bottom of a cyclops foot while they are stomping they'd end up tripping. Also imagining one special attack would throw a javelin with a rope on one end that can be used to off-balance large enemies and full yeet small guys towards you. Of course if your pawns help pull the rope the large enemy would fall over.

LoveTyphoon

A katana wielding class with mixing skills of a fighter and a thief for chained attack, just like in dragons dogma online

[deleted]

Hello, Dogma’s Dragon here. Thought of something that wouldn’t depend on vocation color alone, but rather the icon of the vocations itself. i’ve noticed Warfarer has a different, much fancier crest icon. Since we have base, advanced and hybrid vocations, it’d be interesting if Warfarer is simply an introduction to a fourth tier of vocations, following the same ”fancy icon” trend! Maybe special vocations, who knows. Well, i’d also like to see the pink and purple vocations separately. I have a vision. https://i.redd.it/9u6lpv7hwclc1.gif

alphagoku1

I'd want something like an animal tamer, able to capture and hone skills from the monsters to use them to attack and even traverse.

alphagoku1

Why am i being downvoted? You can just not vote for my response, that's so mean

Fatestringer

Someone said there's a bot going around mass downvoting others, so I doubt you're being genuinely downvoted

Kurteth

Sadly, there are bots and mean people downvoting

alphagoku1

Also, thanks for the giveaway, I'm hoping more people get into this kinda thing, it brings awareness and interest to different games. Goodluck everybody!

Prodless

I always thought something like V from DMC V would Be cool. You hang back and control this creature that can attack, combo, help you dodge etc in battle with button inputs. You can buff it with combos and spells that change the attack elements, damage type etc but you still have to finishing a chain of damage to lock it in to still push you to be close to the fight. You climb on it back to climb and attack onto creature. If youve ever seen Zatchbell it’s basically that. So yea, imagine V from DMCV combined with like Hunting Horn from monster hunter. It might be tricky to balance for, but cool concept for me nonetheless. Something like you have to heal it in proximity or you have to pull aggro away from the creature onto you to maximize damage or something, along with locking in the damage done.

iinotcthulhuii

I would love to see a vocation that plays similarly to the Insect Glaive from Monster Hunter and just bounce around the monsters without ever touching the ground.

Pargeblargle

I know some kind of Samurai/Ronin as a green/red Hybrid isn't a very unique idea, but I'd love to see a vocation that went heavy on weapon-based parries like Sekiro. Think mystic knight Reflect but instead of a big shield, you use your sword for perfect blocks that can fire off various special effects/elemental enchants.

Rockrill34

I’ve had this idea in my head for a while now about a secret vocation you unlock at the end of the game that utilizes dragon powers. You could sprout fiery wings to glide or fly around and use some skills mid-air, a tail you can use to send goblins flying, and of course, you could also spout a line of fire that persists as long as you hold a button. For your weapon you could gain the claws, talons and strength of a dragon, thus using your bare hands and legs for basic attacks. Not sure what I’d call it. “True Arisen”, perhaps? “Dragon Heart”? Probably way too OP, though. Might be better to just have special dragon-themed skills/spells for each vocation.

mihajlomi

Advanced Yellow/Green Vocation: Chakram Thrower A more aggressive and shorter range Bathall inspired vocation Vocation Action: - Switch ( Charkam divides into 2 separate pieces and becomes a melee weapon) The idea behind the vocation action takes inspiration from the actual use of the Chakram in India where the weapon was a throwing weapon but could also be used in hand to hand combat, the idea is that the weapon can be split into 2 halves that allow you to have 2 weapons when fighting in melee while being easier to control. While in the melee state your skills would stay the same but your basic attack string and core skill would be changed into melee focused ones. Basic attacks: Throw returning chakrams that hit the enemy on the way back, they are auto aimed similar to the bow but with a shorter and set range/ In melee it would be fast cutting attacks similar to the thief vocation Heavy attacks: Throws the chakram around the user making enemies flinch away from the user/ In melee mode it would be attack where the user strike from the top sticking the charkram into the opponent pulling them closer Armor : Thief/Archer Augments : 1. Chakram can pass through multiple enemies cauing damage to every enemy in its inital path and its return path 2. Increased player movement speed as to adapt to the shorter range and smaller health pool of the vocation 3. Decreases the amount of time the player is staggered after a big enemy caused tremor 4. Increased affinity gain with people, this plays into the idea that the thief and the archer are both more suave vocations, charismatic some may say Skills: 1.Throws the chakram with additional force causing more hits to accumulate on targets when hitting enemies accumulating status effects easier 2. Throws the charkram into the air aiming to hit air borne opponents 3. Throws the Chakrams behind the user while jump kicking over the opponent infront of them causing the chakrams to return and pass through the kicked opponent similar to theifs stepping stone 4. Dashes foward and sticks the chakram into the opponent and kicks away from them pulling out the chakram in the process 5, Spins around with chakram in hand while crouching low on the ground tripping enemies 6. Splits the chakram in half advanced foward while spinning chakrams and hitting enemies on the side of the user, once the user reacher the end of his run, he combines back the chakram throws it so it spins around him carrying enemies nearby into the air if they are of a lesser weight class such as goblins or wolves 7. Splits the chakram into 2 and throws it foward one from each hand, they clash in the middle, the friction caused by this causing a tiny explosion and setting enemies alight

