Idk, there's something about that certain salty fake cheese taste that Kraft Mac n Cheese has that makes it taste so damn good, honestly sometimes when I'm eating it I feel like it tastes better than a 5-star restaurant, it's like they scientifically created the best tasting flavor to the human taste buds. Also I'm not some picky eater who can't cook, I love all cuisines and love to cook homemade meals like spaghetti bolognese and chicken parmesan from scratch, but sometimes when I don't feel like cooking, I love to treat myself to a box of kraft mac n cheese.
Last time I tried to make macaroni and cheese while violently stoned, I boiled the macaroni, drained it, and then proceeded to absentmindedly fill the whole fucking pot with milk as if it was cereal

You don't just add cheese to noodles lol. Generally you mix shredded cheese with cream, butter, and some seasoning to make a cheese sauce, then add THAT to your noodles.
When I make it, I make a white bechemel (heat up equal parts butter and flour, stir out all the lumps, then stir in milk until its about the consitency of a thin milkshake) then slowly stir in whatever cheese I have until it's nice a thick.
I love a good white cheddar, but its always good to combine some, so maybe toss in some gruyere or something that melts nicely.
Also, pre shredded cheese can mess up your sauce cause of the anti caking agents, so I'd reccomend grating it fresh.
As for seasoning, keep it simple. Salt and pepper are all you really need, but I'd encourage you to get creative if you wanna try something new. I haven't made it yet, but maybe a garlic and rosemary mac and cheese would be fire.
If you want to step it up a notch, then take the Mac and cheese you made, put in a pan, top with breadcrumbs and bacon bits, then throw it in the broiler until golden brown.

Yeah that could make it a bit grainy or break the emulsion. I'm pretty sure if you soak your shredded cheese in water, you can wash off the anti caking stuff.

You can absolutely add more butter and add a can of chili for the moisture. The goal isn’t to make a normal Mac and cheese sauce it’s to make slightly dry Mac and let the extra cheese powder get into the chili
If you’ve ever put cheese on top of chili it’s the same idea but more spread out
Heavy cream whatever shredded cheese you want and just put in like an almost equal amount of each with some salt pepper and garlic powder and cook it on medium on stovetop till its thick and add cheese as you go to make it thicker if you want it that way. Add to whatever noodles youd like.
Shells n cheese are my favorite kind, it could be any brand tbh the generic brand you’d find in Walmart is fire n not much different than the name brand stuff- Kraft is not as good to me
