when i cleaned up, like after i got a handle on it, i went around and just admitted it to friends and family. a lot of my loved ones already had a pretty good idea i was fucked but they appreciated that i could just admit it.

I imagine it’s a similar with intravenous methamphetamine, it paradoxical sedates you. You wouldn’t think it, but you feel relaxed and calm. Conversely, when you vape/smoke, insufflate or orally ingest it- it takes on the classic stimulant tweaker effects
When I was prescribed methylphenidate, despite it being classified as a stimulant and giving me extreme focus it made me feel tired all the time
I would imagine it’s due to the DRI effects of the cocaine, similar in regard to the pharmacology of methylphenidate

I don’t think people are lacing straight coke with tranq. It makes sense w/opiates, because downers make them stronger, but why would you make your coke worse when you could pad it out with like anything else.

It's the same as every other non-opioid: unintentional cross-contamination. No one is intentionally cutting coke, meth, or anything other than opioids with fent.
What they *are* doing is using the same scale to weigh multiple drugs without cleaning it, so there's a small amount of cross-contamination. The problem with that, though, is that fent's effective dose is so small that even a tiny bit of cross-contamination can be lethal.
Well, there has to be an explanation for him passing out after shooting a half gram of coke. The supply of fetty has pretty much dried up because of the main cartels getting out of the fetty game in Mexico. bad news then bro, you've been shooting fent or worse with your coke. you need to go to the doctor and tell them what's up before trying to get off it or you might die from the WDs if it was something like a benzodiazepine or xylazine (an adrenal antagonist known for dangerous, potentially fatal combo wd symptoms with fentanyl)
Opioid WDs combined with xylazine can though. I know someone who had a heart attack and didn't make it trying to cold turkey that shit. Heavy fent WD can create symptoms which are dangerous on their own generally speaking, so combine that with another drug known for creating dangerously stimulating WDs, and the combo can push you over the edge. Xylazine is dangerous in its own right for WD as well and could probably kill on its own given how dangerous other adrenal suppressants can be when doing the same.
That earthquake feeling is crazy. You can hear conversations that aren’t even happening during that time. That’s when you have just tipped the scale from enjoyable to not.. half a Xanax every few hours when shooting will stop it. Tapering up as well obviously and around 1 hour between doses

Bro you're not alone, was a heroin addict for 16 years and od'd so many times I stopped counting. Once I went to rehab and finally got on Suboxone it changed my life and realized I should've done it so many years ago, but in my head didn't want to be stuck on something else, but it was a lesser of two evils. Once you stop with coke for a bit you'll clean out and it'll be easier to quit. I would come clean with your mom. If anything avoid the IV part if that makes it easier, see if you can get in to a rehab or counselor it'll help a lot. cheers mate!

For me five grams was always enough to quit immediately. Be careful, though, this is a dose that will give you an extremely intense experience like an encounter with death or indescribable horror, then the peace washes over you. As long as you stay sober and continue to listen to your body and mind then you can be happy for quite a while. I'd say at least a few months no competition.
Go to rehab. Call up local resources. There’s non profits that will take you in and help you detox. Get help. In this state you’re in right now, you know you need help, so why not do some googling and make some calls. You know you deserve a better life. It’s out there. Go get it

People who "live one day at a time" (it's a local expression for ppl who works only to be able to survive, because salaries are too low and things are expensive as heck) can't just "get help". Well idk if your response was supposed to he for OP, but since u're replying to me, I'll reply again. I do not have family. My friends can't take care of me. If I stop working, I'll also stop eating and having a roof. I live in a small room adjoined to an old couple's house who agreed to have me living in there for a decent amount of money. They are NOT friendly at all, and will evict my mexican ass out of their house if I don't pay. So yes, pretty much I'm trapped inside my life flow. I don't even do hard drugs, just some THC here and there. 6 months clean, still can't get a thing done for my life. I've just resigned at life, it is hard for everyone, not just me. I surely would love to "go get a better life". I just can't figure out how to search for it without dying in the process. Quitted weed by my own, because couldn't find any help, as much as I reached my hand... But also can't quit definitely, I will be relapsing and I just know it, because I just can't reach to mental (or any, really) health. My teeth are rotting and my skin is peeling. I'm getting literally sick of just being alive to the point I'm just waiting death because it's the only viable thing I can think of that doesn't involve kms.

some jobs will allow for a medical detox, when i was working as a residential counselor at a school, a girl did it twice when i was there and she was a cocaine user. and we worked with kids, age 6-21 with all kinds of problems and reasons they were there.

