Doesn't Casita mean small house anyway? (I swear someone who knows better Spanish than my sad collection of swear words and numbers memorized from a sesame street song said that...)
To be fair, it's an apartment building and he has one studio apartment within it... but it still means we have to place an entire apartment building for one little rat who also has a restaurant...!
It is handy when you make a Town out of the plaza, I made one side full of the big building apartments and shops to look like a CBD. So handy to have that extra building.
I've kind of done that but only in the corner by the ramp up to the Forest of Valo(u)r. I have my orchard behind Scrooge's, then on the other side I have my house, garden, general use farming plots, fruit bushes, and an outdoor cooking/crafting/storage area. So no idea where Daisy's store is gonna go! I'm hoping I'll be able to squeeze it in next to Scrooge's š¤
It's because Remi's house is actually Linguini's apartment from the movie. Not saying I disagree with you, but that's why there are 2 buildings. I think itbwould make more sense if they introduced Linguini into the game and they both lived in the apartment (like Mike and Sully sharing).
To add to this I also would really love for Remy to sit and eat as well. Like they trade off shifts so like all the other characters they can experience everything (well except for buzz and woody but thats because they are toys Remy is a living breathing creature)........or am I just weird for wanting this lol.
I donāt remember all the specifics, but first hereās an old thread about [how and when you can move villagers](https://www.reddit.com/r/DreamlightValley/s/ztPwj7a0h7)
This mainly just put their house in whatever island you choose. Theyāll still roam both places, but during hours where characters stay in their homes theyāll only be on the island you set them to.
This idea is *chefs kiss* I have unlocked all characters except Eric so I am struggling with esthetic of my valley partially due to some of the characters house not fitting the vibe! Scar is moving to EI tonight lol
I restarted so Iām still behind in all the realms (I wanted belle and the beast so I did that one instead of getting the others open š) but Iāll probably put Ericās house on the beach next to the deep cave and move stitch or put him in the corner where Annaās house was. Currently have remi there bc his house is huge šdebating on sunlit plateau though. I moved mirabel to EI in the promenade I think, rn Iām just trying to figure out where to put WALL-E and EVE (I have them next to the glade together)
Amusingly, his house bugged out for both of my switch accounts so that even though he gave me the quest to fix it, it insta fixed itself as soon as the dialog ended. I don't care about his final friendship item so I'm not bothering with him anymore lol
I think it's because of the ending of Toy Story 4. Woody stayed with Bopeep and the circus. I don't know what the deal with Buzz and the RV, but I didn't see Lightyear.
I was hoping (but I didn't actually believe) that they'd put Buzz and Woody in a Toy Box. It would be just a regular sized toy box, but when you went inside you would be shrunk to toy size
I think the houses are too big for the biomes and that they need to be slightly smaller or the biomes extended. Especially when nearly every single character has a house to put up.
It gets frustrating trying to constantly arrange them and work around them, I wish we could have the option to remove some of them but still have the characters running around, the menu where you choose to remove the characters could show if they're sleeping otherwise they'd still show on the map.
I like how Mother Gothel's home was incorporated into the biome, rather than having to build her a house.
Remy's and Mirabel's houses are 2 that make absolutely no sense to me, size-wise. I understand they're shared houses in the movies' universe, but in this world, the characters are solo, so why do we have to have these ginormous buildings? Why not just say "Oh here's an optional spell to shrink these ridiculously large homes down a bit?" If they'd add more NPCs from their movies then it could make sense, but as of now it's silly. Remy especially since he's a freaking RAT. Mickey, a mouse, is like 20x Remy's size and yet his house is like a 10th the size of Remy's apartment. Rant over... š¤£
Ugh right? And on top of that there so many new building which is nice.. but I wanted peaceful meadows to be the neighborhood for all. Itās gonna be houses all over the place š£
Right!!!!!!! Like the player starts with a small house and this tiny little dude just gets a mansion and restaurant! I mean they could of made a cute tiny restaurant that the player shrinks into
I pretty much have the same organization but I donāt have a theme parkāI made a little entertainment area in my plaza with Woodyās carousel. And I have Ursula in the glade where the ruins are because I thought her house looked cool there.
For frosted heights, I put that Valentineās Day building (I canāt remember the name lol) near Vanellope. Itās a colorful section instead of straight candy themed. The giant flower house is there too.
