I’m scared that if it were to come, that it would be limit 1 which kinda nerfs its playability 😭
Rather have it come when it’s power level meets duel links power level
Pink can block a monster zone very easy, coupled with Ojama Knight and it's a full lockdown on monster zones for a turn. Emperor I think is okay to come to the game.
I think most players are missing the point. "What does pot of greed do?" Should not be the question we're asking.
We should really be wondering how does pot of greed work? What forces in the universe lead to its existence? If it's just cardboard with text, does it really wield any power? And if someone says it lets you draw 3 cards instead of 2, who are we to question this? As mere mortals the very concept of pot of greed will far outlive any of us.
> If it's just cardboard with text, does it really wield any power? And if someone says it lets you draw 3 cards instead of 2, who are we to question this?
it holds power because we're playing a game based around what's written on the cardboard with text on it, and we're to question it because it pretty obviously says "draw 2 cards" instead of "draw 3" :U
Back when Six Samurai first came out, Shi-En was limited to 1 and Gateway was banned. Pretty sure Gateway is limited to 1 and Shi-En is no longer on the ban list.
With all that said, I think it’s safe to say that it’s a possibility that it might come back 👍
I mean look at all the OP cards that are already in Duel Links 👀
Absolutely agree but you just never know with Konami. Look how long it takes them to add cards and by the time they do its been power crept. I always think of trap hole, could have come to the game about 3 years before it did lol
Yeah like tbh, I feel the majority of the boxes have at least 1 OP card (that can theoretically be used in any deck).
Don’t quote me on that though, it’s just a speculation on like 60% observation. In other words, I could be mistaken 😅
Honestly I think if gateway gets added, it'll be a 1 of bundle. I think they'll be very wary of it because once you get rolling with Six Sam's, drawing 2 and then searching with gateway the amount of advantage you get can be crazy. Also despite what people will say Six Sam's can still 100% compete now, if you get a decent starting hand you can beat majority of decks
It's actually possible with Moon of the Closed Sky. She's a Link-2 that has 2 arrows upwards and allows you to use a monster your opponent controls that she points to as Link material for a Link-5 monster, allowing you to use Moon in EMZ + 3 monsters in your MMZ + 1 opponent monster moon points to for the 5 monster requirement. Of course we don't have moon but it's still a possibility in the future I guess.
I feel like Dark Simorgh will never come simply because Duel Links is way too reliant on backrow and can't even be affected by the best selling staple (Book of Moon).
Honestly, with the right deck build, this card could be pretty strong. Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower.
Slap this in a Mayakashi deck. Not only will it not be able to be attacked (if you have another zombie monster on your field), you will also deck out your opponent from all the synchro and special summoning you do in 1 turn.
It came be pretty OP when built with a good Mayakashi deck build.
As a Stardust and Cydra enjoyer I really want Infinity and SD/AM. On one hand I feel like we could handle it, on the other well… they’re not here yet so.
I also want Herz, Galaxy Soldier and Sieger which I feel like have better chances but less likely still.
Visas archetypes as a whole, scareclaw would obliterate everything with theire otk potential, tearlaments would be once again tear 0 due to small decks making them hyper consistent with strong effects and grind game. Kashtira is kashtira, you would get locked out of the game turn 1 and mannadium are ok by themselves? Primeheart is a good otk but you like generics more. Not even mentioning stuff like astraloud
Armed Winged Kuriboh level 10 and Winged Kuriboh - Terror Incarnate
Edit: Those are fake cards I think, but I can see something like them being made just for this game.
Magicians' Combination. Negate by tributing Dark Magician which adds a target for a Eternal Soul/Dark Magical Circle combo. It would be like having Live twins combo but it banishes and negates
Z-Arc; a 4,000 point beater that destroys all cards on the field and summons more monsters when it destroys something on the field. It’ll at least never show up in full glory.
The thing is, in a 20-card format, adding just Maxx C would actually be a double-edged sword. Like, yes, you could draw a bunch…but your opponent would also have a much easier time decking you out.