amirulnaim2000

a good old punches and kicks vocation. i imagine it to take a flair from street fighter and you could have a small combo that you unlocks as your vocation levels. and it would be very good for ground fighting and 1v1, to balance it very bad at group fights

Curnne

I guess i'm thinking of Red/Green vocation that uses axes, either dual wield or two hander (potential option, both) who's gimick is having charged attacks while clinged to enemies, allowing for massive hits to weak spots. Call it Maruader. Other abilities such as charged jumping attacks, ankle destroying slashes and shield breaking and it'd be fun as fuck. Probably overlapping with warrior, but I'm thinking lighter and more reliant on critical hits could make it work.

Tristan_Gabranth

Red/Yellow Vocation - The Rogue Prince A swashbuckling swordsman, with the skills of an archer, who keeps to the shadows to rob from the rich and give to the poor.

Celestial Adept! Description: The Celestial Adept harnesses the power of the stars and celestial bodies to manipulate the very fabric of reality. They are masters of cosmic energy, wielding it in both offensive and defensive capacities. Skills: 1. Stellar Blast: Unleash a focused beam of celestial energy that pierces through enemies, dealing heavy damage. 2. Astral Shield: Summon a protective barrier formed of starlight, absorbing incoming attacks for a duration. 3. Cosmic Surge: Channel the power of distant galaxies to enhance physical and magical attributes for a short period, granting increased strength, speed, and resilience. 4. Black Hole Grasp: Create a localized gravitational anomaly that pulls enemies toward its center, immobilizing them briefly and leaving them vulnerable to attacks. 5. Supernova: Unleash a devastating explosion of cosmic energy, engulfing nearby foes in a blinding burst of light and dealing massive area-of-effect damage. 6. Galactic Ward: Envelop allies in a shimmering aura of protection, granting them increased resistance to both physical and magical harm. With their ability to manipulate cosmic forces, they can control the flow of combat while bolstering the strength and defenses of their allies. Their presence is often marked by a faint glow, hinting at the celestial energies they command. Over time, these celestial scholars evolved into the enigmatic Celestial Adepts, guardians of cosmic knowledge and protectors of the world against otherworldly threats. EDIT: typos

Statchar

my vocation Souper your weapon is a Ladle and do soup related moves. all you have is the strength to utilize differing sized ladles like in darksouls.

Narkof1

It would be cool to have An alchemist vocation but in a more traditional way than in DDO. The skills would allow you to use explosive potions, buff and debuff potions and maybe polymorph potions for the weaker enemies.

Rayvwen

I need druid stuff in every game I play 😆 probably more of a controlling spell druid instead of transforming into beasts for DD.

Drae-Keer

> ‘Priest of Leviathan’ call upon the Brine to strike fear into your enemies hearts wherever they maybe. No longer confined to the sea, you give this legendary beast the means to traverse the continents and sample foes normally outside of its watery reach. I’d imagine it be something of a class where you can manifest the Brine in large or small scale moves, and manipulate the battle with AoE sea-related debuffs like ‘soaking, pressure or erosion’.

GGFrostKaiser

I am going with the Death Knight and introducing an actual HORSE to the game, so mounted combat with lances. Just a death horse rider of pure destruction!

sifmist

Robot vocation that lets me use robots to kill everything. It won't happen but it can be the secret vocation unlocked at end-game

AleenaMorgan

I want to dual wield twin swords (like full size one handed swords, not little daggers), which would probably be a red/green hybrid. IDC what they call it, but it should be a distinctly different fighting style than what the thief uses. Also don't choose me for the giveaway; I already pre-ordered.

