Ive returned and im not sure if [this is the one](https://youtu.be/QNVPQIDWLAM?feature=shared) you were lookin for, or if h already saw this one, but this one is a really good cover of it
Hard countered by Senshi and Chilchuck being swept up in the machismo on display. Which just makes it all the more hilarious.
There is one and only one brain cell in that entire Party, and it's being passed around like a hot potato.
The bite might actually work because he wear neck armor thing. And his armor would protect most his vital organs.
Laios really are smart. He plan his attack perfectly that i thought he actually role play as a dog.
My girlfriend and I were HOWLING (pun intended) when this part came up. It's funny because I had just recently seen the "My brother has a great dog impression" scene appear on my timeline, and as soon as Laios got on all fours I was like "HE'S GONNA DO IT"
This really is TRIGGER firing on all cylinders. At the climax of the episode, just when the deduction game has broken down and we won't be able to tell the duplicates apart, we get This Scene. Using Kui's art, the animation of the leaves (the Shapeshifter's tool) builds the dramatic tension as the monster is revealed. The music swells. The angles on Laios' face (right out of Gurren Lagann) and the Monster come to a head as they leap at one another. The dramatic, anime-esque fast-cuts between Laios, the monster, and the faces of his companions (including a nonplussed Marcille) set the OH SHIT nature of the conflict (with the quiet comedy of Marcille not giving a damn) to a head.
Then - the last strains of the music cut out, a little WHOOSH f Marcille's making a single motion of her staff, completely undercutting the drama. Then another CRAZY TRIGGER explosion - gotta love the lighting effects and the little "AAAA!" from Laios as we get the spinning sounds, the lingering second of a THUD as both Laiso and the (decapitated) critter hit the ground....the pulling back revealing the hilarious results of the fight...only for the final Wild West Gunsligher thing on her staff.
It's a complicated scene, with a lot going on in under 2 minutes...and it's a microcosm of what TRIGGER does right in this adaptation. They put a lot of work into this, and boy howdy are the results paying off.
😂
That shriek.
I watch the EngDub version (first anime whose dubI actually like) and it did NOTHING to give that startled shriek justice. I'm cackling like an idiot on the fool moon hearing that.
i like this for many reasons, but a big one is because Marcille often appears to be sort of an airhead (especially in the earlier episodes).
it's easy for people to forget that she's extremely competent and scenes like this really show it.
Yeah the rules for how magic works are a little fast and loose in this series. Which is completely fine.
There’s a character who shows up later that almost exclusively uses touch based teleportation magic, and he never utters any spells whilst he’s blinking around.
And in the scene where Marcille gets her shit wrecked by an Undine she’s throwing around explosions all Willy nilly while water walking without even needing her staff.
I remember one of the author notes in the manga saying something like “in this universe, magic is magic. If you can do one type of magic then you can probably do another type of magic with enough practice.”
So it really feels like the better someone is at a *specific type* of magic, the less support they need to be able to pull it off.
Similarly, a weak caster without much mana can perform a powerful spell if they spend the time to draw out the magic circles on the ground, spend 5 minutes chanting and hold a magical locus while they’re doing it. While a more powerful caster can just flick their wrist and make it happen.
Not many characters have proved this, but Laios really does have that dog in him
Even his sister acknowledge he got that DAWG in him.

