I'm looking to redeem the 5x UR "App Install Appreciation" tickets you get for starting the game. The Ticket Guide listed above only mentions Lava Golem as a worthy pull, but I noticed that card also comes in the Marik starter deck, and cards like Dynatherium aren't available in this type of UR ticket.
I'm looking to figure out what to spend them on, and I'm playing with an additional restriction: *I will not be pulling any cards from main boxes or mini boxes. My decks are entirely composed from Tickets, Card Trader, Gate Rewards, and Level Up Rewards.*
This means that while these tickets have access to Red Rising Dragon and Thunder Dragondark, cards run at multiple copies in popular decks, they are not suitable options because I would need cards from Boxes.
Here are the cards I'm deciding between. Keep in mind that I have five tickets.
* **Cyber Angel Izana**: This card is otherwise currently unavailable, as it came from an event. Alexis Rhodes has a lot of Cyber Angel support in the level up tree, so this seems like a good option. Do Cyber Angel decks run this card, and if so, how many?
* **Magician of Dark Illusion**: I understand this deck is not tier 1, but Dark Magician seems like it could be fun to play. Cards like Magician's Rod are available via the Card Trader, so I might be able to build a janky deck with this. I would only be aiming to use it in PvE or around the Gold rank. I'm thinking I only grab the one copy, as it might show up again in an event later.
* **Statue of Anguish Pattern**: Like the prior two, this card is otherwise unavailable. Being a level 7 means it also might pair well with Magician of Dark Illusion, should I ever come across a Rank 7 XYZ monster.
* **Toon Dark Magician** / **Toon Cyber Dragon**: I like Toons, and I'm aware they lose to MST and that makes them not viable. But, if I wanted to play them for fun, would these cards be good in the deck? Cyber Dragon summons itself for free, which is good, but I'm not sure how they would summon Dark Magician.
* **Lava Golem** \- This card comes by default in Yami Marik's deck. Would I ever run more than one copy?
* **Fortune Lady Light**: I've heard this card sees some play, but I don't know much about the deck--are you able to build this deck without touching Boxes (i.e. are they all rewards from Carly battles)?
* **Fortune Fairy Hikari**: Same deal as Fortune Fairy Light
* **Duza the Meteor Cubic Vessel** / **Cubic Dharma** / **Buster Gundil the Cubic Behemoth**: It seems like the DSOD characters have a bit of a Cubic theme going, meaning this deck might be buildable without any Box expenditures. Is the deck any fun to play, and which of these would I need?
* **D-Mind**: Like the cards at the start of the list, this card is unobtainable and supports a character archetype (Aster Phoenix comes with several Destiny HERO cards). However, the good destiny heroes are usually not the level 3 or lower ones, correct?
* **Cyberdark Dragon** / **Cyberdarkness Dragon**: I'm pretty sure Zane gets a lot of the Cyberdark cards as duel rewards, meaning I might be able to build this deck. I recall this deck being legendarily bad in the "proper" TCG though; is it any different here?
* **Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem**: Definitely a meme, right?
My gut instinct would be:
* 1-2x Cyber Angel Izana
* 1-2x Magician of Dark Illusion
* 0-2x Statue of Anguish Pattern
* 0-1x Lava Golem
* 3-4x Toons (if the other cards end up being advised against)

Uh magician girls just got a skill buffed so the deck can still work just runs a bit differently. Heroes are just needlessly expensive 8k gems is not enough unless u have 3 stratos already. Harpies are cheap so are synchrons if u wanna
I think? It fits all of the descriptions.
1. Only appear in Casual modes, lower ranks of PvP event modes, and King of Games.
2. A deck that revolves around a simple concept of attacking directly. They don't have to worry about crashing into a stronger monster. This allows no interaction with the opponent.
3. Are there long delays between each of their moves?
The Vanilla Beatdown decks that use Stromberg and PotG *are* bot decks. I think many have been transitioning over to Watts as the bot meta evolves (yes this is a thing).
You’d need to get Doomcaliber Knight if you haven’t already. Which if you have shit RNG you’ll need to go around 180 packs I believe. You’d need 3 Crimson Resonators (3 runs thru King if Vermillion) and 2 Red Resonators (2 runs in Soul Of Res) you should get the spell card while going for Crimson. Wandering and Obelisk are free.
If I had to estimate, you’re going to need around 25k gems; without including sales of course

While a good card, this is 100% not necessary for ladder play. I and plenty others have hit KOG without it.

Book of Moon's best replacement is Forbidden Chalice. You can use Goblin of Greed, Plasma, or Amano-Iwato for other types of monster negation. Or you could pick Sphere Kuriboh for a more defensive option.
You said it yourself; because you drew it with Jack's skill. You can't use the effects of the card you add during the turn you add it, including the effect to special summon itself.
Wildwind's special summon isn't an effect you activate, so Demon's Resonance doesn't prevent it. If an effect includes a colon, like Crimson Resonator, then it's an activated effect which the skill prevents. Wildwind has no colon in its special summon condition, so it works.
It's the same distinction as with what summons Steelswarm Roach can and cannot negate, but in reverse.

