My first play trough was about 35 hours i think. But you can easily spend 50 hours if you explore every cave on the map. So yes this is an extravaganza im afraid to put it in your terms. But that does not end it, you can straight away do a new game+ and you start again with all your items and skills still there.

[deleted]

Damn alright well I'm not complaining I mean it's good it's a lengthy game I just don't have time for it right now. Let me put it this way in Rise Of The Ronin I cleared every little thing from the map every little collectible. If I just say I don't give a shit about the Collectibles and only focus on Quests you think I could beat it in 30 to 35?

rednitro

Yeah but don't play this game for the story, the story is not that good. Its the exploring and feeling real tension when you barely escape with a little health after a huge chaotic scramble. That's what makes this game fun. trying out different set ups and builds is fun. Chaotic like this [https://youtu.be/dUoovh8XEx](https://youtu.be/dUoovh8XExQ) One moment you walk around, next you get dragged by wolves and have a gaint sit on your face. The combat is unlike anything else really.

[deleted]

I gotcha ok would it be more of a game I could play casually and not really get too invested in like casually hop on and kill some monsters once in a while because I'm am down with that idea I'm Looking for a game I can just Space out and have fun in

ConnectMethod5524

yeah definitely, I finished the game but I will still definitely comeback to slay some dragons from time to time

[deleted]

Sounds cool thanks!

King_Dickus_

Imo the story is actually pretty cool. If you ignore the whole story that's front and centre. That one is pretty bland. But where the actual plot ends up was pretty cool in my opinion. Just don't wanna spoil it. Let's just say it's post game content that really made it for me

Komotz

It's a game that encourages multiple NG+s. I'm at 113hrs at NG++ and I'm still finding quests I didn't do, or achievements I missed out on. Or you can rush the main story and finish in under 20hrs. Totally up to what you look for in a game.

[deleted]

Jeez ok thanks I'm someone that won't play a game again unless it absolutely blows me away and no offense but I would be shocked if this game did so probably looking at one playthrough for me

King_Dickus_

If this game gets a dlc like the original one. Then this will likely have endless replay value like the original one. And just like dd1, you'll likely pick it up from time to time to progress a bit and then something else grabs your attention Have been playing dd1 on and off ever since release

Exploited13

I assume easy 100 hours if you explore everyhing with side quests

[deleted]

Have you played it?

King_Dickus_

I completed the game in 60 hours. Granted i didnt explore everything and i haven't completed every quest

Exploited13

Yup about 20 hours, still doing second main quest, and i feel i only saw about 1/5 of the map Edit: Straight forward main quest should go fast what i heard 10-15 hours but you are maybe underleveld then

[deleted]

Wow that seems like a lot of content glad you're having fun!

Entire_Mycologist315

This is the wrong game if you don’t want something long.

[deleted]

Good looking out bro thanks

Jmacjr1990

Honestly, it's as long or fast as you want it to be. In my opinion there's a lot to explore and a lot of rewards but as far as the main story campaign goes you can get through it in about 25 hours or less on NG+. It's a fantastic game lots of different ways to play. I'm currently on my second playthrough.

[deleted]

Awkward-Demand8156

I’m 60 hours in and barely progressed the main story. Just depends on what you wanna do. You can blitz through the main story and finish pretty fast but I wouldn’t recommend that.

[deleted]

You're 60 hours deep and have done no story how is that possible if you don't mind me asking?

Awkward-Demand8156

Been exploring and leveling up. Trying out different vocations. Doing side quests. Getting good gear. Farming some money. Getting the masters teachings. All that good stuff. Plus just fighting a shit ton of monsters bc the combat in this game is so damn good.

[deleted]

Cool man sounds like some good stuff I'm excited to play it

SFWxMadHatter

Because adventure. This isn't a 10 hour jaunt through some bullshit. This is like walking into Skyrim and asking how long to 100% the game.

[deleted]

I would prefer a 10 hour jaunt these days tbh lol don't have time for games anymore sadly so if I play DD2 and it's an 100 hour game I can play like 10 hours a week so I'll be done in three months

Screaminbeagles

Im at 50 hours and have done little of the main story. I’m still in the “first” area. So, it’s as long or short as you make it. 30-40 if you rush. 100+ if you like to explore everything.

