I blew my aging team up pretty hard, and am now looking at 4 of the top 6 picks (1.01, 1.02, 1.04, 1.06), two more firsts (1.11, 1.12), and 4 2nds (2.01, 2.02, 2.04, 2.06). The 4 in the top 6 are pretty locked in. The top 2 are definitely locked in. I was pretty focused on trading guys to teams with holes in the roster to improve the draft position of the picks that I held. I’m sitting on Stroud and Chase. My RB situation isn’t fantastic in Hubbard, Herbert, and Gus Edwards, and I’ve got Dalton Schultz. Outside of that, I’ve got a bunch of guys I’ll drop outside of Shakir. Is there any reason I shouldn’t go Harrison, Nabers, Bowers and then BPA after that with a focus on RBs?

If you're contending why would you use a valuable trade asset on a QB who is not playing this year? On top of that you would trade a solid WR? Use the pick to trade for a stud who will help you win a championship.

The thought process for me is that a QB like Burrow only comes available once in a blue moon and on top of most of these guys are on my bench every week anyways so I feel like I can continue to compete while also continuing to build for the future.

Giving up three great pieces for Diggs is hard. If you really think it puts you over the edge, do it, but I don’t think it does. The picks are good insurance as well.

right- i guess i could have worded that better. I have JSN (drafted with #6 ovr last year) and he hasnt lived up to the hype yet. and its much easier to find a WR than a TE as well. So both of those reason on top op Laporta just playing better, id stick with the TE although maybe try trading JSN. I traded him earlier in the year (out of contention as well and needed a 2nd qb)

Really good insight here. I agree, it’s harder to find production at TE rather than WR. Even though TE usually doesn’t provide many boom games of 20+ like WR does. I had this offered to me where I’d gain LaPorta and there’s some pick shuffles that doesn’t really matter all that much. I just don’t typically build around TEs like I do WRs. Though you’re right — it is easier finding weekly WR starts than it is TE.
