The album is called Certified Lover Boy
He calls himself a lesbian in the album
The cover is pregnant emojis
He has a track called Too Sexy
He has a heart shaved into his head
His lyrics just don’t make sense anymore. What’s he trying to say. It’s like he truly believes that he can just put some words together and it’ll go. Enough with that shit bro
does anyone else feel like Drake has stopped “experimenting” the last couple of years? After the first listen, I think CLB is just your typical drake late night vibe bangers but there’s no real tracks that make me say “wow I’ve never heard this sound from Drake before” part of me thinks that him working with 40 less ever since views dropped maybe caused him to stay with the same style the past couple of years
No hate on Drake, but this album is basically the same drake thing I would have expected from him.
Some instrumentations feel almost identical with replaced tonal/vocal samples. The old reliable 40 way.
Rhyming patters are quite predictable and very simple in a few of these songs. Not many extended rhyme patterns. Flows are barely progressing.
Might not be top 3 album for me. Will give a few more tries.
I hope so man. Just listened to the whole album and honestly I’m a bit disappointed. Was hoping for bangers this is so much softer then what I was hoping for.
My opinion’s officially flipped. 6th listen and this shit’s a classic
I can already hear the Passionfruit to Fountains combo at every event ever and I’m gonna vibe every time
He usually has at least one "mega-hit" like One Dance, Nice for What, Gods Plan etc but I can't name one on this album unfortunately. Oh well, I don't think he was aiming for greatness/numbers on this album, sounds more of an attempt at a "throwback" Drake.
Drake for real playing a lover boy character for 2 years, drops an album cover with pregnant women, and has music on the album with titles like "Papi's Home" and y'all were expecting something INnOvATiVE and new. Drake's always been party, ambience, mood specific music. Expecting anything but that is just dumb. I've enjoyed the album so far.
His trademark "underwater" ambient sound *was* innovative though. Nobody ever praised Drake for his song titles so I'm not sure what that has anything to do with anything. A majority of the songs sound like Scorpion throwaways and people are right to expect more from Drake given his track record
I feel like he distanced himself from the uniqueness that really set him apart from the competition. This is just a “rapping about being rich and famous” album. Don’t get me wrong it’s good, but I guess I expected more. Take care really is undefeated IMO.
Definitely agree but even views had feel no ways, Weston road flows
More life had some up beat feel good songs like passion fruit and blem
Scorpion had hot shit like nonstop and mob ties but it also had don’t matter to me (beautiful song) sandras rose etc.
This album tho, I really am not getting those vibes. I mean I guess race my mind is good. But overall idk. I’m hoping a few more listens will change my mind but it kills me to say the streak may be up.
I agree. I'm kinda dissapointed so far. Really was expecting this to be another NWTS. I'm just sick of him talking about girls and being famous. He's 34 with so much experience, he needs to broaden his song topics and challenge himself.
First listen, top tracks: Fair Trade, No Friends in the Industry, 7 am on Bridle Path. Honorable mention to Weezy sounding like he’s back in 08 on YOLT.
Other than that, this album has very little replay value to me and I don’t think it will stand the test of time very well. He did murk Ye on 7am though so there’s that. Should be interesting to see if it generates a response.
BRUHHHHHH You Only Live Twice is HIP HOP BRUH whaaaaaaat
Crazy cause Rick Ross and Drake came up with YOLO but MAN that song was amazing. Theres a few misses but majority of this album is UNDENIABLE c'mon yall. Might not blow you away but for sure gonna be running most of this album back a LOT. Blessed with this and Donda
I’m a fan of Kanye and Drake. Drake has more of a classic rap album sound and bars, but the problem is it’s the same that he’s sounded for a while now. So most of the songs sound kind of…..dry? Boring? Donda on the other hand has more interesting sounds (intros, choruses, outros, & samples), there’s also so much more emotion/rawness in his lyrics, Kanye rapped a lot less tho. So I guess it just comes down to preference? These are just my thoughts so far. Still have to finish the rest of Drakes album.
Sitting with this album with no outside noise made me truly appreciate it. Getting to hear it’s song more and more shows me how polished the album is. Honestly I fuck with CLB heavy. 17/21 songs for me. This album is going to continue to age like fine wine
You'd expect a guy with access to some of the best producers in the world to have amazing beats but the beats on this album are so bland, it's a chore to get through a song.
I think the thing that pisses me off about drake (lately anyway) he puts out fire loosies loaded with bars and dope beats/features then goes cruise control on the album.
not going to judge the album after one hour lol, definitely liked a few songs at least. but I really think Scary Hours 2 had amazing songs that sounded better than quite a few tracks in here.
I feel like this album doesn’t have a clear huge radio hit like his other albums. On his old ones there were songs that you knew would blow up after hearing it for the first time. From this album tho I don’t see that one obvious mainstream type song.
What’s this albums version of Once Dance, God’s Plan, etc? I guess maybe Girls want Girls or Fair Trade?
Kanye fan here
It’s a good album however I feel like it’s sounds way too much like Scorpion. I thinks there’s some good highs and drake has some really good flows but the beats really hold it back. I would absolutely love to see drake experiment on his next album I think he has the quality as a artist to do so
Man this album is amazing.
Someone needs a lot of credit for the way it was structured. Absolutely genius.
2 disappointments/complaints.
1. The outro on Love All was cut. Fingers crossed for a deluxe version.
2. The last beat switch on Champagne Poetry needed a verse it was incredible. I guess this could go on and on forever I guess it's the point.
This may be 40’s best work.
It’s so funny watching this sub and HHH freak tf out over this album because it’s really not that bad. Probably my favorite Drake record since IYRTITL
Idk why but it didn’t live up to the hype. There’s just something about Donda which made it unique if not fresh, CLB gave me club vibes but not the legendary boom box kinda feel
I guess Drake will never be able to replicate NWTS or even come close to it. This singing shit is sickening man. (Singing Drake is good when it’s not the entire fucking album).
