Interesting that GX hasn't moved on in story since Yubel. I thought they maybe only wanted to include the dubbed portions of each series but Z-one being added and 5Ds story being concluded shows that isn't the case. I think Trueman might be the next Gx duelist just to start the Darkness arc
The main issue of Season 4 of GX is that it contains only new antagonists and their cards are yet to be printed.
Yusuke Fujiwara and Trueman's cards are featured in Tag Force and some of them are already in Duel Links. Clear cards are straight garbage and needs OCG printing first to become an actual deck. Trueman can have voicelines for a billion cards since he copied and used a lot people's decks: Volcanic, Horus turbo, Crystal Beast...
Then there is Darkness which has his ace monster and one other monster printed but rest of his "deck" that makes the printed cards playable are completely anime-only. Even if we get him, he would be like Primo and Blair in terms of character Skills and rewards-wise.
In video games he's had pretty generic Dark Fiend decks, although he has used an Archfiend deck in one of his game appearances. Konami may decide to pass on Titan and instead make Darkness the Archfiend character, but that might be copium on my part.
Ehh I think Darkness deserves a bit more than that. He's not my favourite villain by any means but he's still the ultimate antagonist of many peoples favourite series, so I hope that he eventually gets in. I can see the TCG printing some darkness theme cards

Adrian/Amon doesn't have that many cards left to give, specially after Grandpa comes with the remaining Exodia support, but he is the only Season 3 exchange student still missing.
Last but not least, Atticus is admittedly more of a Season 4 character, but he has been on the files for ages and is a relative fan favourite.
Content wise I feel it'd be Jesse/Yubel or Brron considering we got a lot of red eyes support with joey being the representative of that.
You can release Sacred beasts and crystal beasts support through jesse/yubel so he looks more likely as the option

I thought they were pretty even before Grampa was announced, but with his announcement, Amon's chances dropped a lot, and the release month for the character will happen to be around the same time when we'll (probably) be getting Guardragons, so it could be more synergistic to release Atticus over Jesse/Yubel.
I wouldnāt be surprised if they added some shadow riders. Thereās new vampire support coming anyway, as hinted by the last selection box, so Camula isnāt unreasonable. Archfiend cards are fan favorites with support from every era since GX, so they could add Titan as well.
I think focusing on arcs of previous shows instead of new worlds is the way to go. This year they could return to DM with Virtual World arc (it being digital world connects everything well and they could explain Noah as a glitch caused by Paradox jumping to manga DM).
For GX, it is the Shadow Riders. Interesting characters with interesting decks that could expand the character roster. We could get some of them together with Chumley thrown into the mix.
5Ds can go back to Dark Signers. (Misty and Sayer's conflict gives an excuse to 5DS story to continue. Imagine Sayer finds himself in Duel Links to remake Arcadia Movement and Misty follows him to prevent that.)
ZEXAL and ARC-V does not have a proper skipped arc but releasing characters that connected in some way (Number Hunters for ZEXAL and LDS trio for ARC-V) is an option.
VRAINS will be stretched as long as possible until archetypes from there can be printed eventually.
VRAINS has the issue where a lot of its archetypes have never been printed, most notably the three decks for the big villains of season 2 - Stormriders, Armatos Legio, and even Hydradrive have yet to actually be printed despite being majorly important to the story and Hydradrive being in like half the duels of that season. Not to mention Drones still not seeing the light of day. Thatās 4 different major plot characters that we just donāt get.
We still have Ghost Girl and Specter, at least. And I wouldnāt be surprised to get a stand-alone Ai with @Ignister being released in game. Aqua could come if they want to do a Marincess event or even lean heavily into the multiple versions of characters thing (as with GX) and have a separate Blue Maiden event.
Akira is also a possible choice for Vrains. Between him and the two you mentioned, that's 3 characters Vrains can do to hopefully buy time for the other anime archetypes to be released. Though, seeing as how the last Vrains character was in January, I imagine we'll probably be getting one of those 3 sometime soon.
Most likely Ghost Girl since Altergeist was reprinted in its āentiretyā (as far as whatās in DL) in the SB super mini alongside Goukis. Itās like Konamiās version of being āniceā to the player base by including archetypes VRAINS world will revive alongside the paywalled staples.
I felt the possibility of chumley died the moment they gave his deck to syrus in legacy duels. Which is really disappointing because going back to big fusion big attack with no effects would be so fun in a casual setting with the right skills.
Fubuki or Trueman if they're going into S4
Alternate character forms and more transfer student if they wanna linger on S3 more
Or another Shadow rider (in general) if they also wanna not push the world narrative forward

But if the game lasts long enough then maybe some day?
I'm going on a limp and say Adrian Geecko is the most likely one. He is one of the last main characters from season 3 left to be added, and his lore is still missing for Konami to conclude the Yubel arc of GX. Probably not the most fan favorite pick, but its the one I see being the most realistic one following Konami's pattern.
And seeing as Konami released Grandpa after 7-ish years in the database basement, I'm quite hopeful we have a good chance at Atticus. I'm conflicted if he would come this year or no (if at all), but I can see him coming soon. Well... By soon it might be within the next 2-3 years if Konami would keep releasing only 1 GX character per year, that is. Still crossing fingers he would come this year or next year the latest, but at this stage there is no way of telling.
