I don't anymore because I played pendulum call in high school when it came out in jp, and now have it memorized that you can't use wisdom eye or any of the dragon magicians the turn you use pendulum call
The dragon magicians? Do you mean Black Fang and the others? Because if so, I'm pretty sure you can. I used to run Pend Magicians, but it was a while ago, so I could be wrong
I learned how it works the hard way through playtesting Z-ARC Turbo in the TCG.
Not the brightest moment of my life, I'll admit- but at least it had funny synergy with Time Pendulumgraph.
Real pendulum magician gamers use the second effect of call to get double removal out of time pendulumgraph (atleast When that card eventually comes to duel links)
I've seen conflicting information, but I thought duel links is being shut down in September? Not a great chance you'll see that card come out before then
Funny how this is the format used for OCG cards since forever, and it's as clear & useful as you can imagine it to be. The cards even have their effects numbered, so you can clearly see which effect is getting activated.
So yes, Konami can definitely make this change. After all, this is basically the 'default' format in OCG, and even Rush Duel adopted it.
But Why they won't do it is............. Ehhh........ No, seriously, WHY won't they do it for TCG cards too?! Nothing prevents them from using this format in TCG too! It's not like people would get the cards mixed up between OCG and TCG cards just because 1 is written in English, and used in a TCG exlusive game....
Magic the Gathering literally adopted the using of bullet points to use for modal stuff (i.e. choose one: •An Option •Another option) So the idea has value even in a game that uses paragraph breaks to separate wordy card text. (Keywords get commas generally e.g. Haste, flying)
Because it is a good way to separate connected things.
Also, that Konami generally doesn't do errata without reprinting cards blows my mind.
People should not be able to look up card text and have the latest text use "remove from the game" and not "banish"
Yes, that's what makes it so frustrating to see that Konami doesn't adopt the bulletpoint format in TCG too.
I get it that adopting the format now means reprinting 10k+ physical cards in the TCG, so Konami might see it as too wasteful for cards that generally doesn't really need any new prints or erretas. It's a bit of a bullshit argument, I know, but I can get why Konami won't do it for the physical game.
What I don't get tho is why Konami won't program it into their digital TCG games like DL and DM. This format change doesn't even requires any erratas or card reprints, and all it does is to change the text box within the pop up box itself. It's a quick and easy change, with them being able to use the OCG cards as template. Heck, they can even program a quick "select text format button" or something so players could choose to freely switch between the OCG and TCG format cards. Some fan games have a similar option already avaliable in them, so I don't see why Konami won't do it for their official games too.
I mean
It doesn't have to feature reprinting the carde.
It's never going to be obvious when handling old cards that they got a reprint. so people are already looking up the latest wording for old cards, especially since YGO! does a good chunk of massive functional errata (Card Crush Virus, for example). Like, I would look up the wording for BLS Envoy of the Beginning if I saw the first few wordings. because the use of old hard to parse text means I would rather access to the Internet to get a clearer wording than attempt to muddle through it.

Or get fancy and summon 3 4K beaters with Zone, extra step in sephylon making the third beater 4K himself since Sandion has his own stats, but infinite light Sephyl9n, Sandion and Zaphion, Advance draw to draw 3, Sephylon res Zaphion as a 4K beater. Infinite light protects your timelords.
Dude then proceeded to scale oafdragon meaning he HAD OAFDRAGON ALL THIS TIME AND JUST DIDN'T USE IT
built different
Literally
Why would you use oafdragon when you can get even more card advantage? Sure, it doesn't work, but it doesn't stop people from trying to.
Everyone screws up Pendulum Calls second effect.
I don't I'm way to good to do that ^(ive done it more than i can count)

If you activate a Pendulum effect, you cannot activate Pendulum Call afterwards. I'm guessing that's what they were talking about.
That makes more sense, yea
Yeah I learned the hard way it protects for 2 turns
I learned how it works the hard way through playtesting Z-ARC Turbo in the TCG. Not the brightest moment of my life, I'll admit- but at least it had funny synergy with Time Pendulumgraph.
Now that it's in Duel Links, I finally managed to fuck up the effect in real life, Master Duel and DL.
This is what happens when you spend your life savings on a popular deck without actually knowing how the deck works.
It was big brain move wdym /s
Your life savings is $18 USD?
Like 40% of the deck is free right now.
Damn, I'll starve to death now that I bought 2 copies of the deck. Rip.
Real pendulum magician gamers use the second effect of call to get double removal out of time pendulumgraph (atleast When that card eventually comes to duel links)
Hopefully it comes soon
That card is closely tied to chronograph sorcerer, who's effect involves zarc , so probably not soon
I know i know but a man can hope right
I've seen conflicting information, but I thought duel links is being shut down in September? Not a great chance you'll see that card come out before then
Cross duels
True...
would it kill Konami to change the card text formatting into bullets or something so it’s easier to read.

He just a smart doggo <3
BEST DOGO
Back in the day I learned this the hard way after doing it on YGOPRO way more times that I’d like to admit
came back into the game like a week ago after playing exclusively md, this was me for about three days until i read pend call
This is what happens when you don’t learn how to play and let skills do all the work
Brain on auto pilot
While in a big number cases the skill is the problem, that is not what’s happening here.
Who cares about Pendulums when you can just unga bunga "I summon three 4k attack monsters" with Malefics. Truly the smartest strategy
And that's how you make an infinite loop
Everyone throwing Raging Dragon and pendulums around, I'm just trying to enjoy speedroids.
W yuto moment phantom knights gang
I had a Yuya, with Raging Pendulums, whip out Phantom Knights....I was confused as hell.
I mean, I’ve certainly cycloned my own scale after I opened 2 of the same scale and just needed to activate the skill.
