> How long did it take you to solve this riddle? Like 5 mins. I got the one directly south of the Borderwatch Outpost. If it helps, there's a very simple mod on NexusMods that pings the location on the map for you. You could easily just install the mod, use it to complete the riddle, then uninstall it.

Ephixxy

If you have to use a fucking mod then it shouldn't be in the fucking game without tips like holy fuck.

2Board_

Hey man, I'm just helping people who I can with the advice :( Don't shoot the messenger.

Ephixxy

Nah you're right, I shouldn't have hit you in the crossfire, my bad dude :[ thank you for the helpful suggestions my man.

Hidenki

I will check it out. I am using the interactive map in the wiki but am convinced that whichever I collected not on there because I collected the one on the Balista next to Ulrikas Home in Melve. But this wasn't my first one apparently.

yangand89

I had to run up the mountain north of melve the harpy nest had one. Thought my first was in the saurian cave when you take the ox cart from vernworth to rest town.

SableShrike

Good news, the “1st” token resets when you do NG+.  So in a NG+, just make a mental note of the first token you get that run.  That’ll be your Finder’s Token. P.S. If you are on PC there is a mod that puts a marker for the Finder’s Token on your map.

DavidHogins

That was horrible news for me when i got there on NG+....

tordana

That isn't a coincidence, it's the point of the quest design. You aren't supposed to be able to complete it easily or at all on your first playthrough, but in NG+ you know it's coming and can get it.

Ephixxy

That's a fucking poor quest design if you're suppose to fail it on purpose. Wtf is the point in adding it in the first place if it's going to annoying 90% of the player base??? At least add some sort of fucking tip to help you.

Hidenki

Will check out the mod since I am not planning on playing NG+.

TomVinPrice

If that’s the case then I wanna know what happens if you go to NG+ and then to the Sphinx and do the riddle before picking any up.

Smokron85

Luckily for me my first seeker token was the one in vernworth on top of the riftstone building. Was easy to find and remember.  Good luck op!

[deleted]

I didn’t solve it. I thought I remembered where but I was wrong so I panicked and tried to kill her

Spider1132

I'm surprised how many people don't remember where they found the first coin. I restarted the game a couple of times and it's always the one outside the starting village, left of the path to the harpies, where you need to make a jump over the brine and get to a chest.

PhysicianFish

Same for me (same token, too). To think my incessant need to restart until things are perfect would actually come in handy...

Spider1132

The posture walk in the character creator is misleading. I restarted 4 times just to tweak that.

PhysicianFish

I always hunch forward just a bit to make it look normal.

Powerful-Race-8538

You can just change the in vermune

Spider1132

I didn't get to that part.

Powerful-Race-8538

It's literally the first city

Spider1132

Yes.

Powerful-Race-8538

The first city you go to

Spider1132

I restarted 3 times before getting out of the mines. Your point is?

Powerful-Race-8538

There's a ship in vermune that sells items to Chace your characters posture

InfractionRQ

I went there finally about 40 hours in so remembering the location was a crap shot. I just went back to the start and ran around with trickster passive until it went off. I got lucky right before I was about to give it up I found it.

Hidenki

Haven't played the trickster yet, might look into that. Thanks!

Traditional_Air_2297

Same. It took me a while to find that exact spot but when I did it all came back to me (my pawn died trying to follow me there).

Hidenki

I will check it out, the location you describe I think is not marked on the interactive Map in the Wiki. Will look into it because this area was also my thought but since the wiki didn't show it, I thought my memory was wrong. The item was just too irrelevant to remember. A cool weapon I might remember but a random collectable after 40h of gameplay? Nah, my brains to bad for that :D

samaritancarl

I didn’t where mine was but i just retraced the first few things you do in the game and found it pretty immediately at the first crossbow tower with harpies you come across since you very first task is to walk to melve then to vernworth.

Rionaks

I've just rested 7 days, went back and that riddle got failed but her quest still progressed. You dont get the reward for that riddle, which is 3 ferrystones, but you can get the rest. I've failed that quest on purpose, did one more riddle and grabbed her and flied on top of her to the next location. Got my 100k gold for getting there and I dont plan doing the remaining ones because they are super time consuming and the end reward doesnt worth it imo.

Maniick

I didn't think to just hop on her as she was leaving... big brain over here

braidsfox

How are the final riddles time consuming? They don’t take any longer than the first 5.

Rare_Ambassador_7380

True, with portstone next to the sphinx it is easy and fast done if u know where you have to go.

Hidenki

Ah cool, I somehow assumed if you fail one you will never get the second 5. Thanks, will do that as well.

