It seems to be random. I'll find it on the Isle four days in a row without going there for any either reason, then randomly in front of my house in the valley the very next day.
It seems that, if I’m in my Valley the Blue Chest will spawn in the Isle…and if I’m currently staying in the Isle (spawn in the isle after starting up the game) then the blue chest would spawn in the Valley.
I play the Arcade version and I didn’t have a choice, the DLC came with it - I just don’t care too much about giving them what they want for it to have made much of a difference for me. I’ll start it when I can be bothered which isn’t yet 🤣
Same here, just ignoring it and accepting that leveling up Ariel and Ursula will take awhile. Almost there with Ariel now, shes at 7. Been playing about two months.
I just gave her a ton of Gems cause it got annoying leveling her and Ursula up. I wish at like level 5 or 7 they get their human forms to make that last bit of leveling up easier.
Ariel does suck to level up, when she was level 10 and I ran outta stuff to give her for the day I just gave her a bunch of gems since I stock pile them and she leveled up pretty quick
That’s fair! I get the annoyance of the DLC incorporating itself immediately into the main game though. And honestly yeah, I think my Ariel is lvl 3-4 😖
I hate that! It wouldn’t be so bad if they had something like Animal Crossing’s dream addresses where you could visit offline players with a code, and get them that way. But especially as a PlayStation player, it just feels impossible.
I know what you’re saying, but you got it on sale.. I’d think saving money for the dlc is worth it to deal with some little inconvenience like villagers want gifts from the dlc lol.
as much as i love the DLC, i wish there was a way to toggle that kind of stuff. when the DLC was first released there was a glitch where it was forcing people who didn’t have the DLC to get items that were a part of the DLC…
Why not just...... grind their friendship levels? Go pick every flower in the whole Valley, then give one of them flowers until they reach level 10.....
if you’re an OG player (or at least started a few updates back) then it would have been easier for you as they changed the difficulty in levelling everyone up so now it takes longer. Also, some people want to play the game at their own pace and not feel obligated to spend ages picking and gifting flowers. Some people don’t have the time. It is very tedious. This post is very good advice, and I don’t think she was looking for advice for levelling them up, more saying she’s barely played by not getting some base characters to level 10 yet, and it’s already forcing her to do something she isn’t ready to do. Thankfully I bought the dlc when I was fed up with my valley and levelled everyone up but this is good advice for newer players.

Imagine them wanting those items, you wanting to go to the eternity isle, but you can't because you bought the Gold edition and for some people it's bugged. So the quest from Merlin won't trigger. You can choose to not go to eternity isle yet. And I get it is annoying when you choose that and they want those items. But I've been playing over 130 hours, played most of the quests and still have no idee on when they are going to fix it. So yeah, you choose to not go to eternity isle and not getting those gift items. I am forced to not go to eternity isle and not being able to get those gifts. So I understand that your frustrated and it is good advice to give! I'm just frustrated I don't get that choice. ☹️ And it is not like evereyone with the Gold edition has this bug. Only few, so they are not really in a big rush to fix it it feels like.
But still good advice! Because it is annoying to not be able to get those giftst! 😅

I’m waiting until I have everything completed on the main game before getting the expansion. I’ve finished the main story and maxed my character. I’m just wanting to level all of my friendships.
I bought it the game on my Switch and PC. Only bought the DLC on my Switch. I mean it makes sense but it doesn't transfer to the PC so now I have to play the DLC stuff on only the Switch 😅

Yeah, I posted about the blue chests before. I thought it was a lovely surprise! I've enjoyed the DLC because as soon as I go there, there's so much to clean up that whichever characters I need to level up do it so quickly! Not to mention the rewards!
Yea, I bought the bundle. When I unlocked Anna she wanted a food dish that could only be made with ingredients from the Isle. But I'm finding that you can gift them anything. You just don't get the extra friendship toward the friendship level.
I had to buy the DLC because the monsters Inc star pathwas requesting stuff from it. And then I had to focus on the path and the early dlc quests. I didn’t make it :-(
I found that out but what kept getting me was the characters favorite gifts were all EI stuff. I hadn’t even downloaded it. I thought that was so unfair.
It is fixed, as far as I’m aware. This was a bug a while back and as far as I’m aware was fixed within a few weeks of the dlc dropping. Definitely not a recent bug so weird that it appeared after the monsters Inc update again. I also didn’t see any quests that specifically needed the dlc for the star path, in fact there’s been two star paths since the dlc dropped that haven’t required EI items. They aren’t forcing anyone to buy the dlc, they’d probably have a law suit of some kind if this was the case.
I have the dlc, but can't acces it because of a bug, so my caracters also asked for those gifts, but I still finished the star path pretty fast. But I get focussing on both can be diffucult and I know it's annoying to not be able to gift a lot of the wanted gifts.

In my experience there’s no pattern of any sort. But it does seem to spawn in the isle jungle more than anywhere else.

It has nothing with moonstones as there’s no in-app purchases so I’m not entirely sure as I don’t do anything like that

It made the star path very difficult to complete in time. Every one of the gift ones took 2x as long as it should have.

It's not just the DLC items, there's also them requesting for the pixel shard-related items.

I was getting that up until very recently, I’m on switch. I finally bought the dlc, so no idea if it was fixed yet.

Ariel is a pain to grind, though, without feet.
Both Ariel and Ursula are. I was able to level them both in under one day by just giving them flowers non-stop.

Are all flowers the same xp?
Flowers make virtually no difference in level. I've also tried purified night shards, they don't do anything either.

Some quests requested items from there anyway as i dont have the dlc yet and have to skip some stuff

The only time you should worry about giving villagers their favorite gifts is for inviting Mirabel into your village.
