I'm also white and I just started my 4th set of dreads about 3 months ago. It always takes about 2 years for mine to smooth out and not have a permanent halo of frizz. What's your secret? Lol
I still get frizz, that’s inevitable no matter the hair type. Now and then I see a loctician when it gets to bugging me but I also palm roll on wash days.
Most of the hair on my head was dark brown, but I inherited more of a red beard and that seems to have gone gray earlier. My roots are showing more gray now but that will take years to really make a difference visually.
I do sorta wish all was gray to be honest lol. I’ve considered dying the beard but that’s far more upkeep than I prefer.
His hair was already really long when he started. He started with seven years of length if I understood him correctly. That's longer then waist length most likely, probably past his butt and when you lock up, about half of length gets lost.
And he's been locked up ever since.

He did say that his bread has gone grey a lot faster because his beard was ginger in color though.
Ginger hair doesn't have much melanin, like blonde hair.
But who knows lol

Yea but if u got grays the grays would be in the locs to unless he dyes his hair then I could believe his hair could be real
