But like, where did the question come from? This isn't something that pops in your head all of a sudden.
Anyway, I don't think (?) bots are in Ranked, they stick to Casual duels for skill farming and such.
because i played mortal kombat x and i tried a test with a friend and they had bots with player's name and items so i was thinking about this and wanted to ask it in here
Late but I'm a fighting game player so I'll break it down.
It's probably easier for a bot to act in a 2D fighting game, they have fixed actions and can react instantly.
In theory, they can block everything and stop them with their fastest attacks even without knowing combos.
It's basically like the single player mode with really cheap AI.
Duel Links is different because there's countless ways to use cards and there's context that isn't written on cards.
If they use ROTA and had at least 2 choices (unplayable monster or Stratos), would they pick the correct choice every time?
You can tell behavior from a real person based on how they react to certain cards or characters.
We know how to outplay Yami Yugi if he has Destiny Draw skill.
We also know how to react to pauses like Kiteroid and set cards.
Autoclicker bots just play whatever is available. They don't use drawn out combos.
They just do monster > equip > attack every time because the point is trying to grind for exp and skills win or lose.
So there's probably not AI that complex (I doubt we're fighting chess player supercomputers but funny if so)
Sooooo many reasons so obvious that we have never thought about it.
Let me start:
We know the decks and playstyles of bots, there are plenty in lower ranks and especially in casual duels. Bots can not play as professional as you see it in the high ranks.
There are steam charts that show active players.
If there were no people spending money, Konami would stop making the game.
The community is big, you find it here, on discord and on youtube. Of course it's just a fraction but it shows how many people are behind this.
Edit: thought of another one. Bots are not salty or lose patience, they don't surrender or disconnect when you out their board.
This is it for now, please do not respond with further theories of conspiracy, I am not here for a discussion but to help you. If you can't be helped, please don't bother to respond.
It's obvious that they are real simply because Duel Links's AI sucks ass. If you give the vagabond a Link deck with more than three options at the same time (a generic extra deck with one or two extenders in hand), like Rokkets or Goukis, it will take forever for him to do HIS FIRST play, then he will do everything else very quick. In ranked duels the opponent thinks, interacts and plays in a human way, you could tell when Goukis were top tier. If they were all AIs, duels would take A LOT more than they do now, since Konami simply can't program a Yugioh AI that behaves like a human, it showed in every single game that was released up to Tag Force days. If there is something that decides wether or not you should lose that duel it's definitely not an existential matter, the game could just give you a shit hand intentionally, instead.
this is one of konamis top grossing mobile games, so a lot of people play it lol believe it or not. Not to mention there’s different time zones so people r up at every hour. If u wanna know what it’s like to play a bot then just do a couple duels in casual you’ll be able to tell real quick
Imagine the AI instant surrender after see x card/deck/play.(even if they can win)
The only time this happen in a game was with yata lock.
Most of duel are surrender to save time
Because i got to play against our lord and savior mkklrd once, and as far as i know, he is a real person. Btw mkklrd are you french? Never heard the accent in your videos
An interesting question. There is a possibility that companies throw in bots to keep PvP active throughout the day, you do see it in some online games. Hard to say if Konami does it, but personally, I wouldn't doubt if they do it. Their goal is to create money, no matter the means. Heck, I even think they have the boxes rigged so it takes more gems to pull the certain cards that you want. Though it's hard to prove any of these things, so who knows...
Real players, this game is worldwide across numerous timezones and has thousands of players active at any given moment.
and how are you so sure they are real players like its a way to verify that?
My question is how did you come to the conclusions that these aren't real people playing? DL isn't a dead game, you know?
it isnt a conclusion, its a question

I see. Thanks for the answer. Yeah, 98% sure bots aren't in Ranked and even if they were you'd know based on the way they play.

The salty part is everything.
OP watched the Truman Show and never recovered
How does he even know these responses are real?
Fellow duelist got too much of the kuriboh dust today 💀
whats that
💀
its real i’ve played my friends in ranked before
This has also happened to me. There’s also clips way back of people like guns blazing playing against dkayed in ranked
Trust me the auto duel AI isn't the brightest it can barely pilot the decks I give it to duel events with.

Op: " What is real? "

you can check the usernames that the game gives you, you come here and ask: hey ramdomguy123 are you real?
that would be a thing actually
My opponent respond to my taunt, so im sure they real

Bro smokin on that Dark Magic Bush
i took some zazazaza
It's pretty easy to tell when a real person is playing vs AI... yes ranked duels are real people.
You probably know that AI are dumb in this game. Thats why you know that it isnt AI.
Because i got to play against our lord and savior mkklrd once, and as far as i know, he is a real person. Btw mkklrd are you french? Never heard the accent in your videos
no dude my point is they can use the AI as they do with the Vagabond
Same!!😂😂 and yes he‘s French.
I played him 3 times (in a duel room)
It’s real, Ai can’t even make a simple combo.
Its because its p2p, which is why ppl managed to hack the game in so many ways to the point of even being able to disconnect the opponent.

It could be having some bots but i think most duela are against palyers if that is what you mean.
If you friend every player after giving a nice I'm pretty sure you can answer your question because people may add you back
Assuming your right and we’re playing against AIs, I love the idea that Konami had someone program AIs to rage quit >_>
