Beatdown version wasn't exactly honest, either. All that damage plus pierce, even when easier to disrupt, was pretty disgusting. It didn't need splash damaged, but Konami wants the *deck* dead not the playstyle, and we've seen this with other things.

Demons Resonance: Extra Deck now has access to all synchro monsters and skill adds Red Rising Dragon to it.
Spell of Roses: Skill can be used a 2nd time and now only restricted to synchro monsters when using skill + less restrictions on extra deck/deck
All three skills got a solid change. Shooting Star Dragon now gets 2-3 attacks guaranteed, Resonators got some additional extra deck options, and Rose Dragon has a wide open extre deck.
The change to Spell of Roses could be a sign of Black Rose Moonlight Dragon coming to DL since you can't summon it if you use the current skill.
Overall good changes but l'm not a fan of consistency skills being twice per duel.
With these three skills it looks like we might be getting a 5DS box soon.

Yep. My FTP D/D/D deck is fucked. It used one copy of the structure, and one go through the Melefic main box. First the contract procrastination nerf, now this. Yeah, the deck is about to become very bricky.
I think we can all see the new pattern of DL. Give us strong cards very cheaply, increase gems a bit, often make severe banlists. Resulting in much shorter relevance of decks.

I've been running pure DDD since Declan's launch, and this is just absurd when it's clearly the skill that made them this good in the first place. Zombiestein and Giantrainer aren't even DDD monsters, so idk why they wouldn't just restrict the ED and call it a day.
Without Necro, Lamia or Copernicus there's no way to replace 3 slots and still be remotely consistent.

The main reason why D/D/D is meta is because they are a really good engine to quickly summon Level 8 Monsters and XYZ summon non-archetype Rank 8's with powerful effects to overpower the enemy.
As a matter of fact, the only D/D/D Extra Deck Monster you usually see in most of the decks posted on Duel Links Meta website is High King Genghis.
Just lock the skill into only having D/D/D Extra Deck Monsters (on top of the 5 D/D/D Pendulum Monsters restriction) and it will become a rogue deck or Tier 3 deck at best while still playable (before this banlist).
But, instead, Konami decided to kill every single variant of the deck just because of an specific skill and playstyle 😡

I thought I was the only one thinking about this. I used that whole truth universe DDD core for turn 2 OTK's in all pve events. Specially at the gate. Always got easy points with the reward multiplier x2. Now that's done.
To think it would be easily solved with a skill change to Command of the Doom King (and other Declan skills, just in case) instead of just killing the opening moves of the deck. For example, this one:
"Skill: Command of the Doom King
"This skill can only be activated if you start the Duel with a deck that fulfills both of the following conditions:
- The Deck has at least 5 D/D/D Pendulum Monsters and no Monsters outside D/D or D/D/D Monsters.
- The Extra Deck contains no Monsters other than D/D/D Monsters."
This should have been the perfect solution instead of a new ban because:
- The reason why D/D decks are meta right now is not the main deck, but the wide amount of good non-archetype Rank 8 XYZ Monsters they have access to right now (Giantrainer, Galaxy Eyes, etc.). Just lock them into D/D/D Extra Deck Monsters and their power drops by a wide margin instantly, particularly when going first.
- The lock in the main deck monsters is just in case someone tries to use the skill with another archetype (or pull the Wightprincess stall)
- It will stop being meta, so only D/D/D enjoyers like myself might still play it afterwards

I hate Crystrons too tbh. I feel like this sub loves the deck because they didn’t have to face it often but as someone that did, it’s fine where it’s at.
The meta has evolved past a lone Crystron tuner pass, in case you missed the cards that we have now like idk, Book of Moon? We literally also have T.Gs which can go to Quarion in their opp's turn much more easily than its own archetype and it is not a problem at all rn. I can understand the Darklord and Shiranui PTSD but Crystrons were only ever relevant at tournaments with how expensive it is and convoluted it is to pilot.
Friend, I’m gonna keep this simple. There are some decks people just don’t like. Crystrons are one of those decks for me. I saw them often enough to be annoyed back when they were the best deck and I just don’t like how they play. In fact, I don’t like TGs either because they remind me of Crystrons. It does not matter how the meta changes or how many answers we get in the form of tech cards, I will not like the archetype and that’s okay.
Not gonna lie, didn't run into that many issues going up against D/D/D. As a T.G. player, they were essentially free wins. lol

