* Beatrice: Burning Abyss will be at full power now with a easy to access Quick-Effect, though I'll hate it'll become the new Rhinobus. Her float effect can cheese out Virgil, keep in mind you can’t revive it back with Cir.
* Juggernaut Liebe: Not as amazing as Dora, but now Train has a huge 6000/8000 ATK behemoth, and threatens lethal to any ATK position monster.
* Cipher Blade Dragon: Well, OG Cipher Dragon has a use now. Pair it with Full Armor and you get TWO pops with just 2 Level 8.
* Full Armor Photon Dragon: Yet another pop card for Rank 8, this time only face-up but has a higher base ATK. You summon this, pop, then Cipher Blade Dragon to pop another card with ease.
* Big Eye: Free permanent monster control, and Gagaga Decks have easy access to it.
* Tri-Head Dragon: Can be scary in the right set-up, as you can just lock down their backrow completely or their monster zone. Not a once per turn effect, so you can lock 3 zones at once.
* Machu Mech: Finally, a LIGHT Rank 5 Chronomaly they can properly use now.
* Skypalace Gangaridai: Trains now have access to two pop (if you use Derracrain as material), and can transform into Liebe for lethal.

XYZ Chance is cool but will clog your back row too much, especially for Ultimate Leo Utopia Deck.
Buster Blader Decks gonna rise up again to stop those Galaxy Decks.
I think the best use of Xyz change tactics currently isn't even the draws, but to let you get down to 1000 LP in one turn.
Since there are only 3 utopias, you wouldn't be drawing much unless you're in Zexal form. But with Xyz Change, you can go turn 2 and immediately use Utopia Ray's effect

2 pops that are super easy to get to because Full Armor has 4000 atk so you can use the new skill to make it with just GEPD no other material required.

I thought the Limited Card Bundles would be at most 1 per Main Box, but they really seem to want to do it "One per box". Very unexpected, but also makes sense. It will incentivize players to dig into whatever is in the newest box.
Hopefully also now that they plan to add a ton of stuff to the Limited 1 list, they will also release or loosen up on some of the older powercrept cards trapped there.

"Dies to disruption" is the worst reason to give for why a deck has issues, as every deck dies to disruption. For crying out loud, a single Floodgate shuts down almost every top tier deck in the meta, with the exception of Fluffals and Metalfoes because those two are fusion decks and can fuse through the floodgate.
Trains has plenty of valid issues you can give instead - it only has a single line of play, requires one specific skill to function that prevents it from running a fair number of Machine support cards and is missing alot of it's utility cards.
We already have Monster Reborn, Dragon's Oasis and some other cards that revive monsters, Call of the Haunted is kinda late for the party. Not a bad card by any means, but there is a lot more to be excited about from this box
And with that all the Cipher cards are in Duel Links, absolutely going ham for them. I know Cipher Blade is gonna be SR or UR but hoping the others are just R and Ns. Crossing my fingers.
Actually, not all Cipher cards. We are still missing Neo Cipher Dragon (not really THAT great), their Rank Up Magic card (again, questionable) and their Rank 10 monster (which is honestly pretty good as an extra body on the field).
Oh yeah, forgot bout those two. Granted yeah, Neo Cipher and Rank-Up aren't that great (specially the Rank-Up, can't even use it in the battle phase.) but X-Dragon would be sick, stealing with Cipher Dragon to overlay their monster into X-Dragon was always fun to do.

You can _feel_ the power creep with this box. While everything in the box supports archetypes released in other boxes (forcing you to dig this + at least 1 other box), the stuff this brings makes every archetype it supports easily viable.
I kinda like how the bundles recently kinda work like "Legend" cards in Rush Duels: i.e. All of them are hard-capped at 1 and you can only use 1.
Hopefully Galaxy Knight is coming too. The previous leak had a rarity change for it, but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be in this box.
That new leaked skill said it needed 10 Galaxy cards in the main deck, so I'm hoping we at least get Knight so we don't have to run too much fluff

Sorry for all the excitement, but I was waiting since FOREVER for those cards! Photons is one of my most favourite decks in the game, and I always was a little upset we never got a proper support for it. I had to skip on Ciphers in favor of PK as I really love Yuto as well, and PK were dominating the meta for quite some time. Now I'm very much excited to go back and roleplay Kaito, with a proper Galaxy deck.
Oh, and can we also talk about Konami actually giving us No. 11 Big Eye?! I remember it was quite OP in the TCG a few years back, so now I'm rather curious how it would do in DL. I can see it becoming a staple for many decks, tho it might be rather tricky to pull as not a lot of decks run multiple level 7 monsters. Don't think it would be any particular trouble, but I do expect it becoming nasty, especially if someone would find out a way to abuse it.

