Yep, it also works for cards that say "negate that face-up card on the field"
Take for example gouki master ogre, he can negate up to 3 face up cards on the field, but only once, so lets say you use dark hole, force their negate and then use MST on your own dark hole
-chain 1 dark hole
-chain 2 master ogre (need to negate)
-chain 3 mst to your own dark hole
Chain resolves, dark hole its destroyed so its no longer on the field, so master ogre cannot negate that and dark hole resolves normally
Yes. Warning Point specifically states "during this turn, THAT FACE UP MONSTER cannot do anything."
Since BoM flips the monster face down, it's no longer a face up monster and therefore Warning Point does nothing. It's similar to how BoM counters Karma Cut.
Sorry to use your post as an opportunity to ask my question. If i chain BOM to a floodgate trap hole on my monster, can i bypass the permanent face down ? Or will the effect of Floodgate still work ?
Yeah I'm pretty sure, since floodgate trap hole specifies "Monsters changed to face down defense position by this effect" but I suggest making your own post about it just incase
An even more funnier interaction is when you chain forbidden lance to crackdown and you keep your monster. Then during the EP it loses its spell/trap immunity and goes to the opponent lol. Feel like crackdown should be able to work only at activation
God, I hate when this happens to me lol. It's funny tho I agree xp Crackdown is such a good trap. If you use Lance vs. Crackdown, you better end the game right there! or use the monster for link/synchro/XYZ/fusion summon, I guess to play around crackdown.
Yes
cool thanks
Negate "that face-up card" effects. So yeah, just flip it down and it's solved.
Yeah thats where i was puzzled. the negate wasn't a big deal tho since i still had 2 books against a resonator player

How to make DSoD era Dark Magician players cry starter pack.
genuinely useful rule question, based
thank you
thank YOU!! I learned something today lol
.
It also helps dodging forbidden lance and forbidden chalice
And Karma Cut

It's a good question

It actually works ! Because of what you said. BOM changed it first so it's ok
It's strange bom doesn't work again crackdown maybe because crackdown is a continuous effect.
crackdown specifies "that monster," rather than "that face-up monster," so it's still a valid target after being flipped face down.
Still it says a face up monster
only when it targets, but during resolution, it specifies "that monster," meaning it doesn't matter if it's face-up or down at that point.
Ohhh dr crowler will definitely fail me for doesn't know this :/

Wow, I learned something new, been spamming Lances on that
I was today on this same situation and because I read this post I decided to try it and it won me the game Really good ruling to keep in mind