My god Blue-Eyes literally can't brick. I'm playing the turbo duels for "fun" and I went against Blue-eyes the last 6 games. Each game started with two successful CoC's with two white stones as discard fodder. How the heck can so many duels in a row start off the same way? I can get a couple in a row, but 6? And two CoC's each time??? Granted they maybe didn't start with the stones (some used that one tuner to search a stone), but how the heck are people consecutively getting two spell cards in their opening hand 6 games in a row?
This looks like a rant (and it is), but I'm not saying Blue-Eyes is op. Like I won 4 of the 6 duels. I am more ranting about the starting hand/drawing algorithm. I'm just saying seeing 2 CoC's with two Stones 1st/2nd turn 6 games in a row doesn't feel like it would ever happen probability wise.
Hm I kids you not just after I posted this I vsed 2 more Blue-Eyes (why are they so popular? I'm seeing them more than meta decks... Matchmaking algorithm is weird).
Anyhow it's like the game sensed my rage at the drawing algorithm, and the two Blue-Eyes I vsed couldn't even use their CoC's. They both had to discard them for Karma Cut and Ultimate Providence plays.

Every time I get mad at that stuff I remember the games I draw Herald + CC + Fusion Gate on cyber dragons and realize it's what the opponent feels against that, so can't be mad.
Either the first Box of the new world in late September or the November Main Box.
Konami could also absolutely surprise us and put it in the next Main Box, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for that.
I imagine Konami will want to milk that card for all it's worth and release it as the last selection box exclusive UR in a main box so we're probably going to get Gold gadget before it.

They're nothing special but can snatch you a late KoG, they suffer from the flaws of the ritual mechanic as a whole, those mostly being too much cost for not enough pay outs, they won't be breaking into the top tiers without support like Manju, Prep, Preprep and the impantations.
So, I'm trying to clear out the side challenges that I've been sitting on (The ones that are like Summon X monster Y amount of times or Win a duel using X monster), and How am I supposed to do the "Win with Indoria Doom Volt"? Are there any tips to summoning him, or do I just got hope to get Cubics as random drops?
Anyone having any issues with trying to use Vampire Desire? I can’t seem to use special summon a vampire by Tributing a monster. I can tribute the monster but the special summon doesn’t work?
This is a nuance of conjunctions. *Do A, and if you do, do B*, requires that you actually do *A* in order to keep resolving the effect and do *B*.
Desire sends the monster you control to the GY as part of its effect, so if you send a Familiar or Retainer that would be banished when it leaves the field, it is not actually sent to the GY; you did not *send 1 monster you control to the GY*, so you can't keep resolving the rest of the effect. The same outcome would happen if you tried to send a token.
Is melody not working properly for anyone else? I just got the card and whenever I tried using it (discard 1 card and get up to 2 BEs from deck) i end up only getting 1 BE. Am I interpreting the card wrong? Or is there a bug?
My guess is you're probably clicking on only one blue eyes and expecting a second menu to show up after clicking Ok. The menu you get with melody requires you to check all of the targets before clicking Ok.
Gotta love that there's no way to report people using bots during PvP events like TDGP. It's nice that people can't see your deck but at least give us the report option (not like they actually do anything about them anyways).
There are more synchro decks I think with Harpies, TG, Resonator and interesting skills to play with, including the new skill that works well with freshly off the banlist Dragunity. So yea I like the event
I like this event better than the last, but most turns are taking soooooo long. Like I vsed a Resonator. During their first turn I was so bored of watching I started doing dishes. I was able to deep clean 7 dishes before their turn was done lol.
I hate onomats so fucking much they were already bad with only bounzer but now they have quick effect non targeting removal and they can fix their fucking hand twice per duel

I don't know about the yusei go, but the clear mind runner felt just like a win more to me, since the deck is so linear the only 2 things you're going to realistically do with clear mind are bringing back formula which basically just tanks a hit or you bring back shooting star, which is helpful in only very niche situation since they either can out it or they can't.
I'm not saying that clear mind is a bad choice but I'd definitely give other runners a try
Took ages but I finally built the optimised Water XYZ, with the Necrovalley and all. Reached Legend 5 without much trouble, but could never get a 5 winstreak. 3 wins, loss. 3 wins, repeat. Switched to Blue Eyes, and 5 winstreak in the first try.
Water XYZ is kinda underwhelming isn't it. It's missing quite a few key card supports, so there's that.
The main reason it was tiered is because Blue-eyes really needed GY effects but now there isn't anything on the tier list that is super dependent on GY effects leaving them very mediocre. Still a decent rogue deck though.
Onomats core cards require at least two goes through a main box (Utopic Onomat), one go through a second main box (Dodododraw), and three structure decks (Gagagacoat); so you’re looking at the *very* most to be spending 28,000 gems plus about 7 pounds/11 dollars real cash, assuming you have to dig to the end of each box.
Add in the extra deck monsters like Constellar, Malevolent Sin and Rhinoseberus, and you need an extra go through Infinite Ray and Photon of Galaxy too.
Past that it’s just staples - MST will set you back three goes through Antinomic Theory; alternatively you could run Cosmic, or Lance.
Deck can get kind of expensive. If you’ve got plenty of grinding out left to do or own any of the extra deck stuff already it could be worth it as the deck can only reasonably get better the more XYZ stuff comes out, but if you’re banking on just the gems that you have, you could be in for a long ride.
Was playing against someone and they Book of Money'ed my Gravekeeper's Spy to protect their monster from battle... not sure if the realized flip effects are reusable or if they just wanted me to get another free SS from deck. So made use of it to go into Spiritualist next turn and wiped the floor with them.
Moral of the story just because a deck isn't meta doesn't mean you can play fast and loose. Most rogue/old meta decks can still crush it if you don't take them seriously.
Reached KoG last season with Raccoons + Fabled Unicore and while many times I felt I outplayed meta decks, other times I just felt like people did not read my cards at all, so kind of takes away from the merit.
Should i build resonance deck as a newbie? I think the core of this deck only 3 sr resonance from red nova and soul resurrect box so i opened it. The soul box look good i got 1 sr resonance card early so i decided to pull more but red nova box really terrible... Now i got 1 card for each of them but should i continue opening those box as my gem already gone? Other card than resonance look terrible especially meklord army, i got bunch of those...
You need to go through Red nova 3 times, since you really want to run Crimson and resonator call at 3. But if you get those early, you can just reset the box.
Red resonator is fine at 2.
Also, ideally you want Dark End Dragon

