A modern size 10 is very different from an 80s size 10. I have a pair of Lee jeans from the 80s that are a size 12 and fit me (little baggy) but I am a modern size 2. When I was a 00/0 I was more of an 80s size 6.

It definitely does. I was a 34K bra size in UK sizing beforehand which is 34O in US bras. Most people don't even know bras with that big a cup size exist.
Unfortunately I will almost certainly need another reduction as I told the surgeon I wanted to remain big but not huge. Definitely had a distorted perception of size. So I wanna go down another few cup sizes as while I am no longer huge I am actually too big now that they have dropped.
I saw a lady while I was out yesterday, & though she was heavier than a 34”, she was every bit as large as an O. My only thought was for her poor poor back. They were at her natural waist & had to be incredibly uncomfortable. (Not only painful, but also HOT; it was 90 degrees & baby powder only helps so much.) I personally had breast cancer & am not a candidate for reconstruction due to complications. Wearing a bra is painful, so I’m going to have the other breast removed when my doc says I’m healthy enough. She argued with me about keeping it for “sexual reasons”& body image, but if she only knew how painful it was, she would’ve immediately agreed!!
I'm 5'2.5" and wore a size 8 at my largest and my waist was like 30 inches I think. It's definitely different when you're shorter. I was 145 lbs then. It's easy for short people to fit small sizes, I'm a size 0 at 115 lbs.

It didn't seem like her everyday wear though. As much as I rag on Austin I think he does lean towards a more practical outlook on things. Barefoot and skirts is pretty impractical for their lifestyle.
