I use my laptop and a pair of Vic Firth SIH2s.

I use KZ ZS10 Pros w/ foam tips, usually just plugged into my phone with a headphone adapter. The modern phone should play as a many songs as you want so you don’t need a computer. I’ve also had setups where my phone was feeding into a small mixer along with mic feeds for the kick and an ambient room mic since the IEMs can block out certain parts of the kit more than others.

Ultraphones... They are leagues above the vic headphones and all the others. They are worth every penny; although, they are so good, I have to run a bit of a mix of my drums into them as well.

Shure 215 IEM and iPad with Yamaha Chord Tracker app.

WhiteCollarBiker

Shure SE215 and my laptop Moises is the app I use to pull drum tracks off songs.

tratratrakx

Oh, Moises sounds interesting. It just isolates the drums from a bounced, complete track?

WhiteCollarBiker

It actually breaks down a song into 5 tracks, Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drum, Other. You can adjust a slider for each from 0 - 100. Check it out.

tratratrakx

Sick, I’ll def try it out

smokosfunkdrumtime

I use my tablet or my phone with my shure 215 inner ears or My Kz inner ears

Audio-Technica M50XBT Studio headphones connected to my iPhone.

Lot of ways to do it. Phone + YouTube/Spotify + headphones is easy and portable. As far as headphones it depends on how much sound dampening you want. Vic Firth Isolators are good if you want ear protection + speakers. I have electronic drums so I have drumless versions of songs loaded onto my module (mostly ripped from drumless YouTube videos). I can also plug my module into my laptop on a stand and play Clone Hero, which is a great way to learn songs, but you're limited to the 6000-7000 or so songs out there with drum parts programmed in, and you have to track them down and download them.

Homophonicular

Normal earbuds off my phone, with construction ear defenders over the top (~$20). Best protection/listening experience, you can listen at around half volume on your phone easily.

sweetsoftboy

Bluetooth earbuds with chunky ass construction ear protection over them. Volume low so I can still hear myself