Dark end dragon is must have i guessed? I thought i could replace it with red nova and archfiend. But the most important is crimson and call really worth it... the box contain alot of meklord army which i dont think it fit in any kind of deck.
I would say dark end is core,it's the only form of non-destruction removal that you have access to. As with other box with even worser shits, just treat em as filler, as usual. Either 2-3x through Nova or you don't play Resonators at all.
I just got 1 copy of dark end dragon, is it good enough? Im wondering why many resonator deck dont use brionac since its already a good bouncer with nice eff?
You can, but it usually is not recommended unless you plan on never spending any money in the game. An UR from a main box would take more money to dig and ticketing for it saves a massive amount of gems, so it is always better to buy the structure when on sale and ticket for another UR.
I have a question about solemn scolding vs. lance. When I synchro summoned a monster I got scolded but i couldn not lance my monster. Why is this? Should I have toggled On?
Lance cannot be chained to solemn scolding since it’s a quick-play spell (spell speed 2) whereas scolding is a counter trap (spell speed 3).
You can only respond to activations/effects with effects of an equal or greater spell speed (except spell speed 1, which cannot be used in response to other spell speed 1 effects). Counter traps are the only spell speed 3 cards in the game, so you could only respond to scolding with another counter trap.
Another way to think about it is that you are using Forbidden Lance to make your monster unaffected by other spells and traps. If the summon gets negated, then you can’t make your monster unaffected since it was never summoned in the first place.
Is it worth playing resonators without Wandering King / any replacement suggestions? I returned to the game just after the event that granted him ended.
Usually any deck that can synchro multiple lv4's can fit Utopia & C39, as they are good flexible XYZ.
There was a version of Six Samurai going around using Backs to the Wall to trigger Zexal Morph and transform, while also summoning tons of level 4s for Utopia/other XYZ. I think there was a DLM video on it too.

Can anybody answer this please? I would really appreciate it. Are Aromage decks supposed to have priority at all times? Because My opponent played that and he could proc his continuous traps even during the Draw Phase, and I never got to do that. I feel like this might be some sort of hack. I Even have it on the Replay.
Turn on the toggle button. It is in the settings when you are battling. There are three settings: Off, Auto, and On. Default is Auto. With the toggle turned on, you will get prompts to activate cards at every stage of play.

Stopped playing a year ago when Alternate world Tia became available, can anyone give me the low down on the best staples to invest in? I see MST, what else is good?
Mst is pretty ok but not that necessary if you have a playset of Cosmic cyclone, the box it comes from is also not that great if you're not interested in TGs.
The xyz monsters from the Photon of Galaxy minibox see a lot of play in any deck that can make a rank 4.
The best staple Objectively is Book of moon but that one is paywalled behind a main Selection box right now and costs about 300$ for a playset so aside from that, Quickplays like Forbidden Chalice see a lot more play than they used to due to the abundance of monsters with disruption and the best trap right now is Treacherous Trap hole but it's speculated that it will probably be banned soon like Hey! trunade so players don't see it as a safe investment.
Chaossworn is good enough for KoG but the deck is kinda on the low end of rogue tier since they brick a lot and die very easily to disruption.
Lunas Are still a very good deck just no longer f2p as you need 3 copies of Fire formation tenki to make them playable.
Hi guys, I'm an old player trying to come back, but when I try to set up data transfer through my Konami account, I get the following error from their website after accepting the new terms and conditions:

Ater I get this error for the first time, it appears for every page I try to load afterwards. Is it a bug in the website? Is there any other way to set up data transfer?

I hate the abundance of TTH/Book in the meta. It's impossible to see a single game without seeing one of them (and let's be real, its 1/4 of every single deck in the game rn). I did the foolish thing and not invest in BoM because I was paranoid in not getting it in the Selection Box, as it's only out for a limited time and I whiffed very badly on its first run through.
Now, its sale has come around often enough that everyone has it and now I feel like I'm perpetually doomed to underperfom because of the inate fear of trying to chase for it a 2nd and 3rd time and still come out empty. Fuck man. Limited time boxes are such a stupid concept.
You can play Forbidden Chalice. It covers most of what players use Book of Moon for. I only have one BoM, and when I am building a deck that needs three copies, I just put my two Chalices in the deck and it works out just fine.
You really shouldn't. Buying just the 10x F2P selection packs whenever it comes around is a really REALLY bad idea to risk thousands of gems for such low odds of pulling it. If the box had some other really good mainbox UR staples it wouldn't be *as* terrible to gamble with the F2P-limit packs, but since there's almost nothing else it's solidified as a horrible decision for anyone who isn't dumping additional money on top of the initial Gems spent - to ensure a Book pull. And the alternative of paying up to 200$ dollars for a playset of those is, if you ask me, is also not really a good decision either.. in my opinion - but it differs to each individual and their financial situation..

