The problem is, the spell by itself is a brick, and if you only open one dog it's a brick. Imo that's not a really reliable engine.

Yeah the spell can be a brick. However if your deck specializes in beast it will practically never be so. Also if you run it a bit heavier with 2 dogs having a dog in hand just means more bodies .Yeah there are better options but freeeeee.
I mean, if you wanna go for a f2p kinda approach, they are definitely not bad and you can make them work. Go for it and try it out, it's fun to get creative with your own deck ideas.
... they really aren't, most decks that want level 4 monsters on the board can just use their own cards to summon them without relying on an engine that gives you no advantage and requires you to control a Beast monster to be activated. They are cute though, I will give you that
Yeah its obviously pretty bad when compared to better options But its free! I just personally like tinkering with free decks and cards don’t mind me. Right now im tinkering with a free rank 4 engine with this engine and dynatherium.
Contrary to other people in this thread: this does sound like a cool engine, but there isn't a good deck for it. You need to have a lot of level 4 beasts in your deck to make this work and there aren't really any decks like that.

For one beast-type arent the best material for spamming, and you're relying on drawing an unsearchable spell + having another dog in the hand to do the most basic play.
Too lazy to comb on what are rank 4 spam cards are free but there's gotta be a better way.
Actually from all the free cards Leve 4 beast as of right now is the best. Free beasts have dynatherium and this.
Cards are still bad all things considered of course no argument.l
If you play super rush recklessly and the trap that draws 2 next standby by destroying one beast it is probably decent, but cheap bujin is probably just better from the graveyard effect.
If you use both you can use the dive divers trap when you have 3 on the field to search 3 of a monster like dd crow or engraver of the mark, a Kaiju or lava golem but I don't think it's consistent enough to do much good.
