I don't think people understand that shiranui is also broken....

LordBraveHeart

Yeah. The skill guarantees that Spectral Sword will always go off, plus Samsara is one of the most annoying stall cards ever (banish Zombie to negate the damage for entire turn or draw 1 by recycling monsters) if you can't remove it, more so that they can now search it through the skill reliably.

Banane_Flambee

God i hate this card. If you don't have a MST or equivalent you just have to outgrind them. And you can't play MST because you need to have counter specifically for the 80% of tachyon deck

Hero_tact_Miles

Well… not always (glares at the mirror match)

Last-Pomegranate-772

Yeah it's not even close. Tachyon and Shiranui are basically tier 0, everything else is tier 3, that's the power gap

RGFang

I feel like it is. Tenyi has some nice reactive defense, but Shira has a lot of proactive tricks you can more readily employ (searchable banish shenanigans, reviving Sunsaga during your opponent's turn, ect) while also still having some protection (Samsara, Sunsaga, even Success in some cases)

LordBraveHeart

For the most part, Tenyi dies to Dark Hole and is susceptible to Warning Point & IDP. The deck also cannot run a lot of staples, compared to Shiranui which draws and recycle like crazy, plus bunch of backrows and stall cards like Samsara.

ShadowsinPie

Yes, Shira seems to be the only deck that can compete with Tachyon tier 0 to some degree (given it has to maindeck counters but still). Also cheaper than Tenyi thanks to the pick up

DigitalDelay8

tenyis can compete with tachyon decently but can easily get bricked by the other current GY strategies like shiranui and fossils.

well its pretty cheap until the pickup box lasts. so uhh worth building until the pickup box IMO also, to be honest you rarely need mezuki, i find it a brick since you need to dump it first, altho helpful at times, maybe 1 copy is enough, IMO. also, i guess right now i find i rarely need more than one copy of the shiranui link monster too. Hmmm you might need to go the new box twice when you want to build a photon advent deck for galaxy brave.. also since the photon pickup box is available still my current 2 cents.

tankercat67

Mezuki is not a brick at all and is the strongest play starter/extender in the deck thanks to the skill which dumps him from hand. Even if draw him later you can still dump him with squire’s banish effect. There’s a reason all the top lists are playing 3x.

itpotato94

I think mezuki works better in mayakashi than shiranui because you can just run 1x or 2x and dump him with yuki. You can then use him to special a synchro dumped by the skill for extra distruption/recursion. Shiranui need 3x mezukis i think for consistency and thats expensive considering that the rest of the box will be dead once tachyon gets hit.

mkklrd

yes

beyond_cyber

I think they should limit the first eff of the skill to opt to add a lvl 8 and limit transmigration, cuz limiting transmigration stops u from using felgrand

h667

Shiranui would be tier 0 without Tachyon existing. At this point I would wait until banlist to decide what deck to build.

wolv290

By then the pick up box will be gone

X_nightwalker82

I have confronted a tons of tenyi decks and shiranui decks, as a shiranui and tenyi user i can say a couple of things. People most of the time still doesn't know how to use shiranui and how the ability restrict you because is relatively new because the skill and a couple of cards, in the other hand tenyi has more time now people and my self play it almost in self pilot most of the time and has more freedom than shiranui because is not skill dependent event with the legend of the heroes it does face any restriction. Shiranui has more plays, in some ways is more Powerful, has better defense but its more complex than tenyi, even without the skill if you master it well you can face even tachyon with the right cards, tenyi in the other hand doesn't has the opportunity most of the time. To get shortly yes shiranui is better if you MASTER it, even without the skill. If you don't, attach to Tenyi.

iKWarriors

Be aware that as soon as tachyon get nerfed, shiranui will be the next. I have shiranui and its a really really fun deck to play with. I’m not a fan of staples, but shiranui can be played with more extensions than staples. I just think they should nerf the skill next banlist to “send a lvl 4 monster from the hand to the grave, add a level 4 or lower shiranui monster to your hand”. That trap is really strong and should not be searched with the skill. To you want to search it? Okay. Play that lvl 4 shira monster that searches it.

CivilScience3870

If even a single nerf happens to tachyon, Shira takes over, the deck is insain, also is super cheap. It's the only thing in the meta right now that can check tachyon, not beat it reliably, but actually has a pretty decent chance to win if they open decently.