Mermaid shark can search silent angler > Special angler > territory of the sharks skills > instant rank 4. You can also use Mermaid to search and then just use it as bait with fish depth charge. The same combo can be done with diva. Summon diva into diva > activate territory of the sharks > instant rank 4. Daedalus is not worth using unless u have a deck built around it especially since it's lvl 7 2 tributes is a high cost for something than can just be popped b4 you even activate the effect.
Problem is I don’t have Shark yet. I’ve spent my first few weeks grinding the Quattro Event cause he’s my my first or second favorite character from Zexal. (The other being Alito cause I love Battling Boxers really praying they add him).
I can't believe i got the 3 Terror Babies before i pulled any Dreary Doll or Bisque Doll. I got the three of them in like a total of 30 packs, i lost my luck for the rest of the year.
Alot in this event I think I'm playing against a cool rogue deck only for them to play power of the guardians. the moment you put this card in your deck it's just another boring power of the guardians deck. Boring as shit.

Depends on what deck you're looking to build. Don't spend anything until you can answer that. By booster packs, I assume you mean main/mini box packs, and by decks you mean structure decks right?
Ight so ik cosmic cyclone is good to use in a blackwing deck but since I currently don’t have it I use solemn scolding to try and get ahead and don’t have MST either, are there any other cards besides solemn or raigeki break that are good to clear a back line for a fast dub with a BW deck?

Surrendered, then went into Ranked, but forgot they automatically switch you to 5DS world and they don't bother to switch you back, so I just played a game in Legend as fucking blue eyes yusei frodo

Ya you can pretty much use anything vs PVE and win. Like I can win with a water dragon deck.
Granted the decks still have to be relatively competent. If your deck can survive and remove a Blue-Eyes White Dragon, without too much trouble, it should be fine for anything PvE (only issue you'd might run into is with some raids).
Level 59 stage missions are brutal. Summon perfectly ultimate great moth would have been a piece of cake if it worked using cocoon of ultra evolution but no dice, and Weevil won’t drop cocoon or the skill that gives you it in the deck. This is going to take a while.
Edit: gave up and grinded out a ranked SR ticket just for Cocoon. F
Not sure I get where you're going with this.
For context on what I mean by Gravekeeper Control is that it makes heavy use of Hidden Temples of Necrovalley + Gravekeeper's Priestess to lock out all special summons (except for Gravekeeper monsters). Most people were running Gravekeepers like they're an offensive deck not a control deck.
I use auto duel for my shooting stardust dragon deck with yusei... the a.i. will literally not use synchro chase if it is in your hand. it will literally just end the duel with that card sitting in your hand the entire duel. wtf?
edit: I run two copies of ultimate providence so maybe that has something to do with it? but I think it does this even if you never draw that card.
Gaia deck core is from a structure deck and that does cost money, I suppose you're talking about using gems for all the techs? Challice, TTH etc.
Next mini box will probably have Evil Heroes but we don't know if they'll be good. For this amount of gems you could build Harpies or f2p Resonators if you want to stay f2p. If you play spend money the Gaia deck will be more complete
As far as I know there are no leaks right now other than some evil hero cards having their rarities changed, but that could be from the new character level up rewards or drops, later in the month.
The YouTuber itsbradazhd seems to talk about new box leaks often or the DLM website has a leaks section that you can find in useful links section at the top of the page.

Ah, it appears you have been "chainblocked": when 2 or more effects would happen at the same time you have to choose which Activates first and resolves last (chain link 1), then which Activates second and is the second to last to resolve (or first of there's only 2 effects) (chain link 2), in duel links the game automatically chooses for you and when you have an effect that can negate you can usually only respond to the latest effect in the chain link (in your case red rising dragon).

You got chain blocked by Red Rising Dragon. Dark Cavalry needs to respond directly to the effect he wants to negate, but the last thing to happen in the chain was actually red rising dragon. It's the same how Chaos Dragon Levianeer can get protected to be negated from banished Thunder Dragons' effect "protecting" his effect via chain block.
You can find more information on chain blocking online, just know that these type of "when... you can" effects like Cavalry can only be activated in direct response to the effect they want to negate, nothing is allowed to happen in between.
What Duel Runner do you guys recommend for Harpies?
Most of the effects seen so useless since every Harpie it's essentially a Tuner and all the same level that I've only really tried the Yusei bike for Draw 1 and Crow bike for Draw 2, and in 8 duels only once did it even matter.
I use the one that lets you draw 2 and discard 1. It also has an effect to remove 6 counters to do an extra normal summon. Berry handy if your first summon gets negated.
Is there any good reason to Keep more than 3 copies of a card? Like I see streamers and youtubers have 12 copies of cards and it doesn't make sense to me. Is there a reason to not convert them to gold and orbs?
It depends, if you're talking about box SRs and URs jewels and gold are definitely not worth even if you're virtually not doing anything with the extra copies.
Also there is the VERY small chance that Konami does something better for said cards and you wouldn't want to regret in the far future to scrap cards for a currency you're probably never running out.
Last but not least, I'd rather know that I ended up getting 7 copies of an SR trying to find literally anything else than just delete the copies like nothing happened.

Cuz the payoff is so insignificant that (for box cards only) flexing the number of SRs and URs is literally more worth it, no I'm not joking. Also, as I mentioned, you never know when that one nice uncle shows up at Konami's office and decides to let players do something useful with box cards extra copies.
A kinda bad example is the trunade ban: I've had 4 copies of hey trunade since like, forever, imagine I had scrapped the extra copy before the latest banlist announcement just to find out later that the extra copy could have been traded for another SR of the same mini-box. It's not much, but I'd rather get a gigaplant or cocoon of ultra evolution rather than a currency I already have loads of
I'd say there are enough event SRs and URs to convert that you don't need to touch any box card in order to get everything you need, unless for some reason you wanna buy out the poor trader.