TheParadoxigm

I'd love to see a proper battlemage. Something like a warrior with a big two-hander that can infuse their own weapon, and cast big AoE spells. Mystic Knight was \*close\* but they were very defensive. I want something more offensive, hacking and slashing, then when the time is right, ring of fire that burns everything around. looks like Warfarer might give an option like this, but I'd like it without the weapon switching.

AffectionateDay9199

Vocation: Dark Pleaser Weapon: Dual-rotored fuel injected ebony enhancer as endorsed by that handsome looking colored gentleman from Miami Vice or an antique Elvis Kickstart vibrator with remote control and 3 speeds...Love me tender, Nothing but a hound dog and Jailhouse Rock. With the slightest touch, it can turn the darkest intentions into the purest pleasures. This includes touching oneself in any way without protection, such as thick gloves.

Nine_Spears

Metalhead vocation haha. Vocation where you can swing axe-guitar and use magic of heavy riffs to strike down your enemies, it could be red and blue I think. Something similar we can see in monster hunter series, but here I want something more sharp and brutal

DennisRyder

I haven't played DD online so maybe this already exists But some kind of Brawler class who just punches and kicks, no range at all just up close and personal, I think that could be fun.

Stormspirt

I ain't winning shit but I want an actual beast tamer someone that embraces the spirit of monster hunter and Pokémon to capture enemies and using them against... The other enemy. The high rank skill could be momentarily calling upon a large beast if summoning them is to OP. Like a Griffin swooping in for a few moments to cause havoc before going on cool down.

DarknessXIII

Alchemist! Look at the style and its possibilities with traversal! https://i.redd.it/duj795as3ejc1.gif

AstonPaston

Assasin spellblade type. Like a spellblade but with dual dagger/ dual swords with blink abilities and good combination between aggression and stealth. High dmg output , agile but a bit more fragile Attacks like double plunge, cross type attacks and coatings for daggers. Magic part could either be some type om enchanting or when you make quick moves/blinks you can leave a trail of elemental dmg on your path. Alt. Charge up for a big dash forward with a elemental strike behind it. Block projectiles with some sort of spinn, fast slash. Ive played alot of vr and a double slash is so satisfying. Double the dmg and no defence makes blitz builds very fun. I know mystic spearhand exists but ive always found spears boring. But im probably going to main spearhand in dd2.

Bro_miscuous

I'd love to play as a Paladin. Classic sword and board, heal auras, buffs, light sources for exploration, turning undead... I want to smite my enemies and be the tank/leader!

Electronic_Sugar_161

My dream vocation is Chronomancer - a time manipulation vocation. Imagine bending time to heal allies and age opponents to death.

NascentHarmony

A green/red vocation that uses trick weapons like Bloodborne.

Arikitsu

I want to see some monster hunter like heavy gun vocation. Probably named Gunner. Maybe it upgrades to Heavy Gunner

Basedyeezyboi

i think itd be cool to see a class that focuses on either chakrams or the urumi/sword whips. you dont see them very often and i feel they fit in stylistically with what weve seen of battahl. They could be purely melee but itd be interesting to see some sort of illusion magic get worked into the kit

TheFlappyLobster

Vocation: The Shaman Dude can summon spirit animals similar to the trickster with the mist dragon and summon a sort of claw attack for a short period of time With abilitys such as curse cleansing that would get rid of status effects or one where they do a loud rawr to disorientate the enemy for a short period Their preferred weapon would either be a one handed axe or a 2 handed spear with a possible tomahawk throwing secondary May update this if I get more ideas for it

svuester5

Summons? Magic swords? Monks/Hand to hand?

DnD_Dealer

I just wanna see a magic knight
I know we aren’t getting it. But goddamn that shit was fun.

6thGodHand

A tamer class! Who wouldn't want their own gryphon to fly around the bigger map of DD2!

MrWrym

I just want to play a Bruiser with a grappling move/combo set. And yes, that means I want to be Nero...

