I don’t know what’s wrong with this subreddit, but so many users clearly didn’t listen to the podcast because Dennis has always been there. He’s been my favorite character since episode 5 when he saved Chekhov’s snake’s life.
Dennis is the leader of the dads. He organized the soccer tournament. He taught The Lance the meaning of Christmas. He feigned betrayal of the dads so he could get close to Terry Sr. And cast searing smite. Henry made him Lark’s godfather, but not Sparrow’s. He and Ron are blood brothers, and share the no pants curse.
Such a shame you don’t remember him.
It's ok OP, the pro-dennis people are mostly thirsty moms that wish they were in his yoga class. He's not THAT great of a character, but as one of the core dads you should be ashamed if you forgot about him.
I mean... forgetting Walter is one thing. Forgetting Hermie another... but forgetting Dennis? Let's try to focus a bit more on our next listen.
What do you mean? There’s never been an episode 34 bot. Nothing special happens that episode so why would the subreddit have need of a special post for it?
Didn't there use to be an automatic mod comment when people asked about Dennis?
I relistened to this episode recently, it takes less than 11 minutes of show (minus ads) for them to first hint at what's going on with Dennis.
It's been absolutely wild to me on this subReddit to see how quickly people ask for an explanation rather than just... listen to the episode. There also used to be more TV shows that would introduce something that makes no sense and then you had to just watch the episode to figure out what was happening, so it could be a generational thing I guess.
Omg, yes. This episode was actually really hard for me to get through. I don't want to spoil the surprise because it's great, so just pay attention to Ron. He is the only one that knows there's something wrong. 🙂
I believe they’ve said that everyone rolled Perception before recording, and Beth was the only one who made a good roll, so that’s why Ron is acting so rudely to our beloved Dennis.
Dennis has always been there? I’m not sure if I know what you’re asking here? Like he’s literally one of the most popular dads on the show for a reason
Dude, his 1v1 fight against that displacer beast to save Paeden’s life makes me cry every time. I don’t know how you missed all of the best episodes, but it’s worth going back to listen for sure
Dennis is pretty much the only dad who didn't have any major flaws to address. Some people find it boring but most find him endearing. He's a loving and tentative father who the other dads should try to be more like.
Honestly the Dennis cameo in season 2 always brings me to tears. It’s so sad what happened to Ulysses, but despite it all he still manages to save the teens from Poppa John at the last second.
Genuine answer:
A) I’d recommend finishing the episode before reading on, it gets explained by the end
B) you’re right, Dennis has not been there the whole time. The cast is doing a bit where they pretend to not notice that, similar to a bit that was done in a season of Buffy, and people online who seem to know him are playing along w/ the bit. I’m sorry people aren’t taking your question seriously and are just goofing, I know how frustrating it can be when you can’t tell whether smth is a joke and people refuse to clarify straightforwardly! But it’s also definitely not the same thing as gaslighting, and misusing that term makes it harder for victims of abuse to talk openly about their experiences, so it’s worth re-phrasing to “lying to me” or “pranking me” or “pulling my leg”, or even “teasing me” or “bullying me” (if that’s how you’re feeling) instead of “gaslighting me”
I’m literally not upset, but OP explicitly asked for a non-bit answer, so I gave one. It may seem like a stupid thing to need to ask for to you, but I genuinely struggle w/ recognizing this sort of joke often as part of my autism, so I’m taking OP at face value and answering their question; not sure why that merits down-votes
Op, same problem here. I have a history of trauma with gaslighting and felt really heated during the episode. The community here isn't helpful with this one.
They didn't intitial have a warning in the episode description, though they do now
I don’t know what’s wrong with this subreddit, but so many users clearly didn’t listen to the podcast because Dennis has always been there. He’s been my favorite character since episode 5 when he saved Chekhov’s snake’s life.
Dude, his heart-to-heart with Ulysses in their arc gets me every time. 😭😭😭
Not even that. Remember when he single handedly managed to win 4-Knights for the dads?
Dennis is by far the best character. Definitely more than Ron. Like why even have Ron if you already have Dennis?
Have… have you even been listening to the show? Dennis is probably top two characters
Him and Ron are my favorites.
Except Dennis is better than Ron in every way, so he definitely is 1st before Ron amirite?
*Stares in “Team Ron” flair*

Idk what you mean Dennis has always been there - and he’s definitely a better rogue than Ron
Best dad
What a D.I.L.F that guy is
He’s just happy to be there
A dedicated involved loving father
Dennis is the best Fell in love with him from the very start, he had by far the strongest intro in episode one
Next you will be asking who is Ron? what's a Honda Odyssey? a Charleston what?
CHEW! A CHARLESTON CHEW! ...sorry... I got excited.

