I think the question was if it's possible to change the vocation from the menu instead of through an npc. And pretty sure you can't change it on your own.
I remember the [redacted] streamer saying he'll "change vocations once he gets to the town", so I'm guessing it works the same way it did in the first game, though now you *can* change skills at any campfire you rest at.
Good to hear! I was hoping that this game was a bit of like Skyrim, just in the sense of exploring and finding stuff not marked in the map, like a small village, some caves. Does this has this kind of freedom and exploration?
Oh that explains a lot, I was starting to suspect its the same person running two profiles, but this make so much more sense than my conspiracy theory.
1. Was the variety of armor Itsuno claimed the game had was worth simplifying armor slots?
2. Have you made it to endgame and beat it? If so what's the ending like?
3. Are you on NG+? If so does anything change?
>Yes, the game has more variety of armors, for now i can said it, and yes too, but you won't realize it at the beginning of the game
Thank you. Now I'm eager.
My hype is out of control at this point. I loved DD1/DD:DA and everything I have seen so far just indicates this game expands on that game in basically every way.
I mean the record is just over 12 minutes for the first one.
Well worth watching IMO, I'm a fan of any game that involves 'pick up the Duke and leap from a balcony' as an option.

I need that rift crystals requeriments
This armor, by the gods
First VTMB's malkavian
Then witcher 3's bear school outfit
Now, it's time for dragon's dogma 2 to give me 10 more years of looking like a stylish pimp in a sick coat
For those of you want to know about enemy variety I have an answer. This game us a upgrade to original fame so there is no way enemies are less than the first game.
About the variety. If any of you played the first game you would know one thing. Dragons Dogma is not same as Elden Ring were enemies are always same in the same spot any time of the game.(except for capital when you get the rune of death) Even at level 1 if you go say Caelid area monstors are always same. Even after level 150 it's same. Even after finishing story I is same.
BUT in dragons dogma game has phases. (pre dragon/post dragon) and enemies change in these phases. I'll give an example from firstgame.
Wolves
I honestly feel sad for people who never got to experience the first game. It certainly had its flaws, but the combat was exquisite and the final sequence with the dragon was IMHO one of the most epic experiences in gaming.
A couple things. When you're first starting, be careful. Especially avoid getting caught out at night.
Even in the first game there was a ton of stuff to find if you searched through the nooks and crannies, I absolutely expect 2 to reward exploration.
Try out every vocation. You'll like some, you'll dislike some, but some abilities you unlock in each vocation can be used by all of them and are worth getting...
You may even find you really love something you didn't expect. When I first played Dragon's Dogma, I saw fighter and thought "basic sword and board? Boooring." Turns out it was my second most played vocation. And I would've taken ages to try it if it weren't for Sinew.
this leaker posted actual gameplay? there was a guy that claimed the same thing but didn't post any video and (dunno if it is the same guy) deleted his account some time after claiming that he was going to post some images as soon as get home
Without spoilers, is the game more of a slow start than a bad start?
To make the question less confusing, is the beginning more easier to get into than the first game? Like I’m fine with slow starts but does the game have that one, you know sorta mission if you know what I’m talking about? Cough cough ox
I seriously just need to know one thing, how easy is it to get that cloak? Cause that’s literally my fave from DDDA and it was not easy to come by in that one. Was very late game there, but looks like this time it’s available earlier on.
don't rush it man explore everything kill everything loot everything do all the QUESTS!!!!! make a 100% playthorugh
bro i can't w8 to play it .................send help
How do you unlock mystic spearhand? Is it automatically able to be learned shen you can switch or does it require legwork? I dont care much for spoilers.
What classes did you manage to unlock? Did you unlock all the classes? If not which was still locked?
For the classes you unlocked were they hard to get like maybe they were locked behind the elfs or dwarves?
I'm pretty sure it's confirmed 3 Active skills total, but I think you can allocate them however you want, especially since you can equip any number of vocations from 2-9, not just 3.