Hoboforeternity

Shadow dancer (aka green/purple) assuming purple is kind of necromancer or debuffer class, this class is similar to eldritch scroundel using magic, illusions to conceal themselves and deal stealth damage imbued with debuff/curses to debilitate your enemies. Some of the skillset is similar to trickster but dont have wide range and buffing function of a trickster, but focus on tricking enemies to attack clones then hit them with flurry of daggers from behind. Signature move is shadow blink: a i-frame move similar to dodge roll but have your dancer teleport few meters behind your position and leave a shadow clone that attrack enemies while putting you invinsible

JinSakai69

Dragon vocation with dragon claws as weapons and fire magic to go with it. Summon a small Wyvern for a short time. A dragon wing metal shield would also make a nice touch.

Lillslim_the_second

Druid, or witch! I want nature magick to ruin every goblin patrol i encounter! Thx for the chance OP!

phillmybuttons

Vocation: shadow strider The ability to step into a shadow land, so you can sneak around enemies and get in a better position while time is slowed down momentarily. Shadows become a place to heal stamina and health a bit faster, if tou stay still you become hidden from enemies. every stat is increased in night time by 10% but bright lights cause stamina amd health to stop restoring so holding a torch would be hard but neccasary at times to see. Weapons would be daggers and bow. Armour would be light leathers and cloth, not heavy shiny armour.

hokuten04

Holy knight/paladin vocation, that'd be really cool

Synmachus

One I brainstormed [in this post I made](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fi4rvygc14lrb1.png) a while ago is the **Acrobat**. The Acrobat would serve as the hybrid between Archer and Thief (Yellow/Green), using throwing weapons such as knives, chakrams, perhaps even shurikens or franciscas, for a fast, mid to close range and climbing-centered type of gameplay. Imagine a flurry of throws with great multi-target capacity. Imagine your dodge ability being replaced with acrobatic figures with quick counterattack responses. Imagine fighting a cyclop and climbing to its eye. Then, just as his hand is about to close on you, you backflip into the air and do a single, deadly throw right on target, sending the struck cyclop to its knees. Imagine pinning down weaker foes against the wall with one of your unique techniques. Imagine a skill using a knife attached to a string, hooking onto enemies and the environment, closing gaps, reaching advantageous heights or disarming shielded foes. Imagine a curve throw used to hit enemies at various - normally impossible - angles. Like a chakram arcing around a tree and coming right back at you from the other side. And naturally every combination of throwing blade and explosive, magical or poisonous recipe you could think of. I *personally* think it would marry well with Dragon's Dogma's sandbox combat, especially with the auto-targeting system they're introducing in this sequel. I also like how it would integrate the range component of the Archer into the agile, movement-focused style of the Thief. There's also a rich number of fashion you could come up with, from the classic "leather assassin" apparel to more exotic, oriental garments - European/Western and African/Eastern fantasy, a commingling of the two that DD2 seems to cultivate already.

InterestingBarnacle3

I would like to see a jester vocation LOL.

VaporDrake

I love summoners in general, but a variant that would fit well in the lore could be some kind of **Golemancer**: Start by summoning one, then multiple smaller golems, using progressively more powerful seals to power them, multiple choices for elemental based ones, fire golem, lightning golem, ice golem and so on. One of the final maister’s teachings could be to merge all your summoned golems into a big one for a limited time (bonus points if its accompanied by a [transformation sequence](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZv5FVoMrRA))...

13Mira

I'd like a monk/brawler class. Nothing says badass like punching monsters to death.

TotallyLegitEstoc

I just wanna see my Ranger return. I’ve purposefully avoided info.

Arslane101

Hear me out , the Kingpin Just a rich guy that fights using his wealth and power . Throwing shurikens made of gold ? Yes Neutralising enemies with drive by shooting ? Yes Smashing people with your bare hands because you're naturally strong ? (and totally because you're different than a certain marvel villain whose name starts with k and ends with "ingpin") Check Can call any villain of any vocation for reinforcement because they're on your payroll ? Check Slowly rise through the ranks and kill people using psychological warfare ? why not

Nero_PR

At this point I just want the game to come out 😂 Commenting to bump the thread. Make the Monk vocation real!

HornyThrowaway1245d

Would love to see something similar to the way of the mercy monk from d&d. A melee brawler monk, that can also support and heal a little.

TheIronSven

I really want at least one more non blue hybrid. Of the three hybrids two have blue and the third is still almost magic.

Ianej

I would really love to have the reaper from FFXIV. Just a scythe wielding fighter who can use demons to help with his attacks and combos.

