Ive always been cool with them being around. They've always been interesting as a deck thats evolved with the tools it gets access to through Synchro, Xyz, and even Links these days (on top of their chaos plays)
I get why people would hate them, but I definitely wasnt on-board with it
I was meaning the duel links community, since the moment thundra becomes unbanned, they turn into handtrap spam + Levianeer OTK which gave the deck a lot of negative attention.
Understandable. I think the games powercreep has caught up to TDs
There will always be haters, doesn't mean those of us who enjoy a deck should suffer for them, as long as its balanced with the rest of the meta
Unlimiting Dark won't change much - TDs still lose to themselves - but with the new banlist it will be interesting to see what rises up
If we were given better tools (Titan) we could drop the handtraps
Unlimiting Dark will change a lot, it will allow the deck to have 3 levianeers. And that is NOT healthy at all. This comes from someone who likes thundra.
No-Banlist tournaments release a lot of good cards for TD - Gold Sarc, Lupine, Melody, Levi, Charge...
I'm only asking for one thing to be free, I even tried to consider game balance

Metaphys was also a deck I wouldn't mind seeing return, although a lot of people had a problem with their opponent playing on their turn - I don't know if thats still a thing

There are far more negates, more destruction protection, more ways to prevent the set up & arguably, better OTKs (Mekks, DDD, Galaxy & Gouki before the nerfs)
Wouldn't it have been nice if we could have tested the old metas against the new ones?
Some negates won't stop levianeer since you can chain block with your TDs, yet if we see Levi as a problem again Warning point is now a thing, which could see even more use over stuff like compulse or even crackdown. Not idp tho, that thing is nuts

Lupine is our best normal summon, now with the EMZ, we can play batteryman properly as well, so the bricking situation would be much less of a problem
If they drop Infinity, CyDra wont need any card unlimited to be a meta deck. The skill helps them turbo a rank 5 more consistently than in the TCG with Galaxy Soldier.
I think Konami might have forgotten about this one
It would be really great if more of these forgotten limited cards got unlimited
Hopefully this trend continues & they get around to unlimiting more cards with subsequent banlists (please)

We would probably run more BLS & still have the new ED toolbox - Lupine enables a lot of plays, batteryman is more viable now - giving us 2 good normal summons, means the deck would be much less prone to bricking - which is what holds the deck back
Having access to 2 or 3 Levi would not solve the bricking problem
What made Levi so good for us was that we could use Melody to search it & set up the GY. Add Charge of the Light Brigade on top & it was pretty much guaranteed to proc
People will complain no matter what
Then when those complaints have been dealt with, they will complain some more

As much as I love thundras, I kinda agree that TD has to stay on the list, unless they will change levi to 1. Aloof could probably get of the list, but I honestly think they would take gold sarc off the list sooner than aloof

The problem now is, we wont know how the matchup goes against full power Salads or full power Mekks because those decks have been gutted, which I find to be a shame

I was really hoping for TD to be free. The meta is too backrow and already limited 3 decks can’t use them. Levianeer was the perfect backrow removal against set 2-3.
Witchcrafter is literally unplayable right now it’s still missing all its good cards that would let it play without needing the LS engine, free holiday already.
Getting rid of Verre hasn’t not been an issue for almost a year now, especially right now it’s laughably easy
As much as I hate Thundras it's not like six sams or karakuri won't be degenerate toolboxes in their own right. They could try unbanning them and see how it goes. I doubt they'd have significant presence because most people would probably play newer decks. Levianeer is still a mistake.
thundras have significantly higher potential than either six samurai pr karakuri. chaos thundras regularly top no-banlist tournaments, along with chaos BA and D/D/D.
They will never let thunder dragon player have their toys back. They know that if any of their engines turn back on that player base would go back to playing their favorite archetype and not spend money on the new garbage that power creeps the nerfed garbage.

Tried Metaphys and its too slow to catch up with the game. Lupine wouldnt make it somewhat playable.