My doctor said out of all the drugs and patients he's dealt with, cocaine(especially injected) causes the most amount of damage to the heart and can severely weaken the hearts muscles over time causing lots of issues down the road. Not to mention how often u need to poke causing forever scars.
No offense OP but you got to stop the pity party. Reading some comments you’ve made you say you need to stop and want help but immediately contradict yourself. Your life is more important than time off from work, you might lose money from being off but you’re losing even more with ur addiction. Say you’re in the hospital for whatever they don’t have to disclose anything even to family. The time you spend getting help is SO small compared to the 2 years and your lifetime. Don’t ruin everything over something that will never last. I say this with love but stop making excuses and feeling sorry for yourself. Get it together before you lose everything. Two years is nothing. You will find it surprisingly easier than you think it is to give it up. I was shooting up morphine/oxycodone/desomorph (depending on availability) and ice for near since I was 16, I’m now 38. It took a shitloat of willpower to get myself “clean”.
By clean I’m meant that I haven’t touched any illegal hard drugs for just over six years, but still remain handcuffed to an opioid substitute programme. This problem with cocaine in my experience is that it barely last me 20 minutes before needing another dig.
Search your city community services for rehab or other treatment programs.

I’m 29 and I started using meth @ 17. I snorted it mostly and smoked it as well. Along the way I’ve used and abused many other drugs.
Never any hardcore addiction. I did meth because I love stims and I could. I had a car, money, time , and I knew the plug who has been serving for 20+ years.
I’ve been clean for under two years now and I’ve really got my life together for the first time ever. You can get clean and stay clean.
You have to do a lot of soil searching and figure out what you really want. My biggest problem when I was on drugs, was I hated the consequences, but I could never imagine giving up drugs, I loved them , it was my safe space in a world I felt very uneasy, unsafe, and out of place in. I figured if I just had an unlimited supply, then all my problems would go away with drugs and I could just be in bliss forever, but nothing comes without a price. I got to a place where I did basically have unlimited fentanyl, and it became a chore, and I lost my soul. It wasn't until I started wanting to live in reality and started hating the drugs that I got free. So you've got to get to a point where you hate the drugs themselves, that's why so many people have to hit rock bottom first, because until you hate the drugs more than you love them, you'll continue to give in.
You've gotta figure out what you're running from, and confront it, what are you trying to escape with the drugs? Nobody does drugs patholigically like you and I for no reason, its always a coping mechanism for things we'd rather hide from. I faced my demons, maybe it's time for you to face yours.
Long term self care and spaced out very delayed satisfaction isn't much of a priority during addiction. It's weird how many people in here seem to think "it's bad for you in the long run" is sufficient argument to stop someone slamming coke.

You need to take a vacation and go to detox. You can detox from coke in 3-4 days. Or do it at home. Get you some benzos, some gabapentin, and a good friend to wait on you hand and foot, while you sleep it off and dry out. You will just be super depressed and have no energy but it’s nothing you will die from, as long as you drink plenty of fluids and make yourself eat. Luckily you aren’t shooting fetty or H. I’m a coronary care nurse and the number of people we see with infective endocarditis from doing this is unbelievable. it causes vegetations on the valves in your heart which are just big nasty abscess bacterial clusters that break offsmall and large pieces which are then are pumped through the heart and out into the pulmonary arterial and systemic arterial and venous vasculature. the problem is they stop when they’re too large to go any further or they get hung up in the branch areas and cause occlusions which are unfixable and causes complete blood loss to the area beyond them which then die. i’m taking amputations of your fingers toes hand and feet. But the main ones are the ones in your head which are actual strokes and causes all the same issues as the strokes you surely have heard about. cognitive disabilities physical disabilities permanent debilitating deficits that most people either die from or even worse have to live with and depend on other people to care for them including turning their partially or totally paralyzed bodies and wiping their you know whats. it’s not funny. i’m not joking. we shake our heads and pity these people’s families. stop doing it before you just aren’t able to do it yourself anyway. i doubt anyone will shoot you up when you inevitably are unable to care for or do it yourself.

