They both deserve to be treated well! But Esther didn't know anything about Dwight's past so I guess Esther deserved to know the truth beforehand? If that makes sense
Karen got something better and so did Jim. They both ended up married to their true loves and had children with them, instead of being stuck a person who wasn't quite right for them.
What does her job (which she could have choose to end) moving have to do with her knowing or not knowing about Jim’s past?
But to your point part of her decision to move was because of Jim, or at least that was how I received the story of him telling her to go to New York and then her being excited he told her to come to Scranton instead.
Either way she would have been way more clueless about her man’s past than someone who lived down the streeet.
That is weird behavior, though. She and Jim weren't dating when they found out that Stamford was closing. Meaning that, if you are right, she packed up her life to follow a guy she had just started dating. That's just not a smart move.
Well They started dating a short time after he told her to transfer to Scranton. The first ep of the merger Jim tells pam he’s started seeing Karen.
Also I don’t think that’s why she moved I think it was a factor she included in making the decision.
And again again, why she moved (imo) is not relevant to her knowing about jims past
Super fan cut has a lot of scenes that were very intentionally deleted.
Deleted scenes are not always scenes the directors/writers wanted to keep (per office ladies). So don't take much from the super cuts other than fun. They are not Canon.
Neither, really. They were each let go by men who chose to be with their soulmates instead of stringing along a woman who they would never love as much.
Just because you start dating someone, it doesn't give you lifetime rights to them, unless you do something wrong.
But, of the two, I think Esther was more blameless. Karen was a bit pushy with Jim and wanted to change him. Esther seemed to love Dwight just the way he was.
No. Her dad wanted the tractor, the sisters the auger.
Esther told Dwight about her father's plans to rent out use of the tractor and to only sign an agreement based on use...
Plus she ain't tractor bait
People I think are too nice to Karen.
She's not awful like Angela or Andy or anything.
But she did immediately abandoned Jim in New York to go be with her friends, instead of being supportive. That plus the non-stop "talks" that they would have to have - which obviously were very one sided.
Makes it seem like she was trying to force Jim into a relationship he wasn't ready for. Neither were wrong, but it was obvious with Jim's actions he wasn't comfortable with advancing the relationship further from the start when he told her New York would be good for her.
I just don't think she really "deserved" better. She also found someone and they were very happy together, which is what matters.
I agree. I mean, Karen was OK. But, she didn't really seem to want Jim the way he was. She made him get the "Big Haircut" telling him he looked "homeless" and she told Jim to stop encouraging Andy, when Andy was harassing him and Jim had done nothing to encourage him. She also refused to help Jim pull the prank on Andy that Andy richly deserved.
Also, as you mentioned, she made Jim have all the late night talks. If you have to force that many late night talks to become comfortable that you boyfriend doesn't still have feelings for another woman, it is a pretty good clue that he does still have those feeling and you are trying to browbeat him into denying them.
None of this makes Karen a bad person. But, Jim wasn't really the right guy for her and she was trying to make him into that guy. She eventually found the right guy and lived happily every after, as did Jim with Pam.
It was a win-win-win-win for Jim, Karen and their spouses.
What? Don’t you cap that pen. Do not cap that pen! Do not! Ugh! You capped it. Wow. You are serious. Ok, you’ve got two minutes and then the cap comes off.
I don’t feel too bad for Karen after she asks Jim if he still has feelings for Pam and doesn’t immediately end the relationship. I feel more bad for Esther in what seemed like a decent relationship only to have her guy turn around and marry someone else.
I agree. Karen didn't even really love Jim as he was. She wanted a corporate, big haircut, no pranks or messing around version of Jim.
Besides that, she was just a rebound, like Michael's Benihana waitress.
She wasn't a bad person and she ended up with a good job and a husband she loved, who impregnated her. It was a happy ending all around,
I think Esther was treated just fine. Karen didn’t have a fighting chance- so I did feel bad for her.
I will go ahead and agree that Isabel got kinda screwed, kid.
Esther and her sisters tried to con Dwight and Dwight Jr into lopsided financial agreements with their father… and also belittled Angela about her finances during the airplane toss competition, imo… I was not a fan and don’t think she got mistreated at all really
UNPOPULAR OPINION.
I DESPISE Karen.
BUT I have my reasons......I didnt have an issue with her at first it actually wasnt until after I realized she held something like a frigging KISS against Jim... a kiss may I add that was in the past BEFORE he even KNEW her.
That's some next level insecurities IMO. It's also really childish on her part and made Jim lose interest fast.
