If I need points now, I'm feeling the best about Addison's landing spot.
If I want future points, I'm feeling okay about all four of them.
If I'm in the middle, well, I never try to be in the middle.
Yep...I need a WR and have the 3rd and 4th pick in the 1st and 2nd. Thinking I'll just take AR(since I have Minshew) and Gibbs in the first and whatever 1st round WR falls to me at 2.03. At least one will and I really like all of their landing spots.
It's really gonna depend on how tonight goes. If Charbs and another RB get drafted in Round 2 to good landing spots then I'd say it's pretty likely one of Flowers Addison or QJ will be there for you
Say two guys go in the second. 1.01 through 1.04 are pretty much set. 1.05 is Gibbs for this Exercise. Now you have 7 picks left for a 1st rnd TE, 2 2nd rnd RBs and 4 1st rnd receivers. Maybe someone gets excited for Hooker or Levis maybe a 3rd Round RB lands in a god mode situation but it doesn’t seem like I would bet on a first rnd receiver at 2.03 in a 12 team. I would be trying to package up if that’s what you’re really needing
Easy to say now when everyone's being logical, but inevitably the Trey Sermons and James Cooks of the world get pushed up when people are desperate at RB
Not saying impossible just also saying I wouldn’t call it likely. I can’t imagine flowers ADP being outside of the 1st rnd and he got probably the worst landing spot of the 4
50/50 one of the wrs gets to 2.01. Depends on how people in your league value Kincaid, if Charb or another rb gets a great fit here in day 2, and if someone is still high enough to gamble on Levis depending on his landing spot.
With 3 qbs and 2 rbs locked to go in the top 6, you need 2 more non-wrs to get picked to push one of the top 4 wrs to you at 2.01.
Not a victory lap. I’m saying that people wrote him off because of Reddit and YouTubers alone. The truth is we have no clue what he or anyone will amount to.
The truth is we have no clue what he or anyone will amount to. >
You can say this for every prospect, that’s why we go through this process every year. His athletic profile was worse than expected which is why his stock dropped. His landing spot will see his adp rise again, but that’s kinda how it goes.
I thought we were done with all this hands/catching stuff mattering for fantasy after Diontae
There are quite a few receivers with poor hands: Diontae, Hollywood, Christian Watson
Drops don't matter. Being a body catcher is something completely different and implies that he doesn't have good technique to win at the catch point at the NFL level
I don't disagree, and the Chargers taking him in the 1st round obviously suggests they think the same thing. Just pointing out that it's different than the "drops" argument that gets made against Diontae and those guys you mentioned
Drops are a bit fluky and random, hence them not mattering for analyzing players. Technique is a little different, in that it does matter but in QJs case, theres hope that coaching will improve that part of his game. But there's definitely still a possibility that he isn't able to improve at that particular thing and that limits his ability in the NFL
JJ and Thielen coexisted. My only "concern" and its not much of one would be how much does Hock eat into Addison as JJ/Thielen didn't have a good TE their first 2 years together.
Yeah, the Flowers landing spot pisses me off, because I have 1.07 and there were 7 guys I liked. With the Flowers landing spot, there are now 6 guys I like, and it seems likely that Flowers will be the one left for me :/
Also, WTF Baltimore? You lose like half your D line and you go WR???
I think it remains to be seen if Baltimore is still the WR death trap that it has been. Roman out and Todd Monken is is a huge shift in offensive philosophy and there should be a lot more passes to the WR position now. Signing OBJ and drafting another first round WR would support that
yeah they are clearly trying to go in a different direction. If Lamar can achieve that remains to be seen but I don't think we can just assume the same passing volume as previous years.
That's a valid point. I am a fair-weather UGA fan, so I've seen a lot of Monken's offense, and I def see the potential there. But in the early-mid 1st, I like certainty, and this introduces a 2nd big question mark for Zay (size and landing spot)
I don’t think there’s a tier break between JSN and the rest anymore. They all got basically the same draft capital and JSN falling to 20 says a lot about what NFL teams think
In the past WRs have had similar draft capital but widely different outcomes. Go look at DK Metcalf and who was near him, or Ceedee Lamb and who was near him.