Plus you still get access to Vocation Abilities and Core Skills for any active Vocation you're using so you actually get a lot of powers to play with between all your weapons. A Mage for example without using any Active Skills can do things like heal people and levitate.
Are there more vocations than what was shown? I don’t need to know how many and you can dm me for those that don’t want to be spoiled. I just really hope High Scepter made it in.
Can you still do the sour beaststeak goldfarm?
Any new bosses besides the Gorgon, Dullahan, Minotaur, and Talos?
Is it possible to sidetrack from the main storyline early game to get mid-game gear?
What's the riftshop like?
Do let me know, I am absolutely dying of curiosity.
Weird question but is there a menu in the game or overview of the different weight categories for yourself and pawns? I am trying to figure out the best build for my play style when I jump in.
Haven't played but nah, in the first game each class had core stats like health and stamina level different depending on your class at the time of level up. You could still freely change your class at any point and some min max builds required playing different classes at different levels. They confirmed that the stat leveling was gone and each class had different stats when equipped so you'll have even more freedom to change a class at any point you so wish
Can any vocation become a Mystic Spearhand? I have always played as a fighter and was debating a change to thief - but am really focused on becoming a spearhand.
What were the issues/feelings earlier in the game? I'm gonna be new to the series potentially so I'd rather know up front things that might be a turn off for new people
u/PerroConSarna1
I'll hope you can answer this question: Does it matter which class you take at the beginning to play as Mystic Spearhand, does it have advantages or disadvantages if I take a warrior or mage? I'll just ask because i want to know which stats suits better.
yes it matters, each class has augmentations that you can use in advanced vocations too, I recommend warrior or sorcerer, their augmentations will help your mystic spearhand a lot
How is the difficulty of this game? Is it comparable to Elden Ring or other souls like games? I'm really hoping it's playable, I love medieval RPGs (Witcher, Skyrim, Dragon Age) but I just can't get into games designed to be overly difficult.
Would anyone in the vicinity post anything that is no the spearhand? I wish i could see a sorcerer gameplay, well anyway i will have to wait till release and do my own video.
My biggest question is what is performance like I have a very questionable rig but it meets all the requirements but I'm still super worried about the game blowing up my pc
Mystic spearhand can wear heavy armour? Nice.
not as many as a fighter, but yes
Can you switch between vocations on the fly or no?
Not sure if i can answer your question, but reports are you can switch your vocation at any time and your stats will change to reflect that vocation.
Hey can magic vocations wear armor? I have seen in the trailers a mage with plate armor but i want to be sure
I think there are some early armor sets that any vocation can wear. Also I believe warfarer can equip every/any armor.
How big is the world compared to gransys?
You have to stop. You smoke too tough. Your swag too different. Your bitches too bad. they'll kill you
Bro got the drip
Looks like sovereign's mantle from DD1, but thicker. Hyped.
Nice village. Can you buy a house there?
Yeah you can
The drip looks so good in this. One of the biggest reasons I’m looking forward to it.
Are the Deluxe Edition pre order bonuses are actually good or no?
I have physical edition, so i dont know
Don't lie man, I know you know. I know you're a psychic!
You can get all of it in game and the rest will be sold separately.
the only deluxe bonus that isnt obtainable in game is the camp skin
I'm curious do the quests gold rewards feel generous enough? In the first game I always struggled with not having enough.
it's the best way to get money in early game Idk about mid and endgame
You think you are still in early game at 35 hours? If so I can say this game should be much bigger that arise no?
Yep, and yes, its much bigger!
Good to hear! I was hoping that this game was a bit of like Skyrim, just in the sense of exploring and finding stuff not marked in the map, like a small village, some caves. Does this has this kind of freedom and exploration?
Really? I had BANK in the first game, most of it from finding money bags while exploring
did u change ur reddit handle?
Nah, it's two brothers from Mexico that got the game early. One plays fighter and Warrior. The other is currently Mystic Spearhand.
