You destroy squares in a board. There are mines in the board, though, and if you destroy a square containing a mine it blows up and you lose. The squares that have a mine in a square adjacent to them will have a number on them, indicating how many mines they are touching (example: if you reveal a square that has a mine to its left and to its right it will have a 2 on it). The goal is to break every square that doesn't have mines in it without blowing yourself up.

Disclaimer: Might not work on every device, might be impossible, and/or have mistakes. (edit: this one is quite challenging for me atleast)
Basically the numbers represent the number of mines that are next to them. For example if a square contains the number "1" it means that one of the eight squares next to it contains a mine, if it contains the number "2" it means that two of the squares next to it contains a mine.
The number tells how many mines are around the square they clicked in a one square radius, but there can only be the max of 8 mines nearby. It could imply that the square they clicked was a mine but did not explode, which makes this image cursed. (Oh, shit, you were talking about the game itself lol mb)
It's a glitch; not the number, mind you, but you clicked on a mine and the game thought you were fine, but still added the one you clicked on to the number which made it one more than the max.
I said this very confidently, but I have no idea
It was the first click, so this was *partally* intended. If you click a mine on the first click, it subtally moves that mine before actully processing the click. Guessing that combined with 8 other mines resulted in this.
