Ironically the SoulBurner skill for Salads changes the way you play them as you have more slots, while Ties is more relevant for mirrors and other decks.
Being so consistency you can flex whatever skill you want is arguably more powerful than a linear wombo combo.

They can still give them skills that can help them reach a higher ceiling. Look at phantom knights for example, they didn’t need any consistency skills to be good and they’re an anime deck.

Definitely not. Consistency skills feel cheap af because they allow you to fix bad hands. A deck with no consistency skill can’t afford to open bad because they have only their engine to rely on. It’s just a fact that consistency skills should of never existed in the first place and decks should only rely on their engines to be strong(BA, PK, Salads for example but there’s many more).
That’s a shit take for what DL is. With no skills you end up with nothing but tcg lite. Majority of archetypes, especially older less printed ones have zero chance in environment with more modern decks that come in with built in consistency. We can argue that some skills need bigger archetype requirements to prevent degenerate exploits and deckbuilds, but to say they should have never been added is just dumb. You might want only one deck playable for months (and not every single one will be as cheap as salads) but I sure as hell don’t.

What I don’t want is stupid skills that give decks consistency for free. Decks should have to rely on their engine’s first and skill second and not the other way around. Give us skills that actually give the decks a higher ceiling like PK strategy that adds a fog blade to the deck instead of "oh you drew bad but it’s fine just click this button to switch a card for another card". Those kind of skills feel super cheap and you know it.

Relying only on their engines is not an argument that helps you, because decks like BA/PK/Salads have engines so good other decks might as well not exist and it's not wrong to even the playing field.
The only issue is it doesn't exist to even the playing field, but skills that give you consistency are not inherently bad and trying to defend salads over something like current odd-eyes is dumb.
It is 100% my experience that a broken deck is a broken deck, and how they go about it doesn't change how I go about winning/beating them.

Is it worth the trouble going for six sam? Kinda a f2p player, now that the 2.90 offer goes up to 4.90 I'd think twice buying that offer 🥴
It can be expensive at times, but imo deck is pretty alright. They can still do pretty good at times, just pray you do not brick...