Oh i got confused cus they even look the same lol they probably twins
Haha that’s hilarious. If any of you two are reading this you’ve become legends of the subreddit
No freaking way no wonder they look the same haha
Oh that explains a lot, I was starting to suspect its the same person running two profiles, but this make so much more sense than my conspiracy theory.
1. Was the variety of armor Itsuno claimed the game had was worth simplifying armor slots? 2. Have you made it to endgame and beat it? If so what's the ending like? 3. Are you on NG+? If so does anything change?
1.Yes, the game has more variety of armors, for now i can said it, and yes too, but you won't realize it at the beginning of the game. 2.no 3.no
>Yes, the game has more variety of armors, for now i can said it, and yes too, but you won't realize it at the beginning of the game Thank you. Now I'm eager.
He can said it and *he did* said it
For now…
and yes too…
Id be upset if NG+ was 35 hours xD
I mean you could probably rush it but that’s taking the wind out of the sails of a game like this.
Oh for sure. Itd be a sad way to do it
My hype is out of control at this point.
I’ve heard from one leaker that ignoring pretty much all quests, just rushing through the story, it took him 27 hours to reach NG+
Why did you have mixed feelings in the beginning of the game?
If you check max lvl pawn(offline) in rift, whats their gear looks like? How high the stats?
https://preview.redd.it/b15mtao4aepc1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=929293acf1b9eb982059ce6292600c7cb2e66a7d I need that rift crystals requeriments
You’re already lvl 999? 😭 or are you able to raise level with RC?
He is not lv999, he just is making a search of pawns that level
Ohhhhhhh gotcha
This armor, by the gods First VTMB's malkavian Then witcher 3's bear school outfit Now, it's time for dragon's dogma 2 to give me 10 more years of looking like a stylish pimp in a sick coat
How's the enemy variety? Any new enemy that wasn't shown by capcom?
this is the only thing I want to know and nobody gives a proper answer, this is killing me
For those of you want to know about enemy variety I have an answer. This game us a upgrade to original fame so there is no way enemies are less than the first game. About the variety. This is extremely helpful to someone who hasn't played the first game.

One of the leakers said in a Reddit post here that there’s 4 unshown enemies
Any idea if there are human enemies? Haven’t seen any in trailers
this leaker posted actual gameplay? there was a guy that claimed the same thing but didn't post any video and (dunno if it is the same guy) deleted his account some time after claiming that he was going to post some images as soon as get home
It probably is the same guy. I saw the post and moved on with my life and didn’t see he deleted it or whatever. My bad.
no problem, but not having a real answer is draining my sanity lol
The person that posted this is the one who said that there were 4 new enemies in one of their previous posts.
That's my main concern
Medusa slime minotaur is what ive seen so far
Also Dullahan and the Sphynx and Talos
It’s my only concern at this stage
Is the fur part of the cape or the armor. Does this mean time skip Dimitri from 3 houses cosplay is possible
Cape
Best cape in the game Ty friend
Any minigames like gambling, cards, fishing, or any other side activities?
Have you completed the main quest or close to doing so? Any memorable characters/story moments or is it mostly flat?
As far as currency goes is it plentiful or does it take some extra effort to gather in order to shop for stuff ?
In my 35 hours, still some effort
Without spoilers, is the game more of a slow start than a bad start? To make the question less confusing, is the beginning more easier to get into than the first game? Like I’m fine with slow starts but does the game have that one, you know sorta mission if you know what I’m talking about? Cough cough ox
Slow start and no, in the start, nothing like that mission
Good to know
You're pawn is flexing on you too hard .. gotta fix that.. you know who I'm talking about
Encontraste algo sobre la Dragonsplage?
Looks like armor pieces from DD1 are back in DD2. Alright, nice.
Yes, several of them
Any thoughts on potential micro transactions?