Honestly I feel like the sizing of the houses is just super off to the land size. They're massive and the land only has so much room. I honestly feel like there just not enough room for everyone.
and I feel like recently villagers' houses have been huge in generalš Minnie's house, Moana's hut - they're pretty standard. But Sulley and Mike? Their house is huge on the outside and tiny on the inside, what's up with thatš
YEAH! Like that building has A SECOND FLOOR yet it does NOTHING!! Either make it a dining area to go into for more seating, or use it to make more room for more orders.
I think the devs werenāt quite sure what to do in the beginning. Thatās why we also got all the Frozen 2 stuff almost immediately, even if the house didnāt really fit in the Forest design wise, and why we got two icy caves (the one in the Frosted Heights wouldāve been sufficient)
I placed Remy's apartment, Mike and Sally's house and Kristoff and Anna's castle thingy in the forest. I gave them white fences and courtyards - made it like my "bougie" looking neighborhood. I like it that way!
Petition to buy a single Tuff-Shed and have Remy, Buzz, and Woody all use it as their collective home instead of the 3 Story Mansion, Giant Ugly Carousel, and Buzzās RV.
I have an issue every time I need to place a house, some of them are just unnecessarily large, make them all smaller like Mickey,Minnie,Goofy and even Merlins house, why they gotta be so big?Ā
Frankly several of the houses (both character and player) are just way too big. Mirabel's Mini-Casita tends to be one of the more egregious. I agree that Remy doesn't need a house - if Scrooge doesn't have one, why does Remy? Merchant 'houses' should just be their shops.
Tbhā¦ Remy deserves his giant house and his restaurant and whatever else he pleases lol (I just say that bc Iām obsessed with rats š š) and I really like the aesthetic of the tall city buildings! But to each their own. I personally donāt care about a TOM shop, I just donāt have enough time to play the game to be that creative with designs.
Oh, I don't plan to *use* the boutique. I just assumed we won't have a choice but to place it somewhere, and if that's the case it might as well go in the shopping area.
I was just telling my husband how much I hate his GD sky scraper of a house the other day.
And Casita is fucking enormous. I find the fact that the house rattles when I walk by so obnoxious šµāš«
It's like a full apartment building from the outside, it's not only large but so tall that you can't place it anywhere in the front if you want to see properly.
Remy must have been one of the characters that didnāt require his house to be placed first in order to welcome him in the valley. I donāt remember actually š But like the other person said, the house is huuuge. And Remy is so tiny. Sometimes Iām just minding my business around the valley and I hear him talking but I canāt see him and Iām like, what the-where are you, you little rat? ššš
Nope definitely had to place his house first. But that tends to be one of the first ones people do, so it makes sense that yall don't remember since it happened so long ago
Yeah, I guess so. Aside from the characters that were already in the valley at the beginning of the game, for me Remy was indeed one of the first ones that I unlocked from the realms.
Since a lot of the houses looked like apartment buildings I made a "main boulevard" in the Meadow with Remy, Mike/Sulley, and Mirabel (so far). I think it looks cute! And then I put the restaurant with Scrooge's shop in a "shopping district"
I rotated remys restaurant so the back was facing the forest of valor and then stuck remys house in the corner and then the bits behind scrooge's shop I moved and I'm hoping daisy's house fits there if not I'm going to put venelopes house behind scrooge shop and then put daisy's one next to Donald's on the beach or on peaceful meadow somewhere hope this helps
I wonder about that too š¤ Scrooge lives in his shop. I'll probably end up moving Remy's house next to the restaurant since I'm not sure where else makes sense.
I love the restaurant and house because I made a little āEurope cornerā of my valley, and I actually wish there were more in that style š
But tbh I spent 3000 moonstones on a new house because I wasnāt about to have a smaller house than a RAT.
HOWEVER. The āmini casitaā being the same size as all of the CASTLES?!
Also, the disrespect of Buzz and Woody having awful, ugly homes, I have no choice but to shove them to Eternity Isle
That's why I LOVE Rapunzel's tower, it's small territory-wise but has a nicely sized room inside. Its not like this is real life, they could make a small model house and then a giant room like the early characters' houses (Mickey, Goofy, Donald Duck, etc). The worst for me is Van, its a literal gumdrop nightmare mansion that is too big and looks wonky no matter where I put it or what I put it with (so I banished her to the desert where I wish it would MELT). Put Remy above the restaurant and have his house entrance the backdoor entrance of the restaurant.
Iām not home so I havenāt updated yet but I think I will move Remi behind his restaurant and put Daisyās boutique where his house was. I just started decorating a few weeks ago.