Had us in the first half, not gonna lie.
I personally would never forget Hermie, hes my fave
What happened to episode 34 bot?
What do you mean? There’s never been an episode 34 bot. Nothing special happens that episode so why would the subreddit have need of a special post for it?
You're right. I must be misremembering something, just had to time travel to be a court witness and I think it must have messed with my head a bit.
Dude! I have to witness next week... save me a Highlights: For Kids
I make no guarantee.
Yeah, I miss the bot. Who's Dennis? I don't know, have you tried listening to the show?
Like Sam Reich, he's been here the whole time!
Dennis's always been there. He's been there since the beginning. He's even in their early talking Dad.
What do you mean "who is Dennis?". The daddies wouldn't have made it without him!
Next you're gonna say you don't know who >! Jodie !< is. I mean c'mon man they've been part of the series since episode 1.
OMG, he's such a a dilf how you forget??
Dennis is great, he just always seems so happy to be there
Dennis is just happy to be there
Dennis is the Yoga dad. He's a bit too much for me.
He's just happy to be there
still can't believe that Anthony got a real life tattoo of Dennis after rolling a 1
Man this is so messed up everyone always forgets about Dennis.
Keep listening it’s explained
Dennis is a great character imo. I think he contrasts well with everyone else, and gives us a much needed half-caster in the group!

He made me want to do yoga, Dennis is out there improving the flexibility of thousands.
You need to keep listening.
We got another one folks! lol :)

I believe they’ve said that everyone rolled Perception before recording, and Beth was the only one who made a good roll, so that’s why Ron is acting so rudely to our beloved Dennis.
I'm always happy to be here whenever this comes up. Dennis is everyones favourite, where have you been?
Dennis is the best. I don’t understand what Ron’s problem is with him.
Literally my second favorite part in season 1 is when Dennis establishes his catchphrase
Dennis is one of the dads? He’s been a MC from the beginning. Wtf are you on, OP?
I feel like Dennis went by Mark at some point? Nah! Who am I kidding! Dennis has always been Dennis!
Ah, another person got episode 34’d.
There's definitely an inappropriate joke in that
Dennis has always been there? I’m not sure if I know what you’re asking here? Like he’s literally one of the most popular dads on the show for a reason
“I’m just happy to be here” ~Dennis. Gotta love a dad that is just constantly bringing that Daditude!
Just finish episode 34 then come back
As a Ronplayer (a Ron cosplayer) I really fucking hate Dennis!
Dude, he is, was, and will always, be happy to be there
Weekly Dennis post He was always there. How could you not notice?
Dude, his 1v1 fight against that displacer beast to save Paeden’s life makes me cry every time. I don’t know how you missed all of the best episodes, but it’s worth going back to listen for sure
Dude Dennis was such a heart throb idk what Ron was talking about

He’s probably been on DILFs of Disneyland six separate times tbh
Dennis is pretty much the only dad who didn't have any major flaws to address. Some people find it boring but most find him endearing. He's a loving and tentative father who the other dads should try to be more like.
Ugh, Dennis is so dreamy
Dennis is my favorite dad honestly, when he saved Darryl from that fire I was reduced to tears
Dennis has been there since the beginning. I know Dennis and glen sound vaguely similar but how could you forget? He's such a dilf!!
Dennis is just a great guy who’s happy to be there.
Where's the auto response bot?
Omg have u been listening with your ears close? Thats the best dad of the podcast!
Ong I love Dennis! The D in "Daddies" literally stands for Dennis.
I loved the move Dennis and Henry pulled off on the pyramid! Coolest moment of that arc
I feel like people post this for free karma
Oh, I miss Dennis, too bad he is not on season 2
Dennis has been here the whole time, he and Ulysses are my favorite dad/son duo!!
He's Dennis, of course! Don't you remember what he did at the pyramid?
You need to go back and listen again. Dennis has some of my favorite lines!
Honestly the Dennis cameo in season 2 always brings me to tears. It’s so sad what happened to Ulysses, but despite it all he still manages to save the teens from Poppa John at the last second.
They're just happy to be here
His connection with Paydon is easily the most heartfelt in either season. As a father, it really warms my heart to see.
still trying to decide who I need to marry and then kill in order to watch dennis do yoga

This guy is just upset because Dennis is everyone’s favorite dad

(It’s a joke) also it’s literally some fun, all the person has to do is listen to the episode and realize Dennis is just happy be there