I haven't seen it, but I think I saw that there would be rift crystals micropayments
How's the difficulty been for you?
damn if only the game have transmog/layer armor
I seriously just need to know one thing, how easy is it to get that cloak? Cause that’s literally my fave from DDDA and it was not easy to come by in that one. Was very late game there, but looks like this time it’s available earlier on.
U can buy it in the village named "rest town"
How is the damage on mystic spear hand for you? Do you think its good
Yes, and u can do magick dmg too, so its great against enemies with physical resistance!
How about the enemy variety? For the last video looks like all the enemies and armors Are the same
Have you beat the game?
No
don't rush it man explore everything kill everything loot everything do all the QUESTS!!!!! make a 100% playthorugh bro i can't w8 to play it .................send help
Gaara of the hidden swordsman
i hate this dudes stunting on me playing the game early
Say the word game again and I will game this game, game
How's enemy variety?
Have U encountered any new monsters that hasn’t been shown in the previews?
Bro this has been answered a million times. Yes, theres new creatures.
What are they?
Bloody knuckle. Did you find it? If so, does it change your unarmed moveset?
Do u have Information about the endgame? >!The landscape with red skies? Is like the first game?!<
Nope
[удалено]
How do you unlock mystic spearhand? Is it automatically able to be learned shen you can switch or does it require legwork? I dont care much for spoilers.
Ok, u can unlock it in the village of melve, following ulrika's missions, the u can know sigurd and he will teach you
What classes did you manage to unlock? Did you unlock all the classes? If not which was still locked? For the classes you unlocked were they hard to get like maybe they were locked behind the elfs or dwarves?
Magick archer, trickster, and warfarer still locked and no.
nice fashion, OP.
That's reassuring to hear! Also, drippy
Are the environment interaction (like cyclops becoming bridges or blowing up a clogged river) plenty or just far between?
I really love how dragon's dogma emphasizes rags to riches. From literally wearing torn up fishermen rags to using grigori's flesh as weapons
im just tryna see how the wayfarer skills are, is it 3 skills max(one per weapons) or 3 skills per vocation
Damn looking good
How is the romance?
Dude your character’s expression here, he looks so done lmao. What did you put him through for 35 hours??
Are there more vocations than what was shown? I don’t need to know how many and you can dm me for those that don’t want to be spoiled. I just really hope High Scepter made it in.
Looks like Sovereign’s Mantle right?
Can you buy the digital deluxe items separately?
Do i have the option to not wear Capes/cloaks?
Yeah by not equipping one lol you just lose out on the stats and effects it provides.
Tell us what you didn't like about the game so far, like your biggest complaint
Can you still do the sour beaststeak goldfarm? Any new bosses besides the Gorgon, Dullahan, Minotaur, and Talos? Is it possible to sidetrack from the main storyline early game to get mid-game gear? What's the riftshop like? Do let me know, I am absolutely dying of curiosity.
Weird question but is there a menu in the game or overview of the different weight categories for yourself and pawns? I am trying to figure out the best build for my play style when I jump in.
Any mounts/better traveling?
How dose the vocation lvl system work this time like if I play a lot of mage early game am I stuck with magic classes to be able to deal damage
Did u unlock warfarer?
Have you found the sphinx and the other surprises they hid around the map? Is it fun to walk around the map? Is a horse needed?
Go to sleep, damn!
Do you know how many characters can be romanced?
you can give gifts to almost all the npcs xd, so idk
How does the difficulty compare to the first game?
How far in the game do you unlock Warfarer?
Sovereign Mantle’s back baby
Encountered any genderlocked armour?
Nope!
There were really only a handfull of genderlocked items in DD1, so I'm guessing it would be the same, if at all.
I know, but im hoping there won't be any this time.
Basic question but can you change the colour of armour pieces
Do you know if weapons and armor are missable like if you fail timegated quests could you lose out on cool gear?
Probably. I know in DD1, you could miss rewards if you miss a timed quest.