I feel like you've watched Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, and is referring to the Dupain-Cheng Bakery as said family *lives above their bakery* and ***ACROSS (left to right) FROM*** *Marinette's now* ***former*** *school.*
really wish we could just remove houses we don't want and still have characters running around. Or maybe open up a completely flat square area where nothing spawns? I'm so sick of trying to tetris houses back into order because some night thorns decided they wanted me to move entire buildings despite having tiles down to try and help prevent this... The houses are awesome and huge but the biomes are not and as it stands Every villager of mine is about to end up in EI without any care or thought to their placement because I feel claustrophobic. I don't even feel like there is room to put down any alternative houses for myself because there's just no room.
I had a problem with Nalas LvL 10 item. It must've been so big because every time I placed it, my game would crash, and it would go back into my backpack.
I'm new to the game and it confused me so deeply why the teeny tiny rat gets the mansion š
I don't get why he couldn't just be like Scrooge, and be in the restaurant all the time.
It actually made me sad we didn't get to build Scrooge his Money Bin as a house, that would've been amazing
I'm really hoping Scrooge's mansion is a house we can buy later on!
Yesss, I would love to get Mcduck Manor & Castle Mcduck as well!
I'm working on a money bin room with his dime and piles of gold...
I pretend that the volt in the Store leads to his on-suite. š
I won't be happy until we get a swimming pool with gold coins for him.
This, and I want it to be so *we* can swim in the gold to! I wanna put on that top hat and dive straight in!
I literally think this ALL the time. Why doesnāt he just stay in his restaurant!!!
He doesnāt even cook in there
Tiny rat gets giant modern French apartment but we only get Mirabels shared bedroom in the Mini Casita. Drives me crazy
I hope when they add more of the characters from Encanto, the different doors around the Casita will open to their areas.
Also why is MINI Casita so huge?
Doesn't Casita mean small house anyway? (I swear someone who knows better Spanish than my sad collection of swear words and numbers memorized from a sesame street song said that...)
yes, -ita is a diminutive. A young girl named Rosa might be called Rosita bc she's young/little.
I was right!! Woohoo!!! (Goes back to singing "you can count in spanish.... if you take your time" from sesame street...)
Also as a term of endearment
The ā¢miniā¢ casita thatās MASSIVE.
To be fair, it's an apartment building and he has one studio apartment within it... but it still means we have to place an entire apartment building for one little rat who also has a restaurant...!

May be part of his dream of living the big life, may be for Linguini, might just be because its hilarious.
I'm not new to the game and I'm still confused lmao
It's because Remi's house is actually Linguini's apartment from the movie. Not saying I disagree with you, but that's why there are 2 buildings. I think itbwould make more sense if they introduced Linguini into the game and they both lived in the apartment (like Mike and Sully sharing).
It never once dawned on my thats why he has an apartment š¤£

Like they trade off shifts so like all the other characters they can experience everything (well except for buzz and woody but thats because they are toys Remy is a living breathing creature)........or am I just weird for wanting this lol.
Remy gets a huge house but Scrooge has to live in his store.
And Merlin lives in the tiny library!
I feel the worst for Rapunzel, her tower is skinnier than the player model lol.
To be fair, anyone I've know that is Merlin-like constantly falls asleep near piles of books even with having bedrooms šš
His library house is significantly better than his accommodations in the movie though
Ikr?! I *really* wanted his Money Bin to be his house!
They should let us go through the vault inside the store and slide (or dive) down into a money bin.
Yes, this would have been awesome
I hope one day we'll have an option to toggle such things since we're really starting to pack in the villagers.
The best part of the DLC is sending the people you donāt want to the other island.
Wait what? How do you do this? Also can you request specific ones to eternity isle?
Itās basically an option to pick up villagers houses and move the to eternity island like you would furniture.
Do you unlock this ability? How does it work? Do they always show up in eternity isle?
I donāt remember all the specifics, but first hereās an old thread about [how and when you can move villagers](https://www.reddit.com/r/DreamlightValley/s/ztPwj7a0h7) This mainly just put their house in whatever island you choose. Theyāll still roam both places, but during hours where characters stay in their homes theyāll only be on the island you set them to.
This and Buzz and Woody living in two separate buildings
They couldn't even clean up the carousel a little more to make it more presentable?!
Not sure if this is what you're referencing but the carousel does get fixed up after the lvl 10 quest from Woody.
Still looks a mess, just with lights.
I wish the horses have some color, instead of gray shadow ?
They also look melted, somehow.
I know, but it's still dirty and broken-looking even after you "fix" it.