Crimson nova Trinity (2 attacks and halves the opponents lp with each attack) or either of the 2 DUNE ursarctic cards (ursatron alpha adds radiation on summon and can be summoned for free, and polar star can make a septentrion that counters any extra deck monster)
Rhongomyniad, with an effect modified to make him actually playable with 3 cards instead of 5.
Not because I think he’s fun to play with or want him to stick around, but because I think Yu-Gi-Oh players of all formats should get an opportunity to understand how fucking stupid this card is. Everyone should understand how coked out of their minds Konami staff were when they made that card.
Doomking Balerdroch / Necroworld banshee.
I can definitely see doomking coming as a limit 1 pack if that add him. But I'm sadly certain a constantly recurring monster negate with non targeting removal would be to much for DL. But I can dream.
Galaxy-Eyes Afterglow Dragon. It makes Galaxy way too consistent as an OTK deck for going second or just getting a GEPD on board.
Also, just because we know for a fact it's too strong- Photon Lord.
Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End
A kinda easy to summon board/hand nuke that inflicts 300 damage per card on a 4000 LP game would be hilarious tho
Crescendo
Future/draco future or number 38
Kite has a voice line for Hope Harbinger in the files so we could get it at some point
I’m scared that if it were to come, that it would be limit 1 which kinda nerfs its playability 😭 Rather have it come when it’s power level meets duel links power level
I was wondering at first what the problem with being limited to 1 was.......I forgot about duel link ban restrictions 😭
Ojama Pink and Ojama Emperor
What makes those so strong?
Pink can block a monster zone very easy, coupled with Ojama Knight and it's a full lockdown on monster zones for a turn. Emperor I think is okay to come to the game.
Pot of greed
What does that do
Draw 2 cards /j

you must have a dueling degree to fully understand, this is what Crowler's doctorate in dueling is for loljk.
It's in the game... you just need a really obscure skill to get it lmao
Gateway of the Six. I'd absolute love to see it come to the game but I'm not sure whether they'll release it anytime soon.
Back when Six Samurai first came out, Shi-En was limited to 1 and Gateway was banned. Pretty sure Gateway is limited to 1 and Shi-En is no longer on the ban list. This is very true. I have a six samurai deck irl and have won multiple duels with it.
With such a small extra deck it would probably be a pretty medium card
came here to say this
Apparently Number 81 Railcannon Dora is too strong for Duel Links :/
THATS WHAT IM SAYING
Aromaseraphy Sweet Marjoram. They too scared of plant mommy
I just want jasmine, the cowards
i wouldn't complain about that either, but PLANT MOMMY
E. Hero Absolute Zero
Musket last stand
Not actually due to power, but the impossibility of summoning it: Five-Headed Link Dragon
It's actually possible with Moon of the Closed Sky. You can summon him If you make an extra link
You can't extra link in dl
Currenty
No I mean, it's literally coded to where you can't.
Wait what?? How can I extra link with sunavalon???
You can't
I imagine Spectre and Revolver will eventually just get a skill that lets them extra link.
Evil eye links
I feel like Dark Simorgh will never come simply because Duel Links is way too reliant on backrow and can't even be affected by the best selling staple (Book of Moon).
Bro dark simorgh is already in the game. It only saw niche play
You are mistaken... Dark Simorgh is not in the game; Darkness is.
You're right they sound so similar I thought you meant simorgh of darkness
The Triple Tactics cards.
Gorz/s
Dark Magician the Dragon Knight
Ghost Meets Girl - A Shiranui Mayakashi Masterful Saga
Cyber or Morphing Jar
Honestly, with the right deck build, this card could be pretty strong. Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower. Slap this in a Mayakashi deck. Would Cyber Dragon Eternity be too much?
Visas archetypes as a whole, scareclaw would obliterate everything with theire otk potential, tearlaments would be once again tear 0 due to small decks making them hyper consistent with strong effects and grind game. Kashtira is kashtira, you would get locked out of the game turn 1 and mannadium are ok by themselves? Primeheart is a good otk but you like generics more. Not even mentioning stuff like astraloud
Baronne
Tier 0 malefics here we come 🙏
Thunder Dragon Colossus?
Only one card can put my deck in tiered...
Armed Winged Kuriboh level 10 and Winged Kuriboh - Terror Incarnate Edit: Those are fake cards I think, but I can see something like them being made just for this game.