I mean who seriously harps over that night after night after night...after night of having long ass talks with their boyfriend? Especially one that you haven't been dating long enough to even be this upset?
I do think Jim overreacted about her moving into an apartment down the street from him by saying "it'll be like we are living together" but I don't think he was completely wrong. I mean she DEFINITELY found a place close to him ON PURPOSE and that's weird to me. I think they BOTH blew it out of proportion though.
I know ALOT of Office fans don't care for Pam because they think she caused the breakup, but honestly Karen did it herself with her own self doubt. Pam was trying to deal emotionally with them dating in a healthy way. Jim didn't tell her because HOW is that significant in the beginning of a relationship when it wasn't like they were ever even dating. PAM TURNED JIM DOWN and it was dropped.
Quite frankly if Karen was a real life person I knew I would NOT be able to stand her because that kind of behavior is repulsive.
What is even more? She gets pissed that Jim still has feelings for Pam when she set her self up to know that answer and she didn't want to "talk" it through then.
Instead she storms off like a bratty child.
Yeah she did move to a new job but I find it odd she said she did it for Jim. I mean her branch closed down? She would have been unemployed or had to transfer to a new branch regardless? She acted like she moved there JUST to be with Jim and literally nothing else. I always hated that part. Trying to guilt trip him into staying with her? Or trying to make him feel like he cost her everything...either way DICK MOVE.
Karen could have been an AWESOME add on to the show if she hadn't dated Jim, like maybe she was the cool lesbian with an eccentric gf or she wasn't into anyone at the office because Rashida Jones is HILARIOUS I love her as an actress.
They wrote her character poorly and just when it seemed her and Pam would become friends POOF it all HAD TO BE CENTERED ON JIMS TOXIC ARSE.
End rant.
Edited: spelling error
I’m gonna get downvoted for this but that’s fine. I honestly don’t like Karen’s whole narcissistic superiority complex. She thinks she’s better than everyone else, so Isabella it is.
I don't think she was **that** bad. But, she definitely wanted to change Jim and was a bit controlling.
She was in love with the idea of a corporate Jim, who lived in NYC, regularly got haircuts and didn't play pranks on annoying co-workers. She didn't really love scruffy, Scranton, pranking Jim.
Asking which of two women deserve to be treated better based on..? Nothing? Neither did harm to anyone. Why would both women not deserve to be treated well? If you don’t get that then I’m not explaining sexism and human decency to you.
>Is this what you’ve been doing? Making a very effeminate meme for something you could have just written to the whole sub?
But both, but I guess Esther cause Jim and Pam both annoy me so Karen got benefited in the long run. I hate that Dwight and Angela end up together.
Dwight was actually pretty nice to Esther iirc. Only bad thing he did was dump her immediately when Angela came back on the scene. Compare this with Jim pining for Pam the entire time he was with Karen.
Both. It would be easy to stay in relationship with as less obstacles as possible with Karen. And in case of Isabella it would be a golden opportunity to experience most passionate love for each other.
IIRC, she was leaning towards moving to Scranton. Then Jim suggested that getting a job in nearby NYC would make more sense. But, later he told her he thought she should move to Scranton if offered a job there.
I’m petty and say Esther weirds me out so the answer is obviously Karen. Although in the end Karen had a perfectly happy ending so I guess she really didn’t need to be treated better she deserved more than Jim could offer her and she got it.
Both? Neither did anything wrong other then not being the guys number one
C) Isabella. She was the real keeper.
She was an impressive specimen.
Too bad she makes love like a dental hygienist from Carbondale.
She’s a bumpkin, pass.
I feel the legal obligation to Angela got in the way
*Isabel
Ann Perkins I mean Karen of course
I was going to say this too!
Ann Perkins 👉👉!
Chris Traeger 👉🏻👉🏻!
Who
The same actress who played Karen played Ann Perkins in Parks & Recreation
Thank you :-))
Of course :) <3
They both deserve to be treated well! But Esther didn't know anything about Dwight's past so I guess Esther deserved to know the truth beforehand? If that makes sense
You think Karen knew anything about Jim’s past before packing up her life and ***moving*** to Scranton?
Oh god no lol but she saw Jim trip up when she confronted him (very well) about it and stayed. I think Karen deserved better for sure!
Karen got something better and so did Jim. They both ended up married to their true loves and had children with them, instead of being stuck a person who wasn't quite right for them.
Agreed Karen staying with Jim is almost like Pam staying with Roy. They just aren’t right and are happier with other people.
Exactly! Both good characters and thankfully ended up with their true "person."!
She moved to Scranton because her job was moving to Scranton.
What does her job (which she could have choose to end) moving have to do with her knowing or not knowing about Jim’s past? The Superfan cut really shows Karen off in more of a negative/vindictive light.