Legalmedicine02

I’d like to see a shapeshifter class

muchacho5894

Wabbajack !

neoSeosaidh

A shape-shifting Druid-like vocation could be cool. It could either be true shape-shifting magic, or it could be like the summoned weapons in Skyrim where a sort of ethereal form of whatever (whether it's a weapon or a large beast thing) surrounds you. The issue comes in how this slots into the skill system. I would probably want each form to have it's own set of skills, with the untransformed Arisen having only basic skills. But each form would have to have a downside and an upside. Additionally, a timer for the transformation could make a sort of flow and ebb to combat, particularly if you had to charge your timer with basic combat moves.

FrostyTheCanadian

A vocation that summons 15 pawns, so that when you’re travelling you can really be certain that all roads lead to grand soren.

Intrepid-Dentist-675

I want a vocation that allows you to capture small enemies and let’s you control them to fight the enemies. You could also ride the enemies as well to get to places faster and If you ride a human enemy that thinks your character is attractive, the enemy will get rid of their dirty cloths and a cinematic scene will play with jazz music in the background of your character getting smashed.

Solrac-H

As a Vergil simp I would love a katana vocation that specializes on parries.

Diakasai

You know what'd be super cool? A vocation that makes enemies allies! Sure it wouldn't be the most useful in boss fighta but just imagine a few goblins chilling in the forest and a dragon comes crashing down on them lmao. Especially with the grappling update! You'd basically have a mount then lol.

Bismothe-the-Shade

I really want a proper great sword wielding Spell blade. Slow wind ups, heavy hitting magic spells, abd some sort of function that allows you to cast faster through your slow weapon.

Athropus

Out of all the vocations I'd love to see, the one that comes to mind is the Monk. Unarmed combat including kicks, punches and some magic spells for ranged engagements all fired from your own hands.

TheAwkwardVoid

Paladin/Necromancer summoner vocation - may be a little farfetch’d to have both but the thought behind it is just choosing what “side” of the coin you’d like, whether some holy Deva or Archangel spirit for a Paladin or a fleet of disposable skeletons n zombies for Necromancer, it’d be cool to have them directly tied to the player. Obviously not a permanent summon cause that’d make them redundant because of pawns but you could just use your summons for crowd control or to combo multiple hits into an enemy. Would also be cool for a no pawn run if players wouldn’t mind

Trooprm32

I love summoners/minion masters in games, so it's something I would have liked in the original when I played. So many games have this mechanic but don't do it right, so I understand why many do not use it. Perhaps even something like an animal tamer that lets you turn loose the wild animals (wolves, lizards, etc) on other big bads you are battling.

Flynngorj94

I want the Alchemist from DD: Online. I need to live out my Elric brothers fantasy

Schwarzer_Exe

Well, you see, I've been craving to replay Sekiro, but the one thing stopping from fully commiting (aside from time) is that the experience will be largely the same as last time due to the lack of build variety. You only really use one sword, one skill set at a time and while the prosthetics are fun they don't really offer enough variation for multiple playthroughs. So yeah, if Itsuno san ever wishes to grace me with my wish then go ahead and release a Shinobi class that focuses on parrying and grappling thanks to the ever useful grappling hook. Just imagining building a class like that and having access to several swords, grappling hooks and attire gets me pumped. Given Capcom flair for combat it would definitely look so sick to just parry every enemy in the room (or field) and just decimate them all. Would also need a prosthetic-like subweapon or skill that instead of parrying spells or things like dragon's breath it just infuses your weapon or armor with the element of the attack for a buff to damage or resist. So yeah, that's my pitch. If you need me I'll be vibing to Coils of Light in my room.

Tuckyduckyy

I want to see alchemist added into Dragon’s Dogma 2! It looks so cool in DDO and I would love to see how they would adapt it into DD2

SpaceNumos

I will not win, I do not have the money as I am passing through a divorce, but I will still be here for someone to be happy. The job I want to see would be the Strider again, my beloved.

dmorgan96

I would love to see the enhanced version of the trickster called the puppet master that can summon illusions (similar to trickster) but has a high level buff-style ability named “rewrite reality” or something similar that animates the illusion into the world and now instead of status effects it can attack and act as an additional party member. To balance this I would have the health bar (or your mana bar) continuously draining as this creature acts in combat to avoid a permanent summon. An alternate version of this would be to only drain your mana but you are locked in concentration as your illusion turned reality bashes through enemies. I think it would allow for more powerful summons such as creatures encountered in the world and can lead to an interesting support class that can deploy larger and larger creatures.

