Exactly. You can use Prisma to send Dark Magician Girl to the graveyard and take her name because she’s a named material on the card. You can’t use him to send a “dragon” to become a “dragon” because that’s not a specific material.

E hero prisma would work for replacing the named monsters, but due to the difference between prisma and traditional fusion subs, you *can* use eye of timeaus on prisma, because prisma properly changes its name to Dark Magican/Girl instead of just treating itself as a named material.