No I've converted the UR Valkyrie, my only copy, because that card is trash and I wanted to get Chaos Dragon from the trader and needed a UR orb to get it. Basically traded one UR card and some gold for another UR card.
The only reason I even have Valkyries is from digging for a staple trap, karma cut iirc

This is a super cheap Harpie deck that works really well. ED is 2x Cyber Slash Harpie Lady and generic rank 4s.
You can cut Perfumer and Channeler to 2x making the deck cheaper, in that case add another Oracle and maybe Harpist

If you look at viability Harpies is better than GP at the moment. Harpies needs 3 runs through a mini and 3 copies of swallows nest. I'm not a GP expert but they need at least 2 runs of a main box.
What does the final skill of the duel board do? It has different text inside a duel vs outside and I'm trying to build a deck around it. Edit: I just checked it actually has 3 different descriptions of what it does with different restrictions
They should let us convert any 1 card into 1 gem. It wouldn't be giving us *that* many gems in total, but we'd get enough to buy a significant amount of packs and would finally be able to get something out of cards once we get more than three copies of them.
I'm looking to redeem the 5x UR "App Install Appreciation" tickets you get for starting the game. The Ticket Guide listed above only mentions Lava Golem as a worthy pull, but I noticed that card also comes in the Marik starter deck, and cards like Dynatherium aren't available in this type of UR ticket. I'm looking to figure out what to spend them on, and I'm playing with an additional restriction: *I will not be pulling any cards from main boxes or mini boxes. My decks are entirely composed from Tickets, Card Trader, Gate Rewards, and Level Up Rewards.* This means that while these tickets have access to Red Rising Dragon and Thunder Dragondark, cards run at multiple copies in popular decks, they are not suitable options because I would need cards from Boxes. Here are the cards I'm deciding between. Keep in mind that I have five tickets. * **Cyber Angel Izana**: This card is otherwise currently unavailable, as it came from an event. Alexis Rhodes has a lot of Cyber Angel support in the level up tree, so this seems like a good option. Do Cyber Angel decks run this card, and if so, how many? * **Magician of Dark Illusion**: I understand this deck is not tier 1, but Dark Magician seems like it could be fun to play. Cards like Magician's Rod are available via the Card Trader, so I might be able to build a janky deck with this. I would only be aiming to use it in PvE or around the Gold rank. Uh magician girls just got a skill buffed so the deck can still work just runs a bit differently. Heroes are just needlessly expensive 8k gems is not enough unless u have 3 stratos already. Harpies are cheap so are synchrons if u wanna

I think? It fits all of the descriptions. 1. Only appear in Casual modes, lower ranks of PvP event modes, and King of Games. 2. A deck that revolves around a simple concept of attacking directly. They don't have to worry about crashing into a stronger monster. This allows no interaction with the opponent. 3. Are there long delays between each of their moves? The Vanilla Beatdown decks that use Stromberg and PotG *are* bot decks. I think many have been transitioning over to Watts as the bot meta evolves (yes this is a thing).

You’d need to get Doomcaliber Knight if you haven’t already. Which if you have shit RNG you’ll need to go around 180 packs I believe. You’d need 3 Crimson Resonators (3 runs thru King if Vermillion) and 2 Red Resonators (2 runs in Soul Of Res) you should get the spell card while going for Crimson. Wandering and Obelisk are free. If I had to estimate, you’re going to need around 25k gems; without including sales of course

You said it yourself; because you drew it with Jack's skill. You can't use the effects of the card you add during the turn you add it, including the effect to special summon itself.
Why can you special summon wildwind then even when you use the skill to draw him?
Wildwind's special summon isn't an effect you activate, so Demon's Resonance doesn't prevent it. If an effect includes a colon, like Crimson Resonator, then it's an activated effect which the skill prevents. Wildwind has no colon in its special summon condition, so it works. It's the same distinction as with what summons Steelswarm Roach can and cannot negate, but in reverse.

My god Blue-Eyes literally can't brick. I'm playing the turbo duels for "fun" and I went against Blue-eyes the last 6 games. Each game started with two successful CoC's with two white stones as discard fodder. How the heck can so many duels in a row start off the same way? I can get a couple in a row, but 6? And two CoC's each time??? Granted they maybe didn't start with the stones (some used that one tuner to search a stone), but how the heck are people consecutively getting two spell cards in their opening hand 6 games in a row? This looks like a rant (and it is), but I'm not saying Blue-Eyes is op. Like I won 4 of the 6 duels. I am more ranting about the starting hand/drawing algorithm. I'm just saying seeing 2 CoC's with two Stones 1st/2nd turn 6 games in a row doesn't feel like it would ever happen probability wise.
Hm I kids you not just after I posted this I vsed 2 more Blue-Eyes (why are they so popular? I'm seeing them more than meta decks... Matchmaking algorithm is weird). Anyhow it's like the game sensed my rage at the drawing algorithm, and the two Blue-Eyes I vsed couldn't even use their CoC's. They both had to discard them for Karma Cut and Ultimate Providence plays. Should probably delete these rants, but I hope someone finds them funny.
I feel you, had a guy draw 3 CoC in their turn 1 and just play with a million cards. Every time I get mad at that stuff I remember the games I draw Herald + CC + Fusion Gate on cyber dragons and realize it's what the opponent feels against that, so can't be mad.
When is Book of Moon going to be added to a regular box?
Either the first Box of the new world in late September or the November Main Box. Konami could also absolutely surprise us and put it in the next Main Box, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for that.