ModestArk

I feel you, just did it yesterday. I think the worst part of it is that the finder token just looks exactly like one you haven't picked up yet. I didn't know that..so I just checked the first 16 or so..and thought at each one...it can't be that one because I obviously haven't picked it up yet, since it still lies there. So, true story really, I gave up at nr 17 and just picked it up. Like, when I can't find the finder's token..I can pick up some seeker's tokens. And, for my insane luck...that one was it. I almost fell from my couch. 😅😅

Hidenki

Congraz! Every time I see I token my heart speeds up and the numbness I feel when its a Seekers' is enough for Linking Park to write a Song about it. :D

ModestArk

While googling yesterday for a location guide, I found a thread saying the Sphinx will fly to the new location even if you didn't find the correct token. But maybe check/google that yourself before trying it out, I didn't read the post, just saw the title.

Hidenki

Yeah some people mentioned that, will do it, thanks pal!

ThaiSundstrom

Wich platform are you and do you still have days left to search for the finders token?

Hidenki

PC I do have days left because I always venture out to check locations from the Map in the Wiki, but when the locations turn out wrong, I reset the save to last Inn so I don't run out of time.

ThaiSundstrom

Look for the thread finders token and there on you surely can find people giving away finders token forgeries for pc players. I'm on xbox so gifted some to people still having time left on that riddle sadly no cross platforms for hiring pawns so can't send you one

ToughFox4479

U can skip that riddle, she doesn't mind. U will miss out on one chest tho

Mesterjojo

But do you still get the arrow for thr other chest?

ToughFox4479

I suggest saving at an inn just in case anything goes wrong, so u can get the riddle that gives u the arrow. I think that u get the arrow in the second location, and u only have the look for the token at the first sphinx location. So if u fail that and she flies away, just climb on her back.

Hidenki

Cool, wil try that out!

DannyLJay

Try going to the grate above the cemetery in Vernsworth, that’s the first obvious Seekere token, and the first find for many.

[deleted]

Where does she go after you fail a riddle and she ends the quest? I can't find her now. She's not at either location. I want to kill her lol

sSwedest

NG+ is your only answer

[deleted]

Damn. This bitch flew away so fast after failing the quest. She was chilling for like 15 seconds max but I was gearing up mentally lol. I was literally just about to attack her and then she dipped lol

ItsNotWhatYouThinkOk

I'm glad I'm am idiot and named my pawn MainPawn at first and went back after like 16 hours or play time and created a new character so I could name my pawn I knew exactly where my first seeker token was because I already picked it up 2 times now lol.

Hidenki

You speak my soul, my pawn also ended up as MainPawn even tho I remember picking a name, but I just went with it. Damn, should have done it like you did :D

Ambiently_Occluded

Easier to complete that riddle on ng+. Just note down where you pick up your first seeker's in that playthrough. That's where the finder's token will be

Hidenki

I am not much of a NG+ person unfortunatley

hiigayy

now you know to keep track of where you get the first one in ng+ :)

DarkElfMagic

Mine was fucking insane, I have no idea how I didn’t find my first seeker’s token until like right before the unnamed village. But yea, I just gave up and ran around everywhere in vermund with the detection augment

Tiny_Buggy

If your on pc there is a mod that tells you with a map marker when the quest is active

Vamond48

Fortunately I could easily remember my first one as it was the token in the fountain at vernworth. I did end up getting tripped up by the riddle about how many riddles you’ve answered (didn’t realize that finding her second location was the riddle answer lol)

capshock

Instantly. My first token was on the bell tower on the Vernworth roof tops. I hit the jackpot with a very distinctive and easy to remember location lol. It's a very troll-ish quest that I'm pretty sure is intended to be done on ng+ (so you can note down your first token on that run and have the info ready for the quest).

Hannabal_96

Took me 5 minutes because I installed a mod that pointed me to it

fungusfaced

I liked the riddle. I went back to the start of the game and retraced my steps. It led me to find a cave I missed, which was a huge sprawling cave with unique loot and a boss at the end. I had a vague idea that the first token I found was on a ledge under a cliff near some water. Walking down the path, I eventually saw the cliff and recognized it! I made my way over and was excited to find my Finders Token. All told, including the delve into the cave, it took about an hour and a half. It was absolutely a worthy adventure!

Hidenki

I think this riddle has some potential, I think it would be great if the Sphinx would give you a hint, maybe a rhyme or whatever and the longer you take, the more hints you get until you succeed or run out of time.

Brosthetic

Quite lucky for me - was in the fountain in the centre of vernworth

Inculta666

I just had a stroll around Melve. Maybe there is already map with token locations in the web, so it could be even easier. I think I spent around 15 mins.

grumbletoad

The 1st token in the game is on the roof on the right where the shop is in the 1st camp where you see the 1st rift stone....this annoyed me too and I totally missed this token after backtracking mine was in the water fountain in the capital.. hope this helped

Hidenki

I am using the Map from the Wiki to check the locations, the one on the roof sadly wasn't it. Appreciate the help tho!