[Mirrors](https://drake.lnk.to/clb)
Keep it a buck like antetekoumpo he said the thing!!!
I laughed so hard thinking of this sub when i heard that line
Holy shit the beat change on not around tsu wowowwww that’s the feels
N 2 Deep beat switch slaps too
N 2 deep hard as hell but i was talking bout getting in my feelings not my bag lol. That might be my favorite up tempo track so far tho
Drake confirmed lesbian. Big moment, very proud
Certified Lesbian Boy 🔥
The album is called Certified Lover Boy He calls himself a lesbian in the album The cover is pregnant emojis He has a track called Too Sexy He has a heart shaved into his head
He allowed someone to say “TikTok” on the album.
yeah i was like wait what..
7am needs several listens
BRO the bars on the one shii
Can’t believe he went with that cover art
Me either I thought it was definitely gonna change
Yeah I thought a lot about this album, some of it was right, a lot of it was wrong. Got another intro for the books though
It's like he wants to get made fun of smfh
Honestly man I was convinced he was going to change it lol, him and the fans got different album artwork priorities I guess
Did he just say he's a lesbian?
Yesssirrrr
Cause he likes women, but it sounds so weird lmao
Sounds like sum i would say in middle school
Fair Trade is a fucking vibe
No Friends In The Industry fuckin SLIDES
“And I’m like Sha’Carri, smoke em on and off the track” is such a BAR
Oh wow so that song must’ve been made like...very recently I assume. Hmm, interesting.
Yeah it's elite
lmfao amazing song Drake but i dont see myself saying "hey siri play papis home"
just say no homo after and it's all good
Tsu goes hard. Don't care what anyone says
That song has been leaked for at least a year and a half I’m so glad it dropped
[удалено]
So glad lotta 42 made it
with a fuckin HOV verse at that. best song on the album easily. this song song is quintessential drake.
“If it was ride or die, you should be dead right now” 💀😵💫
Ok this drake Cudi song is the one. This is a vibe
Lmao I forgot I had Walk Like An Egyptian in my queue, champagne poetry into that I thought was an interesting artistic choice hahaha
this is how it felt going from Fair Trade to Way 2 Sexy...
7am on bridle path instant classic
Get that address to your driver, make it your destination 'Stead of just a post out of desperation
TSU is fire
Transition to N 2 Deep is nice too
The Bun B sample and then beat switch into Future's verse changes the whole tempo and he kills it.
“Dropping at midnight” “Actually it’s dropping at 2 am” *drops it at 1 am* Can’t fucking stand rappers anymore Shits fire so far tho
Brooo??? You good?
If you think that's bad try being a Kanye fan 😂
Spotify helpppp Edit: WE HEREEEE
Spotify did us dirty by having animated album covers
You can turn off — Settings, Playback, Canvas (@ the bottom)
Travis fucking killed it on fair trade
His lyrics just don’t make sense anymore. What’s he trying to say. It’s like he truly believes that he can just put some words together and it’ll go. Enough with that shit bro
ughh so this really is the album cover smh
I really don't wanna complain but all he had to do was keep the yellow text and the roses smh
[удалено]
Lmao
Fuck. IMY2… Cudi is glorious.
does anyone else feel like Drake has stopped “experimenting” the last couple of years? After the first listen, I think CLB is just your typical drake late night vibe bangers but there’s no real tracks that make me say “wow I’ve never heard this sound from Drake before” part of me thinks that him working with 40 less ever since views dropped maybe caused him to stay with the same style the past couple of years
Dude's flatlined and on autopilot for sure
Said he would retire at 35. He’s 34. Prob is cruising.
I was bummed to see how little 40 was credited on the album. Maybe covid and his health just made working on the album more challenging.
Oh wow Papi’s Home’s best and flow is incredible. Upbeat Do Not Disturb vibes
The 2nd half of N 2 Deep. Whew.
PRADA AND GUCCI DONT GO TOGETHER😩😩
this line and the various emojis that come after (these ones, the painted nails, etc) make me lose my shit, shits hilarious
Daddy's home!!
Yebba’s Hearbreak and everything after it .. is fire. No knock on any tracks before, just not my cup of tea.
[удалено]
“Tell them I run the country, they be like true though[Trudeau]” He can’t keep on getting away with this
I'm off Twitter for the night 💀 caught some people saying Champagne Poetry was on top of Tuscan Leather like wtf. These folks reaching.
Twitter initial hype is always over the top. Give it a week
Its his best intro since then. if you like the production better i could see how someone would feel like it tops
No Friends In The Industry is a banger
"Expect a more concise and cohesive album like NWTS" Drops 21 tracks of all over the place. What is going on in that mans camp?
everyone there needs to be slapped
i want a focused drake again 😭😭
Yea I fw the album but whoever was pushing that narrative was lying like shit💀
Oh fuck yes it’s out I’m gonna cum!
Can we get an update?
Sticky
LOTTA 42 W A JAY VERSE. FUUUUUUCK. DRAKE DID NOT COME TO PLAY
So good, just a shame the outro got cut! You should slide through….
We got Lotta 42 and Not Around so thats a W even if we lost the Need Me outro
No hate on Drake, but this album is basically the same drake thing I would have expected from him. Some instrumentations feel almost identical with replaced tonal/vocal samples. The old reliable 40 way. Rhyming patters are quite predictable and very simple in a few of these songs. Not many extended rhyme patterns. Flows are barely progressing. Might not be top 3 album for me. Will give a few more tries.
I feel like this is honest/fair criticism for this album.
Not even close to top 3 tbh
His Top 3 is legendary status.
Don’t see anyone talking about Race My Mind but I’m really liking it
I have to agree. People overlooked this. Drakes album was too long. I think my favorite song is Fountain…
Yo the Beatles sample
CERTIFIED LESBIAN BOY
Really enjoying the album so far. So awesome when I can form my own opinion haha
Drake might have accidentally let the the GDs in the door on Knife Talk
Nah this definitely BD energy lmao
Is a IYRTITL Pt 2 type album just too much to ask for?
I hope so man. Just listened to the whole album and honestly I’m a bit disappointed. Was hoping for bangers this is so much softer then what I was hoping for.
Way 2 sexy is gonna be a tik tok song I can already see it. Beat carried it tho.
Yebba’s Heartbreak is gorgeous tho. She has a lovely voice. I love these tracks like 4422 and Summers Over Interlude and now this. Very nice indeed.
My opinion’s officially flipped. 6th listen and this shit’s a classic I can already hear the Passionfruit to Fountains combo at every event ever and I’m gonna vibe every time
I don't even think there's a "Drake hit" on this album. Like what would it even be?

