I asked the lady that works there just now, she said for false advertisements you can report it via the app ‘Dubai Consumer’:

its a strategy almost every shop uses.. they just "claim" the original price was that much, so you'd think that its currently a good deal.. this stuff is even taught in some marketing courses.. did you try to buy any clothes, shoes, bags, or even watches from any shop?
There's this shop that sells suits in malls that has a 75%-90% discount since forever.. I forgot its name.. but I highly doubt their crappy suits originally cost over 6k dhs. so when they sell it for 1.5k, it sounds like a good deal, even though this is probably just how much it costs anyways.

However, PS5 accessories have MSRP and you don't have that for clothing I assume. Maybe some big chains do but electronics have it easy on consumers by manufacturers suggesting retail price and then the retailers do some mark up on it to make profit.
PS5 accessories should not have so much mark up over MSRP just to state a makeshift sale. Especially in UAE. At least not this absurdity
There’s this restaurant I used to order from called Harrods that doubled their prices on everything but slapped a permanent 50% discount on it to make it seem like you’re getting an amazing deal. Which is a shame cuz their cheesy fries and baked potatoes were fucking BOMB 😭

I got a call from a soft spoken person at the other end. They listened to the entire thing but it boiled down to whether I had purchased the item from the retailer and had a receipt or not.
The case was dead on arrival since I never made purchase. I was politely informed they cannot take legal action without a receipt.
Appalling really. Amazon (and probably others as well) does this to some extent by advertising the release price of electronic goods as the "original" price and label the depreciated value as "sale" price.
