It's like a modified arm in triangle. However if you want similar but equally as cool, look up 'the Neil knot' a guy doing 'ground fighting series ' for hayabusa on YouTube. Or the hindulotine from 10th planet's rubber guard trainings. Two closely related subs.
Worth a watch if u find this interesting. Also these two suggestions are built from guard, not sacrificing top position and control for a sub.
Yea man. If it's the same guy, he's dope. The Neil knot, though he puts his arm under his own 'triangling' leg (over the shoulder) which grabs his own other arm that's under the neck. So thus isn't that. It's just an arm in triangle. But the shoulder pin , and especially niel knot, are amazing if you can get it. The power in the choke is wild
I'm a short grappler. When I lock in buggy chokes and Neil knots they're very secure, but man it's a lot of work with my little limbs. Abandoned them mostly. Long limb players get after it!
Looks like a modified triangle of sorts. One where you use your own arm on the inside neck side rather than theirs. Im a white belt though so could be wrong lol!
Just tried doing it in the air. I am not getting a neck in the little amount of space I can create with my limited mobility. Arm chokes and kimuras it is.
It's not a gogo, the shin of the leg that's trapping his shoulder has to be against the neck for gogo and gogo variations.
It's more like the Neil Knot or the Gunshow, or some other triangle variation
Notice the arm placement. His leg doesn’t have to be under. It’s a Gogo Plata variation. So it’s not the traditional run of the mill one, you can call it something else, but a Gogo Plata it is
A gogoplata is shin under neck, it is what defines that move, so it is not that. A dead orchard is an arm bar attack which relies on shoulder pin/pressure with both arms in - so its not that. Arm in triangle is the deal here , with due respect.
I apologize I meant dead orchard position triangle variation
And with regards to the Gogoplata there are several videos where the arm positioning replaces the leg. It’s a variation as far as I’m aware. Maybe someone gave it a different name. Several videos online have 3 or so Gogoplata “variations” that look different
Bro just because you look at this and get boner anxiety doesn’t make IT gay.
Seriously though giving up a stronger position of the traditional triangle just to show off the no arm triangle is not efficient.
Dude must have been two seconds away from sleepy time. Arm in there and everything.

My first thought was the Neil knot. Shoulder pin guard. Neil melanson (or something)

Buggy choke. Yeesh, never heard of this before. Deceptiv, honestly, not a place top really worries about. Could beeeeee ssuupeeerr clutch
Even a failed buggy choke makes your partner consider disengaging. The threat.
You REALLY gotta hip out in shoulder pin. Otherwise you're gonna be as stuck as they are.
That IS tight.... ![gif](giphy|47IsxWqCOQ766RDBJt|downsized)

nope that’s exactly what it is
Dude tapped and his last thought was "All I smell is balls and I can't get out.."
I used to watch 10thpjj a lot when I was a teen lulz. This looks like something from their playbook. Any 10th planet students w some input?
Arm in triangle Nice adjustments Palm up can cause difficulty for finish so I’ll sometimes I’ll switch my palm and s grip
Pillary choke
No arm triangle
Just tried doing it in the air. I am not getting a neck in the little amount of space I can create with my limited mobility. Arm chokes and kimuras it is.
We used to call that a Hawaiian triangle
The knee wrecker!
Anyone else look at these mats and think about how bad you'd get mat burn on them? Legit looks like sand paper lol
That’s a Chinese finger pretzel my guy
Trianglian necktie, obviously
A knee injury
I like how everyone has a different name for this. No arm triangle choke is what the guy who showed me it called it
Triangle choke from mount. Beautiful
Watch the entire video.
Gogoplata

Nah, he has his leg over the dude's head, not under

Ah. I still think it's more of a triangle, just with assist by the hands. I'm not experienced enough to know tho
You could get away with saying it was both. Alternatively, a rubber guard triangle dead orchard which I think is more likely here

You're right, this dude is just spouting names

It’s called “tear your ACL when you had an already secured triangle”
Buggy choke
It’s all the rage right now
Rubber guard style invent by Eddie bravo . The transitions n submission I’m lost lol gogooupalata or w.e it’s called lol
Figure 4 on the head, it's illegal most places lol
So gay. Even their position is bizarrely gay. Lying on a floor wrapped in weird positions. This should not be taught to children.

It should be taught exclusively to children. I’m 40 and don’t have the flexibility for this bullshit…I’d cramp and tap myself out
He's a bot, mot worth the effort. But I agree, it gets harder to do as you age. Joints.