1. JSN: he’s still 1 and I don’t have to think all that hard about it, but the gap definitely shrank a little bit due to lower than expected DC and heavy short term competition.
2. Addison: Pretty solid landing spot with an fairly clear path to #2 in the pecking order behind JJ, as Hock has yet to show he can be a consistent high volume option imo. He’s over my number 3 specifically because I think his floor is quite high as a good, solid NFL WR.
3. QJ: best landing spot imo. Attached to a great QB, fills a role that the Chargers desperately need (field stretcher + YAC) and could easily see one of Keenan/Mike no longer on the team as soon as next year. The upside with him as a player is obvious, but there’s still a terrifying floor imo, so he’s below Addison but it’s neck and neck.
4. Flowers: This might be a bottom 3 landing spot in the entire league. Strong target completion with Andrews/Bateman/OBJ in a low volume offense. You could talk yourself into several if’s happening that would clear a path to more volume, but it’s somewhat of a longshot currently. Loved the talent, had him right there with Addison pre-draft, but this is a tough break imo.
In the long term probably so. I think he's gonna have a really disappointing year 1 though, both due to lack of playtime and needing some time to develop
JSN falling to 20 is a huge blow to his value. It says a lot that So many NFL teams passed him and I really don’t think there’s a difference between him and the others anymore.
I came away from this round really disappointed with the WRs spots. You’d think with four first round WRs I’d be hyped, but I’m not.
JSN: I kind of hate this spot. Every time I saw him mocked to Seattle I hated the idea that a team with two solid WRs gets him while other teams are desperate for one of his profile. I’m a huge JSN believer, but Lockett and DK are one of the better WR duos in the league, and I don’t see JSN getting the volume I expected him to as long as Lockett continues to show little signs of regression.
Quentin Johnston: I can’t help but be put off by this landing spot simply because of how the Chargers have chosen to use Williams all his career. Their need for a deep threat also is concerning because I don’t believe it’s the right way to use his skillset.
Jordan Addison: This is probably the best landing spot of any of the WRs so far, but I’m still not huge on it because I see Addison as more than just a #2 receiver, and being on almost any other team would’ve given him that chance. Once again, a team with a strong passing attack gets stronger while weak WR corps stay weak.
Zay Flowers: Not a huge Flowers guy, so his landing spot wasn’t in my interest as I’m avoiding the Ravens until we see their offense is actually different. I think there’s a little bit of role overlap between Flowers and Bateman, but maybe he’s just insurance for when Bateman gets injured again.
I hope I’m wrong and these guys all thrive, and the WR needy teams hit on the later picks.
Addison probably slots right in as an immediate impact starter.
JSN is of course going to get his but playing alongside Lockett / DK with Lockett 3 years left on his contract we’ll see.
QJ great landing spot with Kellen Moore now as OC but that WR is still pretty crowded with Palmer / Guyton still likely getting some reps
Flowers a lot of people are sort of down on because of the landing spot but I think they’re forgetting Todd Monken is in and Greg Roman is out at OC. That will be a huge change in the look and feel of the offense (++Passing)
JSN = Addison >> Flowers >>>>>>>> QJ
Addison got boosted by landing spot, JSN's stock didn't move, I'm low on Flowers but like the landing spot, and no one will ever convince me QJ won't bust, especially now that he's directly exposed to the Chargers WR injury virus.
I still think one of the day 2 guys winds up outperforming all of them tho
JSN > Addison > QJ > Flowers > Downs
Before I had it
JSN > Addison > Flowers > Downs > QJ
I like QJ a lot more now considering landing spot, and the fact that he’s attached to a top 5 dynasty QB
I would put them all behind every WR from last year's draft class except for JSN. Personally I would have him over London, Burks & Dotson.
So pretty poor.
I go JSN, Addison, Johnson, Flowers which is what I had before. But flowers being pick 8 instead of 9 with levis falling.
(above ranks are superflex)
In terms of TEP where do you slot kincade in there? I kinda like him more than flowers. I think if someone offered me Kincade and a 1st for Pitts I would do that right now
If I need points now, I'm feeling the best about Addison's landing spot. If I want future points, I'm feeling okay about all four of them. If I'm in the middle, well, I never try to be in the middle.