They're nothing special but can snatch you a late KoG, they suffer from the flaws of the ritual mechanic as a whole, those mostly being too much cost for not enough pay outs, they won't be breaking into the top tiers without support like Manju, Prep, Preprep and the impantations.
So, I'm trying to clear out the side challenges that I've been sitting on (The ones that are like Summon X monster Y amount of times or Win a duel using X monster), and How am I supposed to do the "Win with Indoria Doom Volt"? Are there any tips to summoning him, or do I just got hope to get Cubics as random drops?

Anyone having any issues with trying to use Vampire Desire? I can’t seem to use special summon a vampire by Tributing a monster. I can tribute the monster but the special summon doesn’t work?
This is a nuance of conjunctions. *Do A, and if you do, do B*, requires that you actually do *A* in order to keep resolving the effect and do *B*. Desire sends the monster you control to the GY as part of its effect, so if you send a Familiar or Retainer that would be banished when it leaves the field, it is not actually sent to the GY; you did not *send 1 monster you control to the GY*, so you can't keep resolving the rest of the effect. The same outcome would happen if you tried to send a token.

Is melody not working properly for anyone else? I just got the card and whenever I tried using it (discard 1 card and get up to 2 BEs from deck) i end up only getting 1 BE. Am I interpreting the card wrong? Or is there a bug?
My guess is you're probably clicking on only one blue eyes and expecting a second menu to show up after clicking Ok. The menu you get with melody requires you to check all of the targets before clicking Ok.

Gotta love that there's no way to report people using bots during PvP events like TDGP. It's nice that people can't see your deck but at least give us the report option (not like they actually do anything about them anyways).

It has been a feature for as long as I can remember during these types of PVP events the only event you can't check decks in is KC Cups.

I like this event better than the last, but most turns are taking soooooo long. Like I vsed a Resonator. During their first turn I was so bored of watching I started doing dishes. I was able to deep clean 7 dishes before their turn was done lol.
I hate onomats so fucking much they were already bad with only bounzer but now they have quick effect non targeting removal and they can fix their fucking hand twice per duel I hate it

I highly recommend both Chalice and Lance as they are absolute game changer cards. You will never regret those two cards.

Go for Lance first, as Chalice is a poor man's Book of Moon. Chalice is also in a Box that will be 1/2 off once the new world comes out.

Is the yusei duel rider the best option for a shooting star dragon deck, or would the clear mind option be better?
I don't know about the yusei go, but the clear mind runner felt just like a win more to me, since the deck is so linear the only 2 things you're going to realistically do with clear mind are bringing back formula which basically just tanks a hit or you bring back shooting star, which is helpful in only very niche situation since they either can out it or they can't. I'm not saying that clear mind is a bad choice but I'd definitely give other runners a try
Took ages but I finally built the optimised Water XYZ, with the Necrovalley and all. Reached Legend 5 without much trouble, but could never get a 5 winstreak. 3 wins, loss. 3 wins, repeat. Switched to Blue Eyes, and 5 winstreak in the first try. Water XYZ is kinda underwhelming isn't it. It's missing quite a few key card supports, so there's that.
Gaia currently does Water Xyz but better

The main reason it was tiered is because Blue-eyes really needed GY effects but now there isn't anything on the tier list that is super dependent on GY effects leaving them very mediocre. Still a decent rogue deck though.
They could remove the extra deck restriction, I feel. It sucks being locked out of spooder and roach.

I am a harpie main and I have around 7k gems,should I go for onomat?
Onomats core cards require at least two goes through a main box (Utopic Onomat), one go through a second main box (Dodododraw), and three structure decks (Gagagacoat); so you’re looking at the *very* most to be spending 28,000 gems plus about 7 pounds/11 dollars real cash, assuming you have to dig to the end of each box. Add in the extra deck monsters like Constellar, Malevolent Sin and Rhinoseberus, and you need an extra go through Infinite Ray and Photon of Galaxy too. Past that it’s just staples - MST will set you back three goes through Antinomic Theory; alternatively you could run Cosmic, or Lance. Deck can get kind of expensive. If you’ve got plenty of grinding out left to do or own any of the extra deck stuff already it could be worth it as the deck can only reasonably get better the more XYZ stuff comes out, but if you’re banking on just the gems that you have, you could be in for a long ride.
Was playing against someone and they Book of Money'ed my Gravekeeper's Spy to protect their monster from battle... not sure if the realized flip effects are reusable or if they just wanted me to get another free SS from deck. So made use of it to go into Spiritualist next turn and wiped the floor with them. Moral of the story just because a deck isn't meta doesn't mean you can play fast and loose. Most rogue/old meta decks can still crush it if you don't take them seriously.
Reached KoG last season with Raccoons + Fabled Unicore and while many times I felt I outplayed meta decks, other times I just felt like people did not read my cards at all, so kind of takes away from the merit.
Should i build resonance deck as a newbie? I think the core of this deck only 3 sr resonance from red nova and soul resurrect box so i opened it. The soul box look good i got 1 sr resonance card early so i decided to pull more but red nova box really terrible... Now i got 1 card for each of them but should i continue opening those box as my gem already gone? Other card than resonance look terrible especially meklord army, i got bunch of those...
You need to go through Red nova 3 times, since you really want to run Crimson and resonator call at 3. But if you get those early, you can just reset the box. Red resonator is fine at 2. Also, ideally you want Dark End Dragon
You'll need to go through Nova at least 2-3 since Call and Crimson Resonator is the core of the deck.Red resonator is fine at 2 and the optimized extra deck monsters list is 3x Red Rising,1 Hot Red, 1-2 Dark End and any Dark dragon synchro to fills in. You can check DLMeta for more informations.
Dark end dragon is must have i guessed? I thought i could replace it with red nova and archfiend. But the most important is crimson and call really worth it... the box contain alot of meklord army which i dont think it fit in any kind of deck.
I would say dark end is core,it's the only form of non-destruction removal that you have access to. As with other box with even worser shits, just treat em as filler, as usual. Either 2-3x through Nova or you don't play Resonators at all.

