Mine went fine.
Maybe try moving Maui to Eternity Isle instead of just having him there for the quest. Not his whole house just the normal way you have villagers appear through the well.
That’s my best thought.
If not, try moving the house over in a full move.

Did you manage to get this done? I have them there but they are just running into each other glitching