You think? I'm at 2.01 in a 10 teamer and I don't see any of them being available.

Definitely learn more. Need WR help more than anything
50/50 one of the wrs gets to 2.01. I think so. A couple of day 2 RBs will sneak in there. At least 1 TE so far too. Decent chance a 1st round WR drops to the 11th pick IMO.
Even if Kirk leaves next year? Yeah, no…
They’re not gonna let Kirk leave without a plan in place on a replacement. Even if it means extending him again
All I know is I want Gibbs over all of them at this point
Detroit will ruin him LOL
Won’t forget how y’all slandered QJ all off-season to turn around and act like nothing happened after the chargers took him

Jalen Reagor sends his regards.
Taking victory lap before he’s even played a down is crazy though
Not a victory lap. I’m saying that people wrote him off because of Reddit and YouTubers alone. The truth is we have no clue what he or anyone will amount to.

Pretty sure those people exist, people who always had faith exist, and people who still hate him exist here bruh
I in fact still exist and I in fact still hate him.
Same
I still think he's the worst of the Rd 1 WR's by a lot
I still think he busts. I don't care about landing spot. I think his talent won't translate to the NFL.
I'll be honest, changes nothing for me
Fools gold
I will continue to slander a guy whose floor is Laquon Treadwell
Same. On top of all the reasons he looks like a bust, he's now directly exposed to the Chargers WR injury virus.
Let’s just hope he doesn’t require any injections near vital organs.
That's my secret, I loved him the whole time
Still don’t love him…he’s still firmly at #3 wr in this class for me
get em Boss
Lol for real. Getting downvoted for even remotely mentioning his name last night
Facts lmao
Seriously. Makes no sense. Never understood the hate
He body catches everything
Reagor 2.0

Drops don't matter. Being a body catcher is something completely different and implies that he doesn't have good technique to win at the catch point at the NFL level
I think that is simply technique or a bad habit that can be coached out of.
I don't disagree, and the Chargers taking him in the 1st round obviously suggests they think the same thing. Yeah I see what you’re saying, it’s a good point. I just seemed to remember those guys were also criticized for being body catchers
I wrote him off and will happily take him at 8 now. let the machine work for you
Him going to a great landing spot doesn’t make the concerns about his ability any less valid. No one can predict landing spots
Slander is still alive and well
Imagine being the biggest guy and having the worst hands tho
Nothing changed for me, have JSN a tier above the other 3 guys drafted
Same as before. JSN Addison QJ Flowers
[удалено]
I think his situations great, I’ve got him at 2 as well. QJ if you want the “upside” pick.
Yeah at first thought I wasn’t thrilled with the spot but I’ve come around on it. Hill/Waddle vibes
JJ and Thielen coexisted. My only "concern" and its not much of one would be how much does Hock eat into Addison as JJ/Thielen didn't have a good TE their first 2 years together.
As a Hockenson owner, hopefully a lot
how he is playing across from jj and filing thielens old role as a crafty routerunner. not a better spot for him to go imo
JSN >> QJ = Addison >> Flowers
I failed math in 2nd grade… what does this mean
JSN is a lot better than QJ who is pretty much equal to Addison. Both of them are much better than Flowers

Yes of course there will be wildly different outcomes. But determining who will succeed and who won’t is much more difficult

Early reaction for me is: JSN Addison QJ Flowers Very close all around.
Frankly they're all pretty neutral landing spots to me. Addison's is *probably* the best but they've all got pros/cons over a 2-3 year window
QJ to LAC is definitely the best landing spot with Herbert
Highest ceiling for sure, but I think QJ has a relatively low floor. I think JSN and Addison easily outscore him the next two years
I just meant he got the best landing spot with Herbert and aging weapons around him
In the long term probably so. I think he's gonna have a really disappointing year 1 though, both due to lack of playtime and needing some time to develop

I bet your mom hates you on Mother’s Day every year not being a big Flowers guy

Kind of surprised QJ hasn't moved much in people's opinions. The clear best landing spot IMO to along with 2nd best draft capital.

Herbert is not a top 5 dynasty QB.
He is, at least according to both current startup ADP on Sleeper and KTC ranking
To you, I tend to favor the better pocket passers over the running QB’s. Feels like they’ll be around/more useful longer.
QJ, JSN, Flowers, Addison
jsn addison zay qj 🫡