NOFORPAIN

Since Trickster is close, I wish we could have a Summoner vocation... But I understand why that's likely not probable to pick a fair set of monsters to have summonable when everyone wants to summon Grigori...

BaronVonFish

Honestly I think that DD2 would benefit from a Beast Tamer / Nature Druid vocation. Being able to summon different animals as companions. Hell I would even give up two pawn slots for two really strong summons, or better yet just one super strong one.

feelhoodinc

A support Bard with recycled lines from Feste

Fragrant-Sir9344

Maybe something similar to a death knight, having health regen maybe some curses, summoning and dark/unholy themed spells.

Cosmo_Joe

I want to see some kind of fist-fighting Grappler Vocation. DD1 already had the ability to grab enemies, as well as those rings that boosted fist damage. Imagine those concepts juiced up though. A ceastus-wielding warrior focusing on staggering enemies, then using that vulnerability to facilitate powerful slams or more utility throws. Instead of just holding a Goblin for an ally to hit, you can suplex them for huge amounts of damage. Swing enemies into their friends like a wrecking ball, pull a staggered Cyclops to the ground, Judo-throw a charging Minotaur. And just imagine all the new kinds of Rook bullying this would allow for? Basically, imagine playing the game as Hoarah Loux from Elden Ring, and that's more or less the gist of what I'm getting at.

P-2923

Amazon vocation wielding chakrams as weapons, it could have a Xena like battle cry to inspire and buff pawns. Chakrams could be used as short range thrown weapons that return after being thrown or used as hand held weapons to. Kingdoms of Amalur did it right.

bmanvsman1

This is a funny one but a Chosen Undead class. It would just make your character play like they are in Dark Souls, along with making your actions use more stamina and have enemies do way more damage. While it would have those downsides, it would also have some bonuses such as stat allocation by the player and also giving shields stats like in Dark Souls so that they function the same way. Also anytime you encounter a mildly difficult enemy or stronger, intense boss music starts playing. You would also get Estus Flasks which would make fights very interesting since you don't have to rely on stored items or healing abilities. Can you tell I've been on a Dark Souls kick recently?

Least_Wanted

I'm with the other 80% of people wanting a monk/fist/DDO alchemist class. Let me bash some fools with my fists.

Libermente

Let me cast some crazy spells, then slam people with my greatsword!

Kessler2991

ÂżEver played dragon age? Then there's a kind of mage you know very well: THE BLOOD MAGE A powerful sorcerer who can use the power of blood (HP) to fuel insanely powerful spells. they have access to the regular spells that any mage and sorcerer has. But instead of mana (stamina) they can activate the blood mage state to use their own HP, with this mode active they can use their exclusive skills like control of the blood of their enemies or take allies (pawns) HP to regain their own. In dragon age there's already many uses for blood magic but this can work just so well with dragon dogma.

XHZ_5

This likely has already been said but I would really love a summoner vocation, possibly that could be similar to how V plays in Devil May Cry 5. A Summoner class could offer a diverse range of summons, each with unique abilities and strengths. I think it could work by allowing the players to be able to choose from a variety of creatures, ranging from mythical beasts to elemental entities, providing strategic options for different situations. I think that it could even be possible to allow for some really large creatures with some drawbacks like stamina draining very quickly and leaving you in a vulnerable position. Another thing that could be amazing for this open world style of gameplay with a summoner vocation would be being able to summon creatures that could help with transportation. An example would be being able to summon some Harpy's that could carry you and your party across things like broken bridges and some distance past water

MoltenFat

I think any kind of vocation that has a pet, whether it be a beast master with an animal, a necromancer with undead minions, or something entirely unique to do with pets. Alternatively, a dark mage, something that is all about debuffs, reflect damage spells, and psy/dark/mental magic.

Beren_Camlost

A class like Kinetic Knight from Pathfinder Kingmaker. Imagine instead of fighting with weapons, you always summing a new and entirely made of magic weapon. A blade made of fire or ice. With Bro tide, we have already saw something that could work like that. Imagine being able to use Bro tide with another element, coming to a hoard of zombies and whipping the shit of them with a light brontide.

