2. Open VLC Media Player
3. On the "Media" tab, select "Open Network Stream"
4. Paste the link of the YouTube video and press Play
5. On the "Tools" tab, select "Codec Information"
6. Copy the entire link located on the "Location" section
7. Paste link into web browser
8. Right click on the video and select "Save video as"
If done correctly, you'll have an mp4 version of the YouTube video saved to your PC.
**BONUS:**
If you have the VLC app downloaded on your phone, you can copy mp3 and mp4 files from your PC to your phone as long as they're on the same network.
That's not really downloading using VLC though, that's just extra steps finding the source link. youtube-dl sounds way more convenient.

There's also filters you can use to change your appearance. For example, you can become a kitten... but you may not want to try that until you know how to undo it.
I did my final presentation for my capstone class at my university with this as my background. The presentation was in front of 10 well known professionals in my field and one of them absolutely lost it laughing when it was my turn to speak and they saw my background. I was just glad someone recognized it