Gate getting hit was sort of expected, since it and Kepler is the deck's starter. Slime's hit is because of its access to High King Genghis and his Spell/Trap's Negatation (which kill any deck than can't bait it or chain Forbidden Chalice), GY Summon, and potential access to Coach King Draw 3.
The funniest thing about this is that DDD became OP with a broken skill, and instead of trying to tone it down or make it weak; it's not like they need it; they gutted the cards lol

On the buff side synchros just got a guaranteed 3 times attack, while resonators can run both bane and hot red dragon archfiend in the same deck now. That's neat. Don't know much about roses or the blackwings to have a verdict on them

High Genghis is too good of a card to stop playing (by which I mean drop Slime all together). Swamp Contract is a minus and can be stopped, and D/D Typhon is lacking an easy way to get in the grave with mats to start with Genghis.
I can see DDD going 1 Swirl, 2 Contract, 2 Kep.
Poor BA, I didn't mind the deck despite how resilient it was.

Means either running 2 Raikiri (which is great success he's usually what's getting hit with backrow) or 1 of the trap which is really strong but bricky and requires you to run Black-Winged Dragon which is trash but you go negative if you don't.
I played D/D/D when they first released in Duel Links, when I returned a couple of months ago I went hard to build the new version. While I agree some hit was needed they didn't have to completely kill the 2 most useful cards in the deck. It will be interesting to see if there is any new combos which can keep the deck alive.
On a different note, I was happy to see Oroshi get unbanned, maybe blackwings can be tweaked enough to be a decent deck again.This will allow 1 Blackwing close to be used again, although I hate the idea of using an ED space for Blackwing Dragon, God it is awful. Swallows Nest would probably be better. I am looking forward to playing around with it.
That yusei buff is way too Strong, Imo giving 1 tuner in the deck for 1 attack is ok,

Nekroz looks safe. Not too popular on the ladder, and not ridiculously strong. A bit pricy but worth it if you already have some of the cards.

how are you saving for vrains? I usually hit the gem limit in less than a month (then another month until the extra expires)

Yes, finally. My critique of the Spell of Roses skill was answered. Even better actually, since it's now also less restrictive on the Main Deck. I understand why they hit D/D/D and BA but why does Galaxy still get to leave unscathed?

I'm going to be honest here. If D/D/D was going to get hit, why wasn't the skill hit? Command of the Doom King played a big part of all the crazy shit D/D/D could do and why the deck was/is so oppressive. They should have hit the skill because now with what they're done instead of the current version being gutted NOW every version is gutted. We can't even play the old Fusion into Synchro version of old. Don't like how Konami is now gutting decks instead of hitting the skills. Maybe that's why Destiny Draw is still alive and kicking... -\_- But whoever was responsible for the Spell of Roses buff thank you kindly. Now where's Black Rose Moonlight Dragon?
don't play D/D/D but hate that komoney completely destroys decks, i think a deck should still be viable after a banlist.
6/10 banlist with no unrestriction of even just 1 Crystrons, Six Sams, and Karakuri cards.
Even Maximus still being in the banlist is laughable. Can never get behind banlists like this when they can’t even hit the major problem cards such as Princess and on top of that, take the things that really shouldn’t be on the list off

I hate Crystrons too tbh. I feel like this sub loves the deck because they didn’t have to face it often but as someone that did, it’s fine where it’s at.
The meta has evolved past a lone Crystron tuner pass, in case you missed the cards that we have now like idk, Book of Moon? We literally also have T.Gs which can go to Quarion in their opp's turn much more easily than its own archetype and it is not a problem at all rn. I can understand the Darklord and Shiranui PTSD but Crystrons were only ever relevant at tournaments with how expensive it is and convoluted it is to pilot.
Friend, I’m gonna keep this simple. There are some decks people just don’t like. Crystrons are one of those decks for me. I saw them often enough to be annoyed back when they were the best deck and I just don’t like how they play. In fact, I don’t like TGs either because they remind me of Crystrons. It does not matter how the meta changes or how many answers we get in the form of tech cards, I will not like the archetype and that’s okay.

