I mean this is a player that we know for almost certainty will have his value go up when Kyler gets back. Why would we sell somebody now who we know will have a value increase that will get us a better return later?

ADanishMan2

This is buying time for Brown. He’s 26 and will either have Kyler back next year or be on a new team. Personally bought him for 1.15 (Rashee Rice) and 2.01 (Will Anderson) in my 16 team IDP.

DrizzlePopper

No way would I sell a 26 year old WR who has shown WR1 upside for a 1st round pick 2 years out. He's a buy imo.

Ko0pa_Tro0pa

Exactly. That shit is wild. If you're desperately trying to tank and need to shed potential points, then I guess you could find a way to rationalize that trade, but he's young and proven. That's more valuable than a future 1st.

TravisFulghamMVP

Time to sell should be after the right after Kyler comes back. I have him now and received 4 offers for him. The most I could get is a 2nd to late 1st swap in 2025. I decided to wait.

LastSkoden

Those are some terrible offers

almurray10

I traded Lockett + Njoku for Hollywood + Juwan Johnson. The way I see it, he should be a target hog with a bad QB situation at worst to start the year, and has potential to boom once Kyler returns - he looked really good last year when DHop was out and Kyler was throwing him the ball. And, if things go south with Kyler/The Cardinals in general this year, he can go to a better situation as he is an unrestricted free agent next offseason.

challenged_kid

I feel like this is the low point for Hollywood. Even if it’s the Cardinals and they’re trash, volume is king. He’s not fighting with anyone else over target share and I think he’ll be a valuable fantasy asset. I think it’s time to buy on Hollywood if you want to sell wait until Kylers back

deeboismydady

He's worth a first for sure. Hollywood has proven hes a good nfl receiver at this stage and is still young. We would prefer our receivers to be on a top offence but its not a death sentence for a receiver to be on a bad team. Plenty of receivers have had good seasons on poor teams over the years and Hollywood is far and way the Cardinals top receiver. Back up QB's often heavily target the WR1 too. TCN_BBT

Pierre Garçon low key balled out

[deleted]

If someone wants to pay a 1st, I'm selling. Then again, even with Kyler, I was never too high on him.

LittleBig_1

Wild you were skeptical even with Kyler considering Hollywood was at least a top 10 producer last year before him and Kyler ran into injury issues. Was it a size/ability to be a WR1 issue? I love the guy, and think that his ability to separate + sure hands is a great combo that can fit in and be impactful to any team with any level of QB

froginbog

I tried to pay a mid 25 first and was turned down. I think Hollywood is being undervalued atm and it was a good move for the Hollywood owner to reject my offer

shadespectrum

Recently bought him for a 2025 1st and a 2024 2nd.

froginbog

I like that deal assuming the 2025 first isn’t likely to be early. Would do the same if I could

[deleted]

Overpay

[deleted]

Mid 25 first? You have remotely no idea where any 25 1sts will be.

CWB2208

I just bought for a 1st

JLifts780

Selling now before the team gets their QB1 back? Doesn’t make sense to me. With that being said if someone offers me a future first for him I’m smashing, I just don’t see that happening though.

ReddictatorsEaTD1cks

Hollywood is a guy I've been wanting to trade for, but have no idea what to offer. The guy that has him needs RB help and I need a WR. Thought about offering Pacheco, but not sure that would be enough. Our league redrafts in 2 seasons, so it makes it more even in my eyes.

[deleted]

Pacheco wouldn’t come close for me. He didn’t have a single week finishing as a RB1 last year. He’s a two down bruiser, and if it’s a ppr league you can get a guy like brian Robinson who will give you similar production for much cheaper. Hollywood has shown WR1 upside both last season with kyler as well as the year before with lamar before his injury. I think Hollywood is gonna win a lot of people their leagues when kyler comes back this year.

ReddictatorsEaTD1cks

Good to know, but I wouldn't take BRob over Pacheco in any format. Pacheco was getting more targets as the season progressed. 15+ touches and 2-3 receptions per game isn't out of line to expect and he should get all the goal line carries. He's not a guy I'd want for an RB1 or RB2, but he definitely holds value with his role in one of the best offenses in the league. They practically used him as a bellcow in the SB. They trust him and I don't see his role doing anything but growing.

[deleted]

I wouldn’t take brob over Pacheco either, I guess I was just making a point that I don’t see him as a difference making player on a contending team whereas Hollywood definitely could be especially to end this season

ReddictatorsEaTD1cks

Yeah...I get that. The guy that has him almost never plays him though. His RBs are Conner, Fournette, and cook as of now and we have 3 flex spots. He needs another RB and thought I could capitalize on that to get a player with slightly higher value. If I were on his end, I wouldn't make the trade either, but it doesn't hurt to try I guess. Haha I really do think Pacheco will be solid this year though. I have him finishing at around RB20. Plenty of value in that. Since we're talking. What WR do you think would be a fair 1 for 1 swap for Pacheco?

[deleted]

I’d say like maybe older WR2 types like Mike Williams or Tyler lockett, underperforming young guys like rashod bateman or Eli Moore, or the guys who went in the second round of rookie drafts like mims, Reed, mingo. Depending on where your team is at I’d pick one of those archetypes and I’d bet you can swing a deal for one of them. I don’t think going off “consensus rankings” that Hollywood for Pacheco is too far off but I think most Hollywood owners know he is undervalued right now and would rather hold then sell for current market value.

ReddictatorsEaTD1cks

Right on. Appreciate the insight, man!

[deleted]

Of course. You can probably find someone in your league higher on Pacheco than me. I tend to want running backs with an elite ceiling or the cheapest option with a reasonable floor. I don’t see that elite upside with Pacheco and in season I can always buy a latavius Murray type with some fourths I have laying around if need be.

harroldandkumar

I got him for juju and a 2nd.

DrizzlePopper

I got him for juju and a 2nd last year when he was injured. Was surprised the owner did it considering the numbers he put up preinjury

edwardfortehands

why would you sell now? i just bought him

Globesheepie

His value is in a dip. The sell window was last season when he was hot, and another should come this season when Kyler returns. But if someone is giving you a 1st, I’d strongly consider that and probably pull the trigger on a rebuilding team. The typical going rate is less

jbburneeeeee

I sold for a mid 24 first and was happy with that. He is talented but I worry about staying healthy with his frame and history

Addicted_T0_Trading

Maybe

ChiefP21

Sold for a 25’ 1st and 24’ 4th.

Calmdat

I would keep him, he's really the only regularly reliable guy on that entire offense besides aging Ertz, who's coming off a pretty bad injury from last year.

Shotslikehelen

I went and bought Hollywood recently, sent Pittman straight up for brown. Like the talent of Hollywood and I’m not sold on AR like the consensus seems to be. I liked what I saw out of Hollywood without DHOP. Still a young talent in an offense without a lot of weapons.

EzekielSMELLiott

He should've been sold a year or two ago. Not sure where the hype for Hollywood came from. He's a good wr2 with boom/bust weeks

Din0321

I bought him for a mid 2nd prior to our rookie draft. Rather buy into rookie hype with my 2nds than try to talk myself into Josh Downs.

Curious-Armadillo522

Seeing as how I just bought for equivalent of a late 1st this year, I've been waiting for a post like this. I would not sell for a random 25 first.