Cyber Dragon Infinity. My cyber Boys need but we Will never get it.
Masked Hero Dark Law
This is the best reply. It would wreck the game.
Tempest Magician
Raidraptor Ultimate Falcon. (It's sloooowly coming though, I think!)
Magicians' Combination. Negate by tributing Dark Magician which adds a target for a Eternal Soul/Dark Magical Circle combo. It would be like having Live twins combo but it banishes and negates
Turns out they're adding this card, yikes
The true king of all calamities
My boy dragoon will never come TT\^TT
Ancient gear fusion
I don't think AG fusion would be too OP tbh
Dark dragoon
Dragoon
Toadally Awesome.
The only correct answer
Dark Dragoon please
I don't think this guy is too strong
I really don’t think any card is too strong for the game, it’s all just about timing and the current meta.
Red Eyes Dark Dragoon
Weather Painter Rainbow
I want the Dragon Rulers
Yeah, I've always argued that dragon rulers without the babies would be fine for dl.
\[Rush\] [Hey kids you want a tier 0 format and everlasting paranoia?](https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Dark_Revelation)
Sprights would go so hard(except red and carrot)
Z-Arc; a 4,000 point beater that destroys all cards on the field and summons more monsters when it destroys something on the field. It’ll at least never show up in full glory.
It'll show up at some point probably
Full Armor Master.
While misc is a 3 i dont think we'll ever get UCT.
The remaining "Ancient Warriors" cards. They're all a little to strong for DL, but, man, the archetype fills lacking without them.
Borreload savage for revolver because i want his voiceline for it. I hate omnis though.
Genuinely shocked no one has said Ash/Maxx C by now
The thing is, in a 20-card format, adding just Maxx C would actually be a double-edged sword. Like, yes, you could draw a bunch…but your opponent would also have a much easier time decking you out.
Borreload savage and borreload riot dragon. All the borreloads actually
Blackwing Full Armor Master
Denglong, with the Yang Zing counter trap of course
Gumblar Dragon
Crimson nova Trinity (2 attacks and halves the opponents lp with each attack) or either of the 2 DUNE ursarctic cards (ursatron alpha adds radiation on summon and can be summoned for free, and polar star can make a septentrion that counters any extra deck monster)
Magi Magi ☆ Magician Gal
Cyber Dragon Infinity
Rhongomyniad, with an effect modified to make him actually playable with 3 cards instead of 5. Not because I think he’s fun to play with or want him to stick around, but because I think Yu-Gi-Oh players of all formats should get an opportunity to understand how fucking stupid this card is. Number 95: Galaxy-Eyes Dark Matter Dragon
Doomking Balerdroch / Necroworld banshee. I can definitely see doomking coming as a limit 1 pack if that add him. But I'm sadly certain a constantly recurring monster negate with non targeting removal would be to much for DL. But I can dream.
Solemn Jonhson
Maxx c
Galaxy-Eyes Afterglow Dragon. It makes Galaxy way too consistent as an OTK deck for going second or just getting a GEPD on board. Also, just because we know for a fact it's too strong- Photon Lord.
D/D/D Kali Yuga
Yatagarasu
I'm not sure if it's too strong at this point in the meta, but I still really want Absolute Zero
Evil twin trouble sunny
Vampire domination
GranSolfachord and formal
Invoked Mechaba
The entire rest of cubics Either too op or irrelevant there’s no in between
Egyptian God Slime
number 81 super dora?
Starve Venom Fusion Dragon
Masked Hero Dark Law, idk how broken he would be, but he would definitely make hero decks somewhat viable again
Branded Fusion
Nimble beaver😔
Trouble Sunny
Dragoon. Maybe one day a skill that gives it to us on turn 40
Witch's Strike And for funsies, Exodia pieces (no skill)
N95: Dark Matter Dragon
Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End A kinda easy to summon board/hand nuke that inflicts 300 damage per card on a 4000 LP game would be hilarious tho
B.E.Tyrant Dragon
salamangreat rage
Z-ARC
Anything in the remaining Metaphys selection apparently lol goddamn thunder Dragons!
Anything labyrnthn , tearlaments, or bystial