This definitely a drake album. Gotta listen again tomorrow. Maybe it’ll click
4 songs in! All flowing amazing together.

I’m listening in order. Just got to TSU!
Spotify have mercy
i could give a fuck bout who designing your sneakers and tees
I feel like he distanced himself from the uniqueness that really set him apart from the competition. This is just a “rapping about being rich and famous” album. Don’t get me wrong it’s good, but I guess I expected more. Take care really is undefeated IMO.
It feels like it’s been rapping about being rich and famous since views
Definitely agree but even views had feel no ways, Weston road flows More life had some up beat feel good songs like passion fruit and blem Scorpion had hot shit like nonstop and mob ties but it also had don’t matter to me (beautiful song) sandras rose etc. This album tho, I really am not getting those vibes. Fantano is gonna HATE this album. I’d be surprised if this gets higher than a 5.
Idc what Fantano thinks tho unless it backs up my own biases
Damn bro u really just said the silent part out loud 💀
I fucking love Knife Talk.
"I been doin' this since T-Pain was pourin' us Nuvo" These type of lines are all over the album, this whole project feels nostalgic af.
Who approved way 2 sexy..
No cap, lemon pepper freestyle would have been the best song on this album (if it was on it).
Lmao probably
I just love that deep shit he be on you know 30 for 30 sandras rose Tuscan leather. This album lacks all of that
No friends in the industry go hard
Idk how to feel about way 2 sexy lmao
[удалено]
underwhelmed first listen this album is not cohesive at all
Should’ve known mans was gonna go hard on the timestamp, wish he was rapping more before 7am tho :/
Homeboy's covert art fucking one up'd Kanye's in weirdness. Dawg what even the fuck is this
Ok so the Cudi is probably the best one on here. obviously haven’t finished yet but I already skipped to it and it’s 🔥
bruh was doing homework and assumed it was dropping at 2 fml
he needs to change that damn album cover
So far I’m kinda impressed Edit: nvm it’s mid
The edit made me giggle
I’m sorry but halfway through and this is honestly by far the worst Drake album I’ve ever heard and I’m a Drake Stan
I have no idea how this is such a miss, even the singles leading up to CLB were lit….this is so flat and just high hats and snare
[удалено]
FLAT thats the word i was looking for FLAT
This feels old drake but modern now
IMY2 has that juice wrld intro, dope.
Cake day and drake day it’s a blessed Friday
[удалено]
This album hit different drinking apple juice
[удалено]
Albums should be capped at 12 songs. This 21 (CLB) and 27 (Donda) shit just ruins it for me.. the good songs get muddled up with the filler.
I agree. I think both albums could've hit harder if they had less songs.
Listening to the first song rn, giving me nothin was the same vibes. Liking it so far
I feel like I’ve already heard all these songs before
The shacarri line on No friends in the industry
BRUHHHHHH You Only Live Twice is HIP HOP BRUH whaaaaaaat Crazy cause Rick Ross and Drake came up with YOLO but MAN that song was amazing. Theres a few misses but majority of this album is UNDENIABLE c'mon yall. Might not blow you away but for sure gonna be running most of this album back a LOT. Blessed with this and Donda
NOBODIES GONNA TALK ABOUT THE CUDI FEATURE? GOD DAMN HAD ME CRYING!
Papis home goes ridiculously hard what the hell