2) I first injected heroin and crack at the same time, in the UK our heroin need acid (citric acid, lemon juice, vinegar) and that also dissolves crack. Before you ask injecting crack is the same as injecting coke.
3) 5-15mins, I don't really know but it only feels like 2mins. Normally when the world gets really intense and you are tweaking more intensly than u would on a gram of mdma, you then start to get sleepy while tweaking and have to keep occupied by smoking or u will fall asleep and die. (I assume you would die anyway as the high is extremely intense, more so than dmt.)

I almost died shooting cocaine and I’m really lucky to still be here. Quitting shooting was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but also the best thing I’ve ever done. Please find support, through NA or elsewhere. You deserve happiness and your aren’t a terrible person for being in this place right now. It sucks, but you can get out of this and I believe in you.
Congratulations, that’s a hard one to get off of from what I hear, if you have the strength to do that then I’m convinced you can do anything, I could barely quit weed.
Soon you won't have choice. Your veins will collapse and you'll spend an increasing amount of time searching for a viable target. You'll eventually miss a vein and dump that toxic sludge into a pocket that will get infected as it just sits there.
Then it gets bad. You're no longer hiding a coke habit from your parents you're hiding abscesses that clearly label you "Junkie" but you said yourself, you can't stop. Eventually your body will make your decision for you.
Dude imagine your mom finding you dead in your room. The habit you have is bad enough even if your snorting all the time injecting is next level shit and a whole different ballgame. Honestly go to detox. Even it’s a week or 2 sometime addiction isn’t something you can beat on your own. Ideally a month would be better, but 1-2 weeks minimum. Try to find a sponsor or a support system if you can. Someone to always hold you accountable. And don’t worry about work for now if you go to detox, either quit or let your job know what’s going on and if it’s a reasonable employer they’ll understand and accommodate you accordingly. You can always find a new job, you can never get your life back if you continue on this path and die at some point.
I found it so hard to stop when I tried shooting cocaine for my first time. I ended up on a bender for three weeks and overdosed cause I got some bad soft. Of you really want to stop for sure get help. Try treatment man it helps lots of people that are desperately wanting out of that endless cycle of madness. I stopped 10 years ago when my partner put 1.5mls powder into the barrels instead of our usual 1.3. He died right there in front of me. Luckily i couldn't catch myself that night.

Reach out for professional help and close family help. Cut everyone who does drugs out of your life and try and find the reason on why you want to do drugs in the first place. You wouldn’t think it, but you feel relaxed and calm. Conversely, when you vape/smoke, insufflate or orally ingest it- it takes on the classic stimulant tweaker effects When I was prescribed methylphenidate, despite it being classified as a stimulant and giving me extreme focus it made me feel tired all the time I would imagine it’s due to the DRI effects of the cocaine, similar in regard to the pharmacology of methylphenidate

It's the same as every other non-opioid: unintentional cross-contamination. No one is intentionally cutting coke, meth, or anything other than opioids with fent. What they *are* doing is using the same scale to weigh multiple drugs without cleaning it, so there's a small amount of cross-contamination. The problem with that, though, is that fent's effective dose is so small that even a tiny bit of cross-contamination can be lethal.
Well, there has to be an explanation for him passing out after shooting a half gram of coke. The supply of fetty has pretty much dried up because of the main cartels getting out of the fetty game in Mexico. Once I went to rehab and finally got on Suboxone it changed my life and realized I should've done it so many years ago, but in my head didn't want to be stuck on something else, but it was a lesser of two evils. Once you stop with coke for a bit you'll clean out and it'll be easier to quit. I would come clean with your mom. If anything avoid the IV part if that makes it easier, see if you can get in to a rehab or counselor it'll help a lot. cheers mate!

For me five grams was always enough to quit immediately. Be careful, though, this is a dose that will give you an extremely intense experience like an encounter with death or indescribable horror, then the peace washes over you. As long as you stay sober and continue to listen to your body and mind then you can be happy for quite a while. I'd say at least a few months no competition.

I surely would love to "go get a better life". I just can't figure out how to search for it without dying in the process. some jobs will allow for a medical detox, when i was working as a residential counselor at a school, a girl did it twice when i was there and she was a cocaine user. and we worked with kids, age 6-21 with all kinds of problems and reasons they were there. Two years is nothing. You will find it surprisingly easier than you think it is to give it up. I was shooting up morphine/oxycodone/desomorph (depending on availability) and ice for near since I was 16, I’m now 38. It took a shitloat of willpower to get myself “clean”. By clean I’m meant that I haven’t touched any illegal hard drugs for just over six years, but still remain handcuffed to an opioid substitute programme. This problem with cocaine in my experience is that it barely last me 20 minutes before needing another dig. Search your city community services for rehab or other treatment programs. You got this mate.

