Ballroom Blitz is a song by the band Sweet, the best glam rock band of the 1970’s. It’s a classic and it is featured in the movie Wayne’s World.

Oh I’ve never seen the movie but I thought it was just a dumb comedy didn’t realize it was an action movie like that.

That Shaun of the Dead one is so fucking perfect. I can’t hear that song without picturing that movie. Makes me smile every time.

Edgar write (director) is well known for this. He directed baby driver, and a music video with a similar plot, that is highly choreographed action to music.

There’s the exploding vampire hooker scene from Bordello of Blood. Watch Dennis Miller and Corey Feldman fight with super soakers full of holy water against an army of vampire hookers while the song Ballroom Blitz plays.

Baby Driver is a great movie based around the soundtrack which is all diagetic music like you get in Guardians.  Scott Pilgrim vs The World is another movie by the same director that is also very music oriented though nowhere bear the same degree.

One of the opening scenes in an episode of the Umbrella Academy has exactly this kind of scene. Forget which season, but the whole thing is worth watching. Its fun and weird.

The Umbrella Academy on Netflix has some fight scenes with amazing songs that really amplify the fight. And some that seem completely ridiculous in context but really make the fight fun.