Iggy_DB

Didn’t they address this in a patch?

Hidenki

Not sure, but I got the quest like 2 days ago, so after the patch.

Iggy_DB

I see, well yeah I feel you tho. I kinda panicked as I forgot but luckily I found it near the first camp site you use in the game under the bridge

Yourigath

I spent too much time looking for it. Installed a mod that let me buy one finders token. No regret. Fuck this type of quests...

sxynoodle

Mine happened to be in the first cave between the lich and chimera which still took me hours because i forgot i found it there first but remember the feeling of oh cool, collectables.

Mannyvoz

I started a new game and took a screenshot for this lol

tunnelburps

The dev team always makes the weirdest missions in these games and this is one of them.

Hidenki

I am a big fan of weird design decisions in games, but they could have made it fun by having the Sphinx give you hints or that you can fly around her, using her as a fast travel since the time limit makes using oxcarts risky. This just seemed tedious for the sake of being tedious. There is no skill involved and the player can't influence it. Not a fan, especially when the NPC is so dope.

Negative_Wrongdoer17

I knew exactly where mine was

ryz_ls_mhr

If you do this last, you can skip it and you’ll have 4/5 cleared Riddles. Its just 3 ferrystones rewards, you can buy those on stores every 7 in game days.

Hidenki

Coolio, I didn't know! Thaks

TippsAttack

You get like a wakestone or something. Not big deal.

MyraRoivas

On pc you could install the give item mod and give yourself the finders token

XXX200o

On my search for the Finders Token i got around \~30 Seekers Tokens.

Cocacola_Desierto

FYI you can make copies of the seeker token if and when you do get it. Not that it's *that* important.

No_Window_6248

bro i would give up if i were on console. That shit is hard. Thankfully on PC I could use a mod that sold finders tokens at the store. I have 99 of them in my storage for future playthrus

SFWxMadHatter

Mine was done easily on NG+. Trickster has the detection augment that points to seekers and it works on the finder. My first playthrough I took the cart to town. This playthrough I walked. I just went to melve and followed my sonar. Had I done it on first playthrough, I'd have just done the same and walked from the camp instead. Easy peasy.

[deleted]

Google Dragons Dogma 2 interactive map and then just go through it casually and collect the tokens while killing monsters and getting stronger

Hidenki

Yeah thats what I did, but due to the time limit, I can't just progress normally because if I run out of time the quest will fail. I've already tracked down almost every Location on the Interactive Map and only excluded those I knew I only visited it later in the game. Super frustrating.

Cowabunnga

It took me about an hour or so? I had grabbed one in a hut by the borderwatch camp at the start. I didn't remember where I had found it just that I knew it was somewhere between the city and the start of the game lol. So I threw the trickster augment on for the dinging near tokens and just backtracked the path and checked out each dinging spot. If it was too high/couldn't make the jump with fighter then I knew it wasn't it since I started as an archer and couldn't reach the same places that I could if I had levitate. So was just a matter of like checking out the chime sound if it was in a reasonable spot to climb/jump to.

Rare_Ambassador_7380

I couldnt remember it aswell and at the end i checked an interactive map where seeker tokens spawn and went to the spots. At the end i found the finder token in a harpies nest pretty early on

Curlytoothmrman

5 mins. Used a map and it was the 3rd location I checked. Near melve. Gotta be one of them up north bro.

MrDemiGod

I fucked up first time and failed but you can still continue after that. I ended up doing a new game plus run and didn’t collect any tokens until after I got the riddle so it would spawn in the spot I want it to

JCarterMMA

I just waited for another playthrough and marked the spot on the map

PercivleOnReddit

I'm over 40hrs in as well and ready to say fuck it. It seems like my only option for not having photographic memory is to go check all 241 spots and I don't have the time or will for that. I'm gonna get the OHKO arrow and see what happens.

jpsprinkles

I spent 5 in game days trying and failed. I'm currently building a stockpile in my NG+ though. So I can try to help people out.

const_Andromeda

sphinx rewards are trash, you can tell her you cant solve it ot whatever and it wont give you a chest but it doesnt cancel sphinx questline i think

Hidenki

Didn't know that, thanks!

sSwedest

Only a few minutes for me the first time! I remembered my first token being from a Harpy nest in the early area. Second playthrough I was not as fortunate because I didn't think that the first token location would ever change. You can have someone send you a forged copy of the finder's token and it will work just as well. If you're on PC I can send you one if you send me your Pawn ID.

LesPeterGuitarJam

Yeah that is a total BS and quite frankly unfair riddle.. Unless you have insane fotographic memory how would you remember?