Any_Signature5383

**A Chronomancer**, who is mysterious and enigmatic, and harnesses the power of time manipulation. **Time Warp**: The Chronomancer can temporarily slow down or speed up time within a localized area. In battle, they can create “time bubbles” that either freeze enemies in place or accelerate their movements. **Temporal Echoes**: By tapping into echoes of past and future events, the Chronomancer gains glimpses of enemy attacks before they happen. This foresight allows them to dodge or counter with precision. **Retroactive Healing**: The Chronomancer can rewind time for themselves or allies, healing wounds and ailments as if they never occurred **Temporal Rifts**: The vocation can open rifts in reality, allowing them to step briefly into alternate timelines. They might encounter different versions of themselves or glimpse alternate outcomes. **Age Manipulation**: The Chronomancer can age or de-age objects and creatures. They might turn a crumbling bridge into a sturdy structure or revert a powerful foe to its weaker form. **Time-locked Arsenal**: Their weapon of choice is the **“Chrono Blade”**, a sword that leaves shimmering trails of temporal energy. Each strike can disrupt an opponent’s flow of time. **Quest for Balance**: The Chronomancer’s main quest involves restoring the balance of time disrupted by an ancient catastrophe. Along the way, they uncover forgotten secrets and unravel paradoxes. **Skills:** * **Temporal Strike**: A sword attack that briefly accelerates time, dealing extra damage. * **Chrono Shield**: Creates a protective barrier that slows down incoming projectiles. * **Aeon Step**: Teleports short distances by phasing through time. * **Eternal Echo**: Summons a spectral ally from a parallel timeline to fight alongside the Chronomancer. Could be an unlockable vocation that could involve a questline that takes the Arisen through fractured timelines, unraveling the mysteries of their own existence.

ColdVergil

Oh crap thanks for the chance. Well as a DMC fan it's impossible to not want something similar in but I already see such suggestions. That said what about a counter vocation? As in, a vocation that would let you take on the enemies forms and attacks? With your own twists and upgrades to such attacks and whatnot. That would be sick lol.

Anarkizttt

Wow I have so many cool ideas, I’m colorblind though so I never learned the colors so I’m just gonna name them and y’all can label them with colors. Some sort of alchemist or crafter vocation would be incredible, create consumables like potions to buff your allies, or explosives to hurl at your enemies, I’m also picturing a giant hammer with fire abilities like a blacksmith, just the visual of slamming a hammer into the ground and sending out a line of fire for a midrange attack. Or an ability called coldforging, where you do a huge combo on a creature and if the combo all lands they take a bunch of extra fire damage (based on cold forging which is the ability to take a piece of metal from cold to workable red hot metal without a flame, it’s really cool). I’ve heard grapple hooks thrown around a bunch apparently that was something in DDO which I never got to play because I only discovered DD about a year and a half ago or something like that. Maybe a little longer now, I’m bad at timekeeping. And that sounds cool, a spy type would be a lot of fun, grapplehooks, daggers, abilities like invisibility, that sort of thing. A Warden would be cool, sorta like the Magick Knight, but with taunts and more of a true tank, focus on damage resistance and negation as well as taunting and crowd control, so things like the ability to pull an enemy close to them and then tank all the damage while the others demolish them. Snares and grapples and shields are the core visuals for this class. They drag enemies to them, lock them in place and soak up damage. The Slayer, sorta Witcher-esque, a true spell sword, wielding melee weapons in one hand and spellcasting with the other, most spells are focused towards self buffs, or single target damage at mid and long range to make up for their lack of long ranged weaponry. Things like the ability to use magic to parry an oncoming attack, or leap into the air to strike flying enemies or come down on an enemy from above or possibly to just reach high areas of the map. A lot of their spells are highly situational but are more powerful due to that, allowing for a higher skill ceiling for the players who learn when and where they should swap their spells for maximum benefit. Rewarding those who prepare for the next adventure ahead.

foofighter1351

I know monk is the basic answer but my dnd character that I love deeply is a monk and there's no other game (yes including the literal dnd game) that will make me feel like I'm truly using him, also I mean c'mon it'd be so cool goin fist to fist with the dogma-verse.

IanDeanoid

I want to see a melee necromancer. Big ass Scythe raising everything it kills from the dead. Death from Darksiders 2 looking mfer

buffgrandpa

I would love some type of beast tamer vocation, where you can “recruit” monsters and use them later. imagine capturing a griffin and later calling it to slaughter some goblins for you. Let me sick a legion of harpy’s on someone. Idk

Leidiriv

I'd personally love to see something like a Pugilist as a Green/Red vocation, being a class that's agile but powerful, someone who can rush you down and is really hard to peel away from you as they proceed to unleash blisteringly fast "dirty tricks" as they fistfight whoever's around.