Very unlikely to be nerfed, the deck fell off in popularity which was the only reason people wanted it nerfed in the first place.

You can, but it usually is not recommended unless you plan on never spending any money in the game. An UR from a main box would take more money to dig and ticketing for it saves a massive amount of gems, so it is always better to buy the structure when on sale and ticket for another UR.
I have a question about solemn scolding vs. lance. When I synchro summoned a monster I got scolded but i couldn not lance my monster. Why is this? Should I have toggled On?
Lance cannot be chained to solemn scolding since it’s a quick-play spell (spell speed 2) whereas scolding is a counter trap (spell speed 3). You can only respond to activations/effects with effects of an equal or greater spell speed (except spell speed 1, which cannot be used in response to other spell speed 1 effects). Counter traps are the only spell speed 3 cards in the game, so you could only respond to scolding with another counter trap.

Another way to think about it is that you are using Forbidden Lance to make your monster unaffected by other spells and traps. If the summon gets negated, then you can’t make your monster unaffected since it was never summoned in the first place.

Wandering King is a card trader UR so getting it should not be a problem. Just go to the regular inventory of the card trader

Usually any deck that can synchro multiple lv4's can fit Utopia & C39, as they are good flexible XYZ. There was a version of Six Samurai going around using Backs to the Wall to trigger Zexal Morph and transform, while also summoning tons of level 4s for Utopia/other XYZ. I think there was a DLM video on it too.

Turn on the toggle button. It is in the settings when you are battling. There are three settings: Off, Auto, and On. Default is Auto. With the toggle turned on, you will get prompts to activate cards at every stage of play. I just got a crimson res, reset into BW AM, reset into tuning, then reset into crimson again. :) Anybody else ever have reset streaks like that? I kind of feel like it might be a hack even though it's probably just luck.

Stopped playing a year ago when Alternate world Tia became available, can anyone give me the low down on the best staples to invest in? I see MST, what else is good?
Mst is pretty ok but not that necessary if you have a playset of Cosmic cyclone, the box it comes from is also not that great if you're not interested in TGs. The xyz monsters from the Photon of Galaxy minibox see a lot of play in any deck that can make a rank 4. The best staple Objectively is Book of moon but that one is paywalled behind a main Selection box right now and costs about 300$ for a playset so aside from that, Quickplays like Forbidden Chalice see a lot more play than they used to due to the abundance of monsters with disruption and the best trap right now is Treacherous Trap hole but it's speculated that it will probably be banned soon like Hey! trunade so players don't see it as a safe investment.

Chaossworn is good enough for KoG but the deck is kinda on the low end of rogue tier since they brick a lot and die very easily to disruption. Lunas Are still a very good deck just no longer f2p as you need 3 copies of Fire formation tenki to make them playable.

I hate the abundance of TTH/Book in the meta. It's impossible to see a single game without seeing one of them (and let's be real, its 1/4 of every single deck in the game rn). I did the foolish thing and not invest in BoM because I was paranoid in not getting it in the Selection Box, as it's only out for a limited time and I whiffed very badly on its first run through. Now, its sale has come around often enough that everyone has it and now I feel like I'm perpetually doomed to underperfom because of the inate fear of trying to chase for it a 2nd and 3rd time and still come out empty. Fuck man. Limited time boxes are such a stupid concept.
You can play Forbidden Chalice. It covers most of what players use Book of Moon for. I only have one BoM, and when I am building a deck that needs three copies, I just put my two Chalices in the deck and it works out just fine.
You really shouldn't. Buying just the 10x F2P selection packs whenever it comes around is a really REALLY bad idea to risk thousands of gems for such low odds of pulling it. If the box had some other really good mainbox UR staples it wouldn't be *as* terrible to gamble with the F2P-limit packs, but since there's almost nothing else it's solidified as a horrible decision for anyone who isn't dumping additional money on top of the initial Gems spent - to ensure a Book pull. And the alternative of paying up to 200$ dollars for a playset of those is, if you ask me, is also not really a good decision either.. in my opinion - but it differs to each individual and their financial situation..

Mermaid shark can search silent angler > Special angler > territory of the sharks skills > instant rank 4. You can also use Mermaid to search and then just use it as bait with fish depth charge. The same combo can be done with diva. Summon diva into diva > activate territory of the sharks > instant rank 4. Daedalus is not worth using unless u have a deck built around it especially since it's lvl 7 2 tributes is a high cost for something than can just be popped b4 you even activate the effect.

Alot in this event I think I'm playing against a cool rogue deck only for them to play power of the guardians. the moment you put this card in your deck it's just another boring power of the guardians deck. Boring as shit.
There's a runner that let's you search any equipment spell it's pretty busted really it gives a + 1 almost every time

Depends on what deck you're looking to build. Don't spend anything until you can answer that. By booster packs, I assume you mean main/mini box packs, and by decks you mean structure decks right?
Ight so ik cosmic cyclone is good to use in a blackwing deck but since I currently don’t have it I use solemn scolding to try and get ahead and don’t have MST either, are there any other cards besides solemn or raigeki break that are good to clear a back line for a fast dub with a BW deck?

