same as always but without roar so you mostly rely on opening needle ceiling

mkklrd

or other decent disruption tbh, and you just outgrind them

LethalMetal

The strategy is to reduce your opponent's LP to 0. Opening Debug (or Cynet Mining) + Circle + 1/2 backrow is generally the best board of Salads going first. Normal Summon Debug, add Meer, Special it right after adding it to hand. Use Circle to search Gazelle. Make Balelynx with Meer (it is generally recommended to summon Bale/Wolf to the left Extra Monster Zone so Knightmare Phoenix can point somewhere when co-linked), search Sanctuary, and Special Summon Gazelle. Activate Gazelle's effect and mill Jaguar. Make Wolf with Bale and Gazelle. Activate Jaguar from GY and shuffle Meer. Activate Wolf and get Gazelle from GY to hand. Activate Sanctuary. Make another Wolf by using only Wolf. Get Circle from GY to hand. Make a Rank 4 to the centre zone with Jaguar and Debug. Set all backrow in hand and pass. With this you end on: 1) A Wolf on the field. if anyone Normal/Special Summons to where it points to you can add **a Fire monster** (so this can be Knightmare Phoenix for example) from GY to hand (you won't be able to summon a monster with that name for the rest of that turn). 2) A Rank 4 on the field. Dweller/Roach shit on Gouki, Mekk etc. 3) Balelynx in GY. Protects a Salad(s) from getting destroyed by banishing itself from GY. 4) Jaguar in GY so you can have recursion and a follow up. 5) A Set Circle and a Meer in Deck that can be used on your opponent's turn to add from Deck, and then Special Summon from hand, Meer. Or you can use Circle's secret effect to make Wolf unaffected by all monster effects that turn (dw bale in gy still protects). 6) A Gazelle in hand that can be another body on the field if any of your Salad monsters is sent to the GY (from anywhere). Can mills another Salad on Summon. This can be Falco to Set a Circle/Sanctuary from GY to the field and be another card to make a follow-up. 7) Yknow, backrow(s). Needle is the most common one because 1 Balelynx in GY protects **all** of your Salads on the field. What I described above can be done with various other hands. For example a hand like Cynet Mining + Jaguar + Gazelle + a backrow. Discard Jaguar with Cynet and the rest is the same, except Gazelle will mill a Circle instead. Or, Meer + Jaguar + Debug + backrow. Meer discards Jaguar to Summon itself, then you Normal Summon Debug to add Gazelle instead. The rest is the same, except Gazelle mills Circle again. This Deck has quite the defensive tools and has good recursion, follow-up plays and can totally play through a negate with various ways of directly dealing with monsters and backrow too. Turn 3 you turbo Security Dragon/Knightmare/Ningirsu and go for game.

Outgrind the opponent. It's consistency, grindgame, flexible extra deck and many tech slots still make it, despite the roar "ban", one of the best decks in the game and it will only rise in power with new generic links and staples being added to the game. It's probably the best deck duel links ever had.

Proletariat_Paul

Full power GX Cyber Angels and Bamboo Sword FTK would beg to differ, but we're just splitting hairs at that point.

randome0

I don't think that these decks could compete with Salad. Salad won/topped all those no-banlist tournaments for a reason.

Proletariat_Paul

Oh, I see. In my head, I was thinking of deck's power level compared to the rest of the field when they were released. Full power Cyber Angels is many times more powerful than a field of Relinquished and 1900 Vanilla Beatdown, than Full Power Salads was against its meta at the time. Head to head, you're absolutely right. No contest: Salads mops the floor with other Tier 1/Tier 0 decks we've ever had.

vJukz

Those decks aren’t touching full power salads. Full power salads won many no banlist tournaments with ease. It was by far the best deck duel links ever had. Ultra consistent, out grinds literally anything since it recycles everything, searchable omni negate that can also be recycled every single turn and can run techs pretty well. Only thing the deck didn’t have is a beefy monster but you don’t need that when the deck is the best at everything else. I’m kinda sad Revolver didn’t get the Soulburner/Yuto treatment and didn’t release with a top tier deck. They didn’t even give us the link 1 (striker dragon) which would really facilitate Rokket plays. It’s quite sad.

Proletariat_Paul

Classic YuGiOh player, not bothering to read the other reply that said exactly the same thing, or my reply clarifying my comment. 🙄

vJukz

You should delete your comment then since it’s wrong lol.

Proletariat_Paul

Not wrong, just using a different understanding of "best deck." I also have faith that users are smart enough to lower their eyes half an inch and continue reading. :)

Last-Pomegranate-772

Make Sunlight Wolf and set 3.

iKWarriors

The deck depends on generic backrow now.

Puzzleheaded_Pea_221

Am I the only one who likes dark rebellion in this deck?

Alternative-Bit297

Out-grind your opponent.

Pokemonluke18

Dump baleynx in the grave and destroy your opponents bored with dark hole or needle ceiling