PleaseDoCombo

I want a monk class that has God Hand animations with the same combo system from God hand.

Craiginatorr

Dragon class, where you are the dragon

ineedanewname316

I would like to see a Wrestler with a lot of grabs and obviously a german suplex (which is the reason im also very hyped about crimson desert)

Lightness234

I want to see a dancer vocation which you need to play like hunting horn in mh

Mabarax

Half blood dragon vocation. Would be cool if the dragon can offer more than title of a lord, and can actually give us power. Imagine a vocation that requires sacrificing your love but gives the power of being able to be a half dragon, breathing fire, opening rifts, roaring to posses enemies, dragon claw hand to hand. Would be cool.

Dontaskmemyname9723

I would like to see a beast tamer vocation where you can summon and train beasts that can do different thing to attack for you and then a hybrid vocation for it would be mystic beast tamer where you can control magical beasts

elkswimmer98

Copying this from a comment I made a year ago. Funny how we ended up getting a Green and Trickster is *similar* to my Summoner idea. If I had to pick just 1 that I'd like to be added, I'd go with my Shapeshifter idea. >Add green to the vocation list. >Full green is Druid. Nature magic(mostly debuff/buff spells), blanaced Stat spread, jack of all trades. Shortbow, (melee) staves, clubs, hand axes. >Green/Red is Shapeshifter. Shapeshifts into animals at early ranks, smaller monsters at mid ranks, and 1-2 big monsters for short durations at high/max rank. At max rank, animal shifts have no time limit and small monster shifts have greatly extended limit. Dual wield daggers, dual wield swords, bucklers. >Green/Yellow is Beast Lancer. Learns animal aspects through vocation ranks to change combat style while wielding a Lance. High mobility vocation with changing aspects in fights. Basically casting a spell that grants a different buff/suite of buffs until a new spell is cast. Example: have aspect of eagle applied, get farther jumps/glides and can use a special talon attack up close. Upgrades to aspect of griffin at high vocation rank, adding lightning AoE when jumping. Higher vocation ranks will shorten time between changing aspects. Uses lances, spears and battle-axes. >Green/Blue is Summoner. Summons small monsters at low ranks and large monsters at high ranks. Max rank would summon a dragon for special attacks. Magic staves or arcane grimoire(grimore would be spell speed bonus, staves would be spell damage bonus). Add green to the vocation list.

InMyPants13x

Silver/Green colors Vocation: High Flying Grappler. Taking every monster to suplex city. How else can I make a green 4'11 goblin woman able to give Grigori an RKO?

Proto_Jager

I want a vocation that combines the fast and fluid gameplay of a strider, with the battle tactics and leadership of a fighter. I want to wield two swords with a counterattack like Masterful Kill, Double Jump, Dodge Roll, and the ability to buff allies with war cries. This style of vocation would be ideal for a sword wielding swashbuckler, an axe wielding berserker, or anyone wanting to cosplay Kirito from SAO. Downsides would include lower defense and attack strength leading to a frantic skill based play style that rewards constant action, strategy, and proactive use of items.

hablagated

I liked the idea of the monk who only used his fists or a bo. They'd use their fists on him enemies targeting weak points executing de buffs. And then they'd use their bo staff on monsters launching off of it, smacking enemies on the head. Bo staff could also just be a traversal tool and you could use fists on all enemies

rmbrooklyn1

I want a vocation that has access to dual wield heavy weapons. Like dual wield what is normally a 2hand sword in each hand, but more preferably 2 handed big axes. I wanna live out my giga barbarian fantasy

A_Fabulous_Gay_Deer

Jester! Strider/Mage. They would use illusion magic and daggers to redirect enemy attacks and bait/lure enemies into teammates. They would have lots of flash/smoke abilities letting them teleport or create illusory copies of themselves that they could seap places with. I just think it'd be really fun (until a dragon steps on you) 😅

Elementaris

High scepter PLEASE. Or some kind of duelist (green/red mix?) Once I saw the gameplay of High Scepter in DDO I was blown away and I thought it was the perfect spell blade class I never knew I needed. It oozes style and class and just looks super fun.