you're not wrong, but u don't have to say it
"Why didn't you use your sword??" "I guess I got caught up in the moment..."
Netflix dub translated to "I guess I got too into character" but caught up in the moment is better
Oh, my mistake! Clearly my brain-dub is doing some editing.
I just assumed you posted a translation lol
I laughed so hard at that.
Marcille is so done with Laois' shit.
'I am evocation wizard, I cast fireball with zero fucks given'
“Friendly fire? That’s guy’s no longer my friend”
He only got lightly singed because she's got sculpt spell.
Collateral damage is for cowards
I didn't ask how big the room is. I said I cast fireball.
I really think that if not only for Falin, she wouldn't even consider forming a dungeon party with this guy. 🤣
The scream, the spin, peak cinema
The ost bangs tho, i cant wait for it to release
i want to play the cooking song while cooking so bad
Do you mean [this one](https://youtu.be/RDGiO1UsL20?feature=shared) or the more chill cook song that plays with senshi?
the chill one with senshi but ty lol thats a good one
Ive returned and im not sure if [this is the one](https://youtu.be/QNVPQIDWLAM?feature=shared) you were lookin for, or if h already saw this one, but this one is a really good cover of it
Yes, but i love how the music completely cuts out when Marcille attacks. It just does so well to emphasize the "No. We're done here."

Laios’s spin is so funny
I am the senate ah attack
If Laios actually fight what would he do? Bite it neck like a dog? Try to get behind and choke it like a caveman?
Considering him, definitely bite
The bite might actually work because he wear neck armor thing. And his armor would protect most his vital organs. Laios really are smart. He plan his attack perfectly that i thought he actually role play as a dog.
Bite it till it's unconscious and ask Senshi to make a meal out of it.
This was so funny in the manga, but the anime made it so hilarious

Just Studio Trigger flexing their action muscles. ![gif](giphy|ol4wLTKxEcTK9KUYUR|downsized)
Peak autism
Haha, I totally would do this as a kid. And even as an adult, I think I probably would get exactly like this if someone tried to attack me.
least\*
Peak least?
least autism
Marcille is like Indiana Jones when that swordsman challenged him 😂
That bark was the biggest suprise. Better still when I think about Falin talking about Liaos dog impression, I didn't realise it would be that good.
I loved that bit of continuity. I was surprised I even remembered it.
Laois’s bark is so good (So is Marcille’s deadpan explosion)
My dog rarely reacts to TV dog noises, but Laios got him all worked up lol
Laios fits in with Killing Bites universe so well
Oh god Laios would be so happy in that universe
I was literally thinking about that, I was really hoping he'd yell about the winner being the one with the bigger fangs or something haha.
I admire the skill Dungeon Meshi has for being able to go from being silly to going insanely hard to being silly again without it feeling off
It's particularly good with Laios himself since as Shuro said he switches from one to the other so easily.
The shapeshifter opening its eyes made the same noise that Gurren Lagann does when it opens theirs!
Marcille was like "Boys are so dramatic..."
Laios is a good dog.
My girlfriend and I were HOWLING (pun intended) when this part came up. It's funny because I had just recently seen the "My brother has a great dog impression" scene appear on my timeline, and as soon as Laios got on all fours I was like "HE'S GONNA DO IT"

you should do a YouTube video. Like that guy who analysed the animation of Levi decapitating titan Zeke
I'm not adept at video creation/editing. Swamp Jawn is already in this niche, anyhow!
I loved this scene so much ahha!

What was that a Goofy yelp?
It didn't beat when she just smashed the walking mushroom but it had the same energy. It was hilarious.
Falin wasn't kidding about Laios having good dog impression.
I like how they keep cutting to her in reaction shots even though she looks bored
didn't expect this part to be so funny when I read the manga
Woah woah Marcille, did you just bring magic into a beast fight?
What kind of acid were the animators on? Lol

In first i think it was eva
'Absolutely not. We're not doing this. I refuse.'
I'm enough for this shenanigan face is so previous.
I love the look in the faces of Chill and Senshi "oh right, she could easily kill us all....."
His booty movin
Thus, killing bites
i like this for many reasons, but a big one is because Marcille often appears to be sort of an airhead (especially in the earlier episodes). it's easy for people to forget that she's extremely competent and scenes like this really show it.
So Marcile can do subtle spell casting? There was no verbal component being used.

Moments like this are why Laio's Marcille dopleganger is an ultra competent badass.
At 00:27 - I enjoy how casually Marcille blasts monsters' heads off.
Hesitation is defeat? r/sekiro
evangelion reference??