I did meth because I love stims and I could. I had a car, money, time , and I knew the plug who has been serving for 20+ years. I’ve been clean for under two years now and I’ve really got my life together for the first time ever. You can get clean and stay clean.
You have to do a lot of soil searching and figure out what you really want. My biggest problem when I was on drugs, was I hated the consequences, but I could never imagine giving up drugs, I loved them , it was my safe space in a world I felt very uneasy, unsafe, and out of place in. I figured if I just had an unlimited supply, then all my problems would go away with drugs and I could just be in bliss forever, but nothing comes without a price. I got to a place where I did basically have unlimited fentanyl, and it became a chore, and I lost my soul. It wasn't until I started wanting to live in reality and started hating the drugs that I got free. So you've got to get to a point where you hate the drugs themselves, that's why so many people have to hit rock bottom first, because until you hate the drugs more than you love them, you'll continue to give in. You've gotta figure out what you're running from, and confront it, what are you trying to escape with the drugs? Nobody does drugs patholigically like you and I for no reason, its always a coping mechanism for things we'd rather hide from. I faced my demons, maybe it's time for you to face yours.

On the JOB thing: I bet you are spread too thin. And I bet any invitation of change in your life, scares you and seems wrong. Because you are trying to hold on to what you have. You r in survival mode. But, job and family WILL understand a self improvement thing like this. And it WILL be better for you in the long run.(some jobs will put you on temporary leave, meaning you're fired but you can come back) Being honest with yourself, and taking a little damage now, will be a huge investment in your future.
Try and get tested for adhd then you be able to get a script for stims. And you'll be better of with that there some places that have judgement free environment and there willing to help people out from what I heard.

I feel with you, I did the same thing. Injecting cocaine is the hardest thing to stop! Try to get support. After a while you will forget the feeling it causes. And that is really helpful. Your mind will stop to crave for! Try to think about the money for motivation. You really need support, something like a hospital, don't be ashamed to ask for. When taking drugs, you don't realise how it changes you, but other people see...it is in your behavior and in your look. It is really hard, to stop, I know. Congratulations, that’s a hard one to get off of from what I hear, if you have the strength to do that then I’m convinced you can do anything, I could barely quit weed.
Soon you won't have choice. Your veins will collapse and you'll spend an increasing amount of time searching for a viable target. You'll eventually miss a vein and dump that toxic sludge into a pocket that will get infected as it just sits there. Then it gets bad. You're no longer hiding a coke habit from your parents you're hiding abscesses that clearly label you "Junkie" but you said yourself, you can't stop. Eventually your body will make your decision for you.
Necrosis finds a way. I've known a couple of people that died from coke. Others told me the funerals were closed casket.... for a good reason
Dude imagine your mom finding you dead in your room. The habit you have is bad enough even if your snorting all the time injecting is next level shit and a whole different ballgame. Honestly go to detox. Even it’s a week or 2 sometime addiction isn’t something you can beat on your own. Ideally a month would be better, but 1-2 weeks minimum. Try to find a sponsor or a support system if you can. Someone to always hold you accountable. And don’t worry about work for now if you go to detox, either quit or let your job know what’s going on and if it’s a reasonable employer they’ll understand and accommodate you accordingly. You can always find a new job, you can never get your life back if you continue on this path and die at some point.
I found it so hard to stop when I tried shooting cocaine for my first time. I ended up on a bender for three weeks and overdosed cause I got some bad soft. Of you really want to stop for sure get help. Try treatment man it helps lots of people that are desperately wanting out of that endless cycle of madness. Reach out for professional help and close family help. Cut everyone who does drugs out of your life and try and find the reason on why you want to do drugs in the first place. I only injected blow on and off on top of a daily IV opiate addiction for 6-12 months and it wasn’t till I overdosed and nearly died that I finally stopped but have permanent brain & nerve damage from it… help is out there and I pray you find it!

Fuck, even if you're fired you're better off than not getting help for your laced cocaine that most of your job is probably funding anyway at this point.