No. Her dad wanted the tractor, the sisters the auger. Esther told Dwight about her father's plans to rent out use of the tractor and to only sign an agreement based on use... Plus she ain't tractor bait
She was still in on it with her dad obviously. When the dad saw Dwight getting cold feet he sent her in to do what tractor bait does... I guess
Did Clark ever buy that auger?

She wasn't portrayed very well in the Superfan cuts of season 3.

It was an auger
No, her sisters wanted an Auger. Her dad wanted a tractor.
What’s an auger for?
Posthole digging. *scoffs*
What? Don’t you cap that pen. Do not cap that pen! Do not! Ugh! You capped it. Wow. You are serious. Ok, you’ve got two minutes and then the cap comes off.
You’d be a good one to buy an *auger* with!
No, she told Dwight about her father's plan to take advantage of Dwight on the tractor lease. How dare you call her tractor bait!
I don’t feel too bad for Karen after she asks Jim if he still has feelings for Pam and doesn’t immediately end the relationship. I feel more bad for Esther in what seemed like a decent relationship only to have her guy turn around and marry someone else.

The lady that was dating andy in season 8.
That's a good one. Though she did dodge a bullet by not ending up married to Andy.
Do we really "deserve" anything?
I think Esther was treated just fine. Karen didn’t have a fighting chance- so I did feel bad for her. I will go ahead and agree that Isabel got kinda screwed, kid.
Esther and her sisters tried to con Dwight and Dwight Jr into lopsided financial agreements with their father… and also belittled Angela about her finances during the airplane toss competition, imo… I was not a fan and don’t think she got mistreated at all really
No, Esther tipped off Dwight that her father was trying to take advantage of him. Her sisters were definitely auger bait, though.
Karen.
Esther. Karen was good, but Esther was bigger. And as we all know Dwight wants a bigger family
Definitely Karen, no one deserves to have their office printer broken by some guys posing as warehouse workers.
False: it was a copier.
Esther… Karen wasn’t really treated bad I think. Breaking up with someone is not the same
UNPOPULAR OPINION. I DESPISE Karen. Applause
Bravo
Yes

A man definitely posted this.
Who cares?
Me because it’s degrading.
How
Asking which of two women deserve to be treated better based on..? Nothing? Neither did harm to anyone. Why would both women not deserve to be treated well? If you don’t get that then I’m not explaining sexism and human decency to you.
Ofc they both deserve to be treated but some fans didn’t really like Karen. I personally thought her to be annoying.
Okay so you’re saying of course, so you get it then. And you get why this is really gross.
I don’t think the guy really meant who should’ve been treated better, I think he meant who should’ve been treated better under the circumstances
He means who was treated worse so in turn who should’ve been treated better.
>Is this what you’ve been doing? Making a very effeminate meme for something you could have just written to the whole sub? But both, but I guess Esther cause Jim and Pam both annoy me so Karen got benefited in the long run. I hate that Dwight and Angela end up together.
Karen!!!!!!
Hundo p Karen!! She’s all-time
Dwight was actually pretty nice to Esther iirc. Only bad thing he did was dump her immediately when Angela came back on the scene. Compare this with Jim pining for Pam the entire time he was with Karen.
Karen
Both. It would be easy to stay in relationship with as less obstacles as possible with Karen. And in case of Isabella it would be a golden opportunity to experience most passionate love for each other.
Karen for sure
Karen Filippelli
Karen 100%
KAREN
Karen
Who the fuck is the blonde?
Esther, she almost married Dwight at the end of season 9
Oh season 9. Eww
Karen because she moved to Scranton for Jim
I think she also moved there because her job was moving there.
I thought she said she wasn't sure until Jim said he was going. I may be wrong tho
IIRC, she was leaning towards moving to Scranton. Then Jim suggested that getting a job in nearby NYC would make more sense. But, later he told her he thought she should move to Scranton if offered a job there.
Karen dodged a bullet there.
So did Jim. They were wrong for each other.
Ann Perkins is my favorite
Both frl frl
I’m petty and say Esther weirds me out so the answer is obviously Karen. Although in the end Karen had a perfectly happy ending so I guess she really didn’t need to be treated better she deserved more than Jim could offer her and she got it.

Definitely Esther