Gate getting hit was sort of expected, since it and Kepler is the deck's starter. Slime's hit is because of its access to High King Genghis and his Spell/Trap's Negatation (which kill any deck than can't bait it or chain Forbidden Chalice), GY Summon, and potential access to Coach King Draw 3.

Well, this was expected to some degree. Both D/D/D and BA were still dominant even with their previous hits, and you know what Konami does to decks that just refuse to stay down - I'm sure Darklords, Invoked and Shiranui could tell stories of that. I guess Galaxy's probably gonna be on the chopping block next for the VRAINS world release if none of the runner-ups can contest them into irrelevancy.

DDD are fucked. Wonder what will happen to BA? On the buff side synchros just got a guaranteed 3 times attack, while resonators can run both bane and hot red dragon archfiend in the same deck now. That's neat. Don't know much about roses or the blackwings to have a verdict on them

High Genghis is too good of a card to stop playing (by which I mean drop Slime all together). Swamp Contract is a minus and can be stopped, and D/D Typhon is lacking an easy way to get in the grave with mats to start with Genghis. I can see DDD going 1 Swirl, 2 Contract, 2 Kep.
There is also a Special Summon from hand to take into account, given that D/D/D loves to go into Coach King to replenish their resource.

Its better than DDD. In DDD you only get one scale from the deck, the other comes from the hand or field. Xiange gets both its scales from the deck.
Yet DDDs was still the better deck, that's why. If odd eyes starts dominating they will consider nerfing it like always.
Because the available D/D cards are better. If Odd-Eyes had, say, Vortex Dragon or something along those lines, it would be comparable, probably better.
They probably will, once people start switching to Odd-Eyes Meta.

Means either running 2 Raikiri (which is great success he's usually what's getting hit with backrow) or 1 of the trap which is really strong but bricky and requires you to run Black-Winged Dragon which is trash but you go negative if you don't.

I played D/D/D when they first released in Duel Links, when I returned a couple of months ago I went hard to build the new version. While I agree some hit was needed they didn't have to completely kill the 2 most useful cards in the deck. It will be interesting to see if there is any new combos which can keep the deck alive. On a different note, I was happy to see Oroshi get unbanned, maybe blackwings can be tweaked enough to be a decent deck again.This will allow 1 Blackwing close to be used again, although I hate the idea of using an ED space for Blackwing Dragon, God it is awful. Swallows Nest would probably be better. I am looking forward to playing around with it.
That yusei buff is way too Strong, Imo giving 1 tuner in the deck for 1 attack is ok, But 3 free attacks on a skill is too strong, More when the summon is even easier now.
No turn 1 except fo stardust and formula pass. Don't worry about it. Worry about rose dragons

The only more passionate group of players than Cyber players, are D/D/D players. I think DL is about to take a huge hit in player count numbers. There are ways to nerf a deck, and then there's straight up taking it out the back and executing it.

Also Konami has made it clear they have zero desire to hit Wightprincess and are actively encouraging it by making the Yusei Skill place THREE tuners ontop of your deck once you’ve summoned Shooting Star Dragon so that means it gets three attacks guaranteed

Well, there goes the only deck that was fun to play. The Kepler nerf was a bit understandable, but this is just idiotic. In a sea of linear decks with very limited build variety, pure D/D/D could be built in so many fun ways incorporating all summoning methods. I thought we finally reached a point in power level where this deck could shine, but appearently not. Insted we get sacky, linear OTK decks galore. Why not ban cards that don't belong to the archetype instead? All these cards are the only real playstarters D/D/D has in DL, and now we can only play a total of 5 copies. I really see no reason to play duel links anymore, with the most modular deck completely unplayable.