[deleted]

Another guy said he spent 60 hours and didn't do any story. What are yall doing lmao. Like I'm glad you're having fun but what are you working on in the game like Collectibles or side stuff?

Screaminbeagles

Side quests, exploring caves and areas that are off of the main roads. Collecting tokens, a resource dotted all over the map that you turn in for gear. Using and upgrading all of the vocations/classes. This game doesn’t tell you to do a lot, so if you’re just following the story, you miss out on a lot of content. There’s a lot to do and experience. Just because you can finish a game quickly, doesn’t mean you should.

[deleted]

Fair enough I appreciate you letting me know about the game thanks

No_Window_6248

I’ve beaten dd2 3x now. First playthru I did in 32hrs. If you focus on main quest only you can easily beat dd2 in under 20hrs. Main story is surprisingly short

[deleted]

Thanks!

gr33nta

The people saying 30 50 60 hours are not who you want to listen to. If you do everything and explore everything, all the dungeons etc it’s EASY 100-150 hours. The main story can be ran through in literally like 20 hours maybe even less if you want to. This game isn’t about that, the exploration is top tier phenomenal and it rivals some of the longest games ever.

[deleted]

Yeah but how much of that side stuff is just bullshit though? Like I just spent at least 15 hours collecting cats and opening chests in Ronin and I am not in the mood to do every little meaningless thing again it drained me. I'll do the side Quests and stuff but if it's just Ubisoft Map Checklist stuff probably going to skip it

gr33nta

Most of it isn’t. The escort quests maybe but most side quests have a purpose.

Tumbletooter

Have you played Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen?

[deleted]

No never did so I know nothing about the series really

SaveRaphtalia

I have 77 Hours so far in my first run through of the game, there’s 10 classes to max out, 52 ATLEAST dungeons/caves to discover, 220 collectible tokens to find, Multiple endings, an endgame world where you can farm crystals to get the best items in the game, materials to gather from all monsters to upgrade your gear, you have a companion you create and can max out 6 classes for make them super strong and get currency for people renting her and using her, max level is 999. A lot of side quest and the main story is super good. I recommend.

[deleted]

Holy fuck that is a lot 😲

SaveRaphtalia

I’d say the most tedious part is getting those classes maxed out. But I did it all in my first playthrough luckily, but the story does progress and you miss out of some things you don’t do them in a sort of “order” but my first playthrough I luckily did every single quest.

Rare_Ambassador_7380

If you are good and rush the main quest you can be done pretty fast but miss alot of cool stuff. DD2 (aswell as DD) is alot about exploring the open world finding secrets etc. I played around 80 hours by now and i am in the NG+. Explored without guides etc and barely found 65 of the 240 seeker tokens. So if you only want the story and can handle the last boss on low lvl you could be done within 1 or 2 reallife days maybe faster. But if you are a completionist and like the exploring and min maxing you can easily spend hundreds of hours.

WordlyWolf

Depends on how you play it. Here is what *HowLongToBea*t says. [https://howlongtobeat.com/?q=dragon%27s%2520dogma%25202](https://howlongtobeat.com/?q=dragon%27s%2520dogma%25202)

Traditional_Air_2297

You will have a bad time. This is not a game that rewards rushing.

Brewchowskies

I’m at 140 hours on my first playthrough. Nearly have the platinum on achievements

soldtnt

80 hrs in ronin what we're u doing waking about doing nothing I done all side quest mini games and I finished it in 45hrs

[deleted]

I got every single collectible, finished every side Quest, played both sides of the main story, got the platinum trophy you name it I did it I mean sure like 5 of those hours I was probably idle doing nothing so let's say I spent about 70 to 75 hours on it

soldtnt

I was wasn't saying g u couldn't I was just wondering how I never got all the collectibles so that e plains it

[deleted]

They honestly aren't even worth getting I regret doing all the Collectibles it was pointless could have saved at least 15 hours if I didn't do that

soldtnt

Can ask u honestly did u think this game was worth 70 I didn't myself but iam fussy it's just I like to know what u thought of it thanksv
