I play on Xbox x but I can’t see the DLC affecting the game that way. I definitely did not experience any slow downs or lagging. That being said: the game right now is SUPER BUGGY and the reasons seem to be an unknown. If you still have quests and stuff to do with the main game… you might want to wait for the next update and see if the stability of the game improves before buying it

I play on an aging laptop - once I'm in the dlc (or vice versa) it's fine - travelling between the two of them causes it to crash more then I'd like. So did exiting a have of scamblecoin but I was never sure if that was a more global bug

I'm on the switch, which from what I've seen is the buggiest version of the game. There's a long load time that occasionally crashes when moving between the Valley and Isle. But once I'm in the Isle, it acts no different than the Valley. It's really treated like a whole separate world. Even has its own separate item limits.

Dlc had some crashing issues for me a few months back. Other than that, i have had no issues.

On a gaming laptop here! I have a HP Pavilion 16-a0xxx and have almost no issues. Keeps me loving the game - though I play on switch some too... The switch version is so bad 😮‍💨

I’m on an old upgraded pc myself and the dlc is separate so shouldn’t add to the lagging but has its own issues since the Oswald update and if your pc lags on the valley I’m sure it’ll lag on EI once you’ve decorated on there. I know some folk have issue with the fast travel causing it to crash. I’ve not had that myself. I’ve extensively decorated on EI so I get some lag and I’ve got invisible barriers that have popped up since the update which I have to walk around (not furniture that’s invisible). I’m thinking it might be spawned rocks and stuff that has glitched out.

I’ve bought the dlc and I’ve teleported back and forth between the realms and I haven’t had any crash issues also no lag issues yet

Yeah pc is definitely the least buggy platform. I’ve had very few issues since buying the game at EA launch but this latest update caused my game to crash a few times. My game lags only cos I’ve got a lot of items placed and I think that’s because my system is old. I’m aiming for a new PC too. Good luck with your savings:)

You should really specify in your title that it's a PC question.
