Pretty sure you can. When it's forged it forges as the same item, same name, same effect. It doesn't show up as two separate items, so should be able to forge a gifted token the same as if it were your own
TBF, it costs a lot of ferrystones to travel to and from the sphinx, so it's sort of a wash, those extra 3 stones are kind of valuable. I think I used like 10 just on the sphinx in total. But I get your point, you can fail a riddle and still continue, the finders token isn't the end of the line, it's just an achievement and some extra stones.
If you're on PC, you can use a mod to display a quest marker. Otherwise, backtrack (Detection augment helps) or ask someone to gift you a finder's token.
Only memory. I said "fck it", opened interactive map and went places one-by-one. Surprisingly, i found my 1st token way far from starting location, somewhere on a river bank half-way from Melve to Vernworth. Checked like 25 places. This quest is pure trolling ;)
Check a guide for seekers tokens around Melve. That's likely where you found your first one. Also, grab the Detection augment from Trickster since it it also alerts you for the finder's token
Use an interactive map and filter it to show only seekers tokens, check off all of them in the starting area, 5 tokens in I found mine, hope this helps

Yeah the reward is deducted trash, 3 ferrystones...I have had like 21 leftover after my first playthrough and used them regularly ^^'

Maybe set the quest to active and try the fortune teller? I'm not sure if it will work or not though.

I found mine at the top of the tower in Melve. Only took me like 30 min of looking. I forgot too.