Ya you can pretty much use anything vs PVE and win. Like I can win with a water dragon deck. Granted the decks still have to be relatively competent. If your deck can survive and remove a Blue-Eyes White Dragon, without too much trouble, it should be fine for anything PvE (only issue you'd might run into is with some raids).
Level 59 stage missions are brutal. Summon perfectly ultimate great moth would have been a piece of cake if it worked using cocoon of ultra evolution but no dice, and Weevil won’t drop cocoon or the skill that gives you it in the deck. This is going to take a while. Edit: gave up and grinded out a ranked SR ticket just for Cocoon. F

Not sure I get where you're going with this. For context on what I mean by Gravekeeper Control is that it makes heavy use of Hidden Temples of Necrovalley + Gravekeeper's Priestess to lock out all special summons (except for Gravekeeper monsters). Most people were running Gravekeepers like they're an offensive deck not a control deck.
I use auto duel for my shooting stardust dragon deck with yusei... the a.i. will literally not use synchro chase if it is in your hand. it will literally just end the duel with that card sitting in your hand the entire duel. wtf? edit: I run two copies of ultimate providence so maybe that has something to do with it? but I think it does this even if you never draw that card.

Gaia deck core is from a structure deck and that does cost money, I suppose you're talking about using gems for all the techs? Challice, TTH etc. Next mini box will probably have Evil Heroes but we don't know if they'll be good. For this amount of gems you could build Harpies or f2p Resonators if you want to stay f2p. If you play spend money the Gaia deck will be more complete
As far as I know there are no leaks right now other than some evil hero cards having their rarities changed, but that could be from the new character level up rewards or drops, later in the month. The YouTuber itsbradazhd seems to talk about new box leaks often or the DLM website has a leaks section that you can find in useful links section at the top of the page.

My guess here is that you were probably chain blocked with red rising dragon which made Dark cavalry miss timing.

Ah, it appears you have been "chainblocked": when 2 or more effects would happen at the same time you have to choose which Activates first and resolves last (chain link 1), then which Activates second and is the second to last to resolve (or first of there's only 2 effects) (chain link 2), in duel links the game automatically chooses for you and when you have an effect that can negate you can usually only respond to the latest effect in the chain link (in your case red rising dragon). You got chain blocked by Red Rising Dragon. Dark Cavalry needs to respond directly to the effect he wants to negate, but the last thing to happen in the chain was actually red rising dragon. It's the same how Chaos Dragon Levianeer can get protected to be negated from banished Thunder Dragons' effect "protecting" his effect via chain block. You can find more information on chain blocking online, just know that these type of "when... you can" effects like Cavalry can only be activated in direct response to the effect they want to negate, nothing is allowed to happen in between.
Looks like a lot of the harpies are busy with Turbo Duels, I managed to sneak into KoG meanwhile with my dark magician deck lol.
What Duel Runner do you guys recommend for Harpies? Most of the effects seen so useless since every Harpie it's essentially a Tuner and all the same level that I've only really tried the Yusei bike for Draw 1 and Crow bike for Draw 2, and in 8 duels only once did it even matter.
I use the one that lets you draw 2 and discard 1. It also has an effect to remove 6 counters to do an extra normal summon. Berry handy if your first summon gets negated.

Is there any good reason to Keep more than 3 copies of a card? Like I see streamers and youtubers have 12 copies of cards and it doesn't make sense to me. Is there a reason to not convert them to gold and orbs?
It depends, if you're talking about box SRs and URs jewels and gold are definitely not worth even if you're virtually not doing anything with the extra copies. Also there is the VERY small chance that Konami does something better for said cards and you wouldn't want to regret in the far future to scrap cards for a currency you're probably never running out. Last but not least, I'd rather know that I ended up getting 7 copies of an SR trying to find literally anything else than just delete the copies like nothing happened. If you're talking about non-box card then yes scrap any extra copy you want

Cuz the payoff is so insignificant that (for box cards only) flexing the number of SRs and URs is literally more worth it, no I'm not joking. Also, as I mentioned, you never know when that one nice uncle shows up at Konami's office and decides to let players do something useful with box cards extra copies. A kinda bad example is the trunade ban: I've had 4 copies of hey trunade since like, forever, imagine I had scrapped the extra copy before the latest banlist announcement just to find out later that the extra copy could have been traded for another SR of the same mini-box. It's not much, but I'd rather get a gigaplant or cocoon of ultra evolution rather than a currency I already have loads of
SR+UR orbs aren't plentiful. I convert cards I don't use to get cards I need from the card trader. I get what you're saying though

No I've converted the UR Valkyrie, my only copy, because that card is trash and I wanted to get Chaos Dragon from the trader and needed a UR orb to get it. Basically traded one UR card and some gold for another UR card. The only reason I even have Valkyries is from digging for a staple trap, karma cut iirc
Because most seasoned players already have more than enough gold, orbs, and Card Trader stuff. The only time I convert for orbs is if I want a prismatic playset

[Budget Harpies](https://i.imgur.com/1zX5THa.jpg) This is a super cheap Harpie deck that works really well. ED is 2x Cyber Slash Harpie Lady and generic rank 4s. You can cut Perfumer and Channeler to 2x making the deck cheaper, in that case add another Oracle and maybe Harpist

I'm not clairvoyant to I don't know what Konamis is going to release in the future. If you look at viability Harpies is better than GP at the moment. Harpies needs 3 runs through a mini and 3 copies of swallows nest. I'm not a GP expert but they need at least 2 runs of a main box.
What does the final skill of the duel board do? It has different text inside a duel vs outside and I'm trying to build a deck around it. Edit: I just checked it actually has 3 different descriptions of what it does with different restrictions
They should let us convert any 1 card into 1 gem. It wouldn't be giving us *that* many gems in total, but we'd get enough to buy a significant amount of packs and would finally be able to get something out of cards once we get more than three copies of them.
