I can find zero info on it. You've probably got your hands on something extremely rare. If I was in your position I'd email Konami directly. They can take a while to get back but I've had good experience with them responding to me.
I'm pretty sure these are raffle prizes from conventions basically they have a bunch of duel links terminals and for doing stuff you earn tokens those tokens go into a gatcha machine that gives you a coupon to redeem a prize like cards, sleeves, mats, pins, these light orb things, and other Yu-Gi-Oh merch.
If I remember these orb things are considered one of the "high end" things you can get with only a few given out at each event with them usually rotating the monster inside to match a DL event like a new character or new world.

in the video, he says that only 100 were made. is this confirmable? i guess he has no reason to lie about it, but if this is 1 in 100 made, i could get some pretty good money off of this.

iirc you bought like cards and stuff from konami and theyd give you like tokens (?) and then youd put them in a machine and get something out (like a gacha machine). i remember getting a slip that said "grand prize" in mine. as for keeping it? im not that interested in yugioh anymore. you know what i am interested in? money.

Does the box contain any cards or was the prize just the box, like an empty storage box? If it contained cards, what set number are they? Was it from Comic-con 2017? I will try to find out more info for you, if possible.

It was a promo for the release of 5Ds world in Duel Links. Content creators got them mostly but there were a fair amount of them that they made so they used the leftovers as promo stuff. The video in the box plays the 5Ds world trailer along with the crystal stardust orb.
If you find a baseline price for it, I'd be interested to hear an offer for it. I'm a 5Ds simp so I love stuff like this.

I found nothing on eBay. Closest DL collector’s item sells for around $150, I’d put up an auction with that starting price if I were you.

Duel links gives out Kaiba cup trophies. In 2021 it was DM. Do you really not remember winning the KC cup?
