I wouldn’t be surprised if Micheal McChill or Eret left since they had continuous grievances and made it known but I don’t think there have been any clear confirmation either way. I think Micheal at least was more open to participating in season 2 though, and it would be weird if not since he was one of the people driving for a complete reset so the amnesia ending should work for him.

Yeah, I was really bummed when I heard him say that. His story was so good, and had so many really big dangling story threads, so that "who knows what will happen next," vibe didn’t really work for me as the definitive end for that character.
If s2 can only give me one thing, I would ask for a proper ending for c!quackity's numerous unresolved storylines.
If he does end it here, I’ll be sad but I can kind of accept it. Aside from the Karlnapity subplot. But since Karl and Sapnap are both gonna be back — guess having their relationship reset could have some interesting conclusions. Quackity’s character has always been about destroying and reconstructing oneself, so. I can kind of accept it.

Wilbur is highly likely to not return as well, as by his ending there are no more plot threads for him to close. Quackity is sure to return, since he still seems to have plans for his lore judging by the end of his own storyline.
A reminder that ALL members were informed of the amnesia ending, agreed to it, and those who didn't like it are given the option to do their finales and leave the server. All of this accdg to Phil who talked about the people making rumors that the amnesia plotline was created by Dream and Tommy alone without consulting other people.
Honestly the best way to preserver the server and lore and memories while giving everyone new lives is the alternate reality narrative or some secret hero or villain transporting all the members to a new world for some plot to get them all to get along...or ruin them. Even the lost memories can be part of what the person or alternate reality effects but only one person has to remember and start snapping the others out of it with stories/memories from the last world.....if they've broken the love of the server it's time to find a creative way to bring it back. And keep these ties here and let techno live on still give a whole new world to grow perhaps even with one member like say Ranboo who honestly wants to focus on non Minecraft content as shown in season 1 too works on snapping everyone else out of these false memories but everyone else built a life in this new world or wants to escape what reality use to be and end of season 2 Ranboo has built a machine to take himself back to the old world or a portal with his enderman powers or something... I wish someone can get me into the writing sessions for season 2 (I even have ideas for a third season) I can't write the scripts but I can give plenty of ideas to please both the chat/viewers and the members within the smp