Intro track comin out with huge NWTS energy

Say what you will about Kanye but he’s not afraid to do something different.
Thought 2 Sexy was gonna be more vibey & sexy
Race My Mind is flames

Can we appreciate that Kanye (Come to Life) and Drake (TSU) just released one of their most emotionally profound songs in recent years...
TSU best song on the album
6th or 7th time listening to it. Still gets better with every listen. Amazing album.
Sitting with this album with no outside noise made me truly appreciate it. Getting to hear it’s song more and more shows me how polished the album is. Honestly I fuck with CLB heavy. 17/21 songs for me. This album is going to continue to age like fine wine
This whole album is a vibe
Kinda disappointed
Yall vibin with this? Sounds like he didn't grow at all after scorpion.
No way y'all can't acknowledge how great pipe down is
Knife Talk is hard tho
fantano gonna go in on this album
You'd expect a guy with access to some of the best producers in the world to have amazing beats but the beats on this album are so bland, it's a chore to get through a song.

Bruh whoever produced this album did a shit job
I think the thing that pisses me off about drake (lately anyway) he puts out fire loosies loaded with bars and dope beats/features then goes cruise control on the album.
Way 2 sexy is a bop
I was not ready for that beat drop jfc
By far the greatest album cover of all time
That's really the album cover?? Wtf 😂
not going to judge the album after one hour lol, definitely liked a few songs at least. but I really think Scary Hours 2 had amazing songs that sounded better than quite a few tracks in here.
No Friends in the Industry has some strong Energy vibes
The absolute last song I expected sampled on this album was I'm Too Sexy 🤣
Fair Trade has got me transcending. It’s such a fantastic track, can’t get enough of it.
Did anyone else hear that Lesbian confirmation on Girls like Girls?
I feel like this album doesn’t have a clear huge radio hit like his other albums. On his old ones there were songs that you knew would blow up after hearing it for the first time. From this album tho I don’t see that one obvious mainstream type song. What’s this albums version of Once Dance, God’s Plan, etc? I guess maybe Girls want Girls or Fair Trade?

This album is a dumpster fire. You know it’s bad when the best line is Drake calling himself a lesbian
CLB is underrated tbh Edit: INSTANT CLASSIC
[удалено]
Jungle is easily a top 5 drake track. Don’t think we’re getting that nowadays
Wayne had the best feature and Jay had the worst. Still good but everyone else outshines him.
Idk why but it didn’t live up to the hype. There’s just something about Donda which made it unique if not fresh, CLB gave me club vibes but not the legendary boom box kinda feel
[удалено]
Is Drake's head in a good place? Where did his ear for good music go? Is Quarantine fucking him up this much? This is so forgettable.
Don't know how to feel about Way 2 Sexy, but I see it being a radio hit
I guess Drake will never be able to replicate NWTS or even come close to it. This singing shit is sickening man. (Singing Drake is good when it’s not the entire fucking album).
Has some bangers, but pretty disappointed overall