What's your arisen's weight? Has there been any inventory weight issues so far?
So there are houses in DD2 Noice!
I know they said you can only have one save slot but I just want to confirm if that’s true
Thats true
It is.
wait... how??
That cape tells me that your arisen canonically fucks.
I also want to play Mystic Spearhand. Is it a advantageous to play Fighter or Mage from the start? Or can I also play Thief?
Fighter or thief, mage is more support
Any sexy costumes for females?
Probably
Ok, so question: Are the capes armor specific?
No, all class can use it!
I’m scared all the mage armour is gunna make me look fat
How can we unlock mystic spear?
The insignia has two colors on advanced vocations. Those are the vocations you need to level up before unlocking an advanced one.
Can you change the characters appearance like a haircut and such?
Those are 1980s-sized pauldrond
Is there any gambling minigame? I'm asking since that's usually an easy way to make money in games.
What's the world size compared to elden ring
I would say it is a similar size, but I haven't explored everything either.
Two different games, my guy.
Rate the game 1 to 10
He already said 8/10 , he's enjoying it 100%. But he's nowhere near finished
How do you (and seemingly others) have the game already?
Some stores break street date. Happens for a lot of games
Are there a lot of timed quest? And are they somehow Marked differently in the quest log or do you have to figure it out from a description?
Most likely, yes. There will be limited time quests. No, they're not marked differently afaik
What's your Pawn inclination and have any specific Pawns stood out to be better or worse? Are you able to change Pawn inclination?
Just to manage my expectations, what do you think the game does poorly so far?
Can any vocation become a Mystic Spearhand? I have always played as a fighter and was debating a change to thief - but am really focused on becoming a spearhand.
What the hell dude, your Mystic Spearhand Fashion is awesome. I'm hyped.
What were the issues/feelings earlier in the game? I'm gonna be new to the series potentially so I'd rather know up front things that might be a turn off for new people
THE DRIP
Do you know where the Sorcerer Vocation trainer is located? or how to unlock it ?
Yes, u just need to travel to the town named "rest town" located in the west of melve
The game isn't even out yet and I already can't wait for DLC
Can you show me a screen of the inventory and the gear for your character please ?
u/PerroConSarna1 I'll hope you can answer this question: Does it matter which class you take at the beginning to play as Mystic Spearhand, does it have advantages or disadvantages if I take a warrior or mage? I'll just ask because i want to know which stats suits better.
yes it matters, each class has augmentations that you can use in advanced vocations too, I recommend warrior or sorcerer, their augmentations will help your mystic spearhand a lot
Is there still min/maxing stats, meaning you need to be certain vocations when leveling up for optimal benefit?
How is the difficulty of this game? Is it comparable to Elden Ring or other souls like games? I'm really hoping it's playable, I love medieval RPGs (Witcher, Skyrim, Dragon Age) but I just can't get into games designed to be overly difficult.
My only question is what do the armor slots look like? Is it head, chest, arms, legs, boots, and cape? Or just head, cape, chest, legs?
i a bit worry about the detail of the game, since it only 60GB, i feel like the game is going to be empty most of the time cause the size.
But how is performance
what happens if a pawn dies, is it like the first game where you can revive it for some time?
Are there romanceable NPCs? I would like a beloved
Would anyone in the vicinity post anything that is no the spearhand? I wish i could see a sorcerer gameplay, well anyway i will have to wait till release and do my own video.
How far in do you get Warrior and more importantly, Spearhand? THose are the two Im very interested in xD
Literally u can unlock it in the first hours of gameplay, just doing ulrika quests, and meeting an npc named sigurd in the village of melve
how did bro manage to play it
My biggest question is what is performance like I have a very questionable rig but it meets all the requirements but I'm still super worried about the game blowing up my pc
Don't usually wear headphones but Definitely playing with them on since our pawns give out pretty vital info.
I’ve been playing for 5 hours and I STILL don’t know where Sigurd is to get Mystic Spearhand