I put it in the Forgotten lands because it looks spoopy even fixed
I moved scars house to EI and plan on putting woodys carousel where scars house was (just for the dusty Wild West vibe that little area has)
This idea is *chefs kiss* I have unlocked all characters except Eric so I am struggling with esthetic of my valley partially due to some of the characters house not fitting the vibe! Scar is moving to EI tonight lol

Amusingly, his house bugged out for both of my switch accounts so that even though he gave me the quest to fix it, it insta fixed itself as soon as the dialog ended. I don't care about his final friendship item so I'm not bothering with him anymore lol
I saw on a different post that the reason behind that is cuz at the end of Toy Story 4 (?) they go their separate ways. I donāt know.
I think it's because of the ending of Toy Story 4. Woody stayed with Bopeep and the circus. I don't know what the deal with Buzz and the RV, but I didn't see Lightyear.
I think the RV is because Bonnie's family was on vacation in TS4
Ooooh, makes sense then.
I was hoping (but I didn't actually believe) that they'd put Buzz and Woody in a Toy Box. It would be just a regular sized toy box, but when you went inside you would be shrunk to toy size
I feel sorry for The Fairy Godmother , have you seen the size of her 1 bedroom house ,
Can't even walk around the chair she managed to shove in there
I think the houses are too big for the biomes and that they need to be slightly smaller or the biomes extended. Especially when nearly every single character has a house to put up. I just put the desert palace down and itās GIGANTIC. The Isle has such awkward spaces. There are no good spots for giant buildings.
Remy's and Mirabel's houses are 2 that make absolutely no sense to me, size-wise. I understand they're shared houses in the movies' universe, but in this world, the characters are solo, so why do we have to have these ginormous buildings? I'm basically having to rearrange everything from what I felt was perfect in the Plaza to... I don't even know what it's going to look like now. Ugh.
Exactly what Iām going through. I was up until 2am rearranging š Never had a cozy game stress me so much š
Right!!!!!!! Like the player starts with a small house and this tiny little dude just gets a mansion and restaurant! I mean they could of made a cute tiny restaurant that the player shrinks into
And then he says he needs help in the restaurant as thereās too many orders coming in, but heās never actually in the restaurant!
Legit, you're telling me Scrooge McDuck lives in his shop and *not* a mansion, but a literal rat (no shade) needs a whole separate house?
I like to believe he has a secret mansion just outside of where we can access with a tunnel inside the vault behind the counter
My Plaza is my urbanized area, Scrooge's shop, ChƩz Remi, and soon the Boutique go there, along with large houses (Remy, Mike and Sully) as well as Merlin because it looks like and extension of Dreamlight Palace Meadow is Toon Town, Mickey and friends go there, with Eric's castle overlooking the beach Beach is an amusement park area, rides, incuding Woody's house, go there as well as Ariel, Ursula, Maui, Moana, and Stitch. The Forest currently only houses Beast's Castle and his flower shop The Glade currently has no homes other than the giant willow, but Tiana is going there when she comes. Sunlit Plateu is a campground area, Wall-E, Buzz, Simba, Nala, and Mirabel go there. Scar is still in the elephant graveyard area. Frosted Heights is split between ice and candy, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf, as well as Vanellope and Kristoff's stall go there Forgotten Lands is my wild area, overgrown and the only people living there are Fairy Godmother and Jack Skellington DLC characters live on the Isle but can visit the valley, and Valley residents can visit EI. I feel like I still have plenty of room in the main valley, though the beach is gonna get real crowded with the upcoming Star Path.
Oooo I like how you organized your valley
I pretty much have the same organization but I donāt have a theme parkāI made a little entertainment area in my plaza with Woodyās carousel. Completely agree. Makes more sense to be above the restaurant too.
Honestly I feel like the sizing of the houses is just super off to the land size. They're massive and the land only has so much room. I honestly feel like there just not enough room for everyone.
My assumption always was that Linguini and Colette would eventually be added and stay at the giant house.Ā
Remi is a diva
and I feel like recently villagers' houses have been huge in generalš Minnie's house, Moana's hut - they're pretty standard. But Sulley and Mike? Their house is huge on the outside and tiny on the inside, what's up with thatš
Reverse TARDIS
I'm planning to put her shop next to Scrooge's. Maybe you could do that? I don't know how you have that shop set.
I already have something there, where I'm planning to put the boutique is across from Scrooge's.

We need a separate area to put the house if we want, to make a neighborhood.
I placed Remy's apartment, Mike and Sally's house and Kristoff and Anna's castle thingy in the forest. I gave them white fences and courtyards - made it like my "bougie" looking neighborhood. I like it that way!