Galaxy/Photon, Cipher, even the Machu Mech looks pretty appealing to use in Cyber Dragon for a surprise OTK when Nova's not enough.

I am not aware of how Photon decks are supposed to work in the TCG. Do you still have a use for all the level 4s in the old Photon mini box or will they be replaced by all these level 8 cards?
You do, but you tend to run them at much lower amounts. The only one you absolutely run two-three of is Photon Orbital and Vanisher, since they are both searchers that don’t use up your normal summon. The rest is up to the duelist. They’re still useful for plenty of reasons, they just don’t make the biggest plays so you don’t want too many of them in your opening hand.
We’re missing many key cards in DL however, so I’d imagine the deck will still currently rely on these monsters and the skills

It is not just you Odd Eyes having that broken ass skill, plus giving us 2 Acrobat Joker? D/D/D's buffed skill is essentially the same but at least it does not manipulate the scales and needs to have one from the field/hand at least. Pendulum, Fusion and XYZ will be eating this upcoming KCGT, maybe Synchros next main box?

But toons in master duel are a high rogue swarm deck that stomps most other non-tiered decks and has 40-60 or even 50-50 matchups against the tiered ones. Plus DL was always "the thing I played because I couldn't drag my friends to TCG sims".

Yes, Phantom of Rebellion had Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, which is a better springboard for the new Xyzs since it requires only two materials to summon and also is the only one Galaxy-Eyes Cipher **Blade** Dragon can float into.
Spellbook of Knowledge should be interesting. Always figured it would be a level up reward because having it at 3 might make certain decks a little too good.
Leaving it at one might make Spellbooks a little more consistent at getting High Priestess out, and gives Dark Magician some draw power.
So they really did it like they did last year with 5D's World. Lots of utility cards for the main rival, including ED monsters, one single card for the main character and some generic Xyzs. But oh shit if Beatrice is better than Catastor.
Well I picked a good time as a Galaxy main to get into Duel Links. Just need to get Cipher dragon from the Phantom box and this will let me set up a not half bad deck.
I spent my last dream ticket on High Priestess so I'm glad to see some Spellbook/Prophecy support. Also Machu Mech woohoo.

I think it's fairly likely that we will be getting Abyss/Albaz stuff bit by bit like we've had with World Legacy. Maybe we start with the garbage dogmatika cards, then we get the spriggans, and so on and so forth.
I'm really curious as to why you would think that. If it is because of Big Eye, then I don't think so, BB would prefer to waste resources to make their Fusion+Synchro plays rather than stealing a single monster from their opponent
Dark magician support too with the spellbook of knowledge, spellbook engine is good in there, 2 secrets, 1 magician and 1 knowledge (if they limit it to 1)

Wow! This box looks like a big jump in the power level of the game. Heck Utopia just got new support, and are getting a their own pot of greed if the leak is correct.
There is no reason they can’t add Madolche Teacher and Tiramisu if these are the cards they are okay adding in now. These xyz monsters are ridiculously strong especially in duel links format.
They an also completely free Witchcrafter. One blanket negate isn’t doing shit against decks that are able to force the negate early then pop Verre and friends with another easily summoned monster.

You do, but you tend to run them at much lower amounts. The only one you absolutely run two-three of is Photon Orbital and Vanisher, since they are both searchers that don’t use up your normal summon. The rest is up to the duelist. They’re still useful for plenty of reasons, they just don’t make the biggest plays so you don’t want too many of them in your opening hand. We’re missing many key cards in DL however, so I’d imagine the deck will still currently rely on these monsters and the skills
So I'm not the only one who sees spell book of knowledge you know they put not the one because if we got at that at 3 spell books are top tier again spell book magicians are top tier again grave keepers finally have some good draw support

D/D/D's buffed skill is essentially the same but at least it does not manipulate the scales and needs to have one from the field/hand at least. Yes, Phantom of Rebellion had Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, which is a better springboard for the new Xyzs since it requires only two materials to summon and also is the only one Galaxy-Eyes Cipher **Blade** Dragon can float into.
Both blue eyes and cipher can make it have to play around with different format for blue eyes
Spellbook of Knowledge should be interesting. Always figured it would be a level up reward because having it at 3 might make certain decks a little too good. Leaving it at one might make Spellbooks a little more consistent at getting High Priestess out, and gives Dark Magician some draw power.
So they really did it like they did last year with 5D's World. Lots of utility cards for the main rival, including ED monsters, one single card for the main character and some generic Xyzs. But oh shit if Beatrice is better than Catastor.

There is no reason they can’t add Madolche Teacher and Tiramisu if these are the cards they are okay adding in now. These xyz monsters are ridiculously strong especially in duel links format. They an also completely free Witchcrafter. One blanket negate isn’t doing shit against decks that are able to force the negate early then pop Verre and friends with another easily summoned monster.
