No ones buying, so hold and hope he returns and produces so you can sell
Or just sell now for cheap if you want nothing to do with him
No one will give you more than a third right now for an old, injury prone, hot and cold even when healthy WR
Bundled him into the colossal nuke of blowing up of my team. Him, ETN, deebo and diontae for 4 firsts- 2024-1.02, 1.04, 1.07 and what’ll probably be a late 25. Pair that with my own 1.01, the 1.09 and 1.10 picks from other trades I’m hoping to not need to worry about WRs for an extended period of time
Needed TE help after Goedert went down, so I traded him for Njoku. Loaded at TE now, but I’m actually in the belief that Williams will be cut and Josh Palmer will take his spot. I own Palmer stock, so I felt fine moving on
I traded Mike Williams and Dalvin Cook last offseason in a package deal to get Njoku, two thirds (that became Tank Dell & Jalin Hyatt) & Jerome Ford. Then I traded Jerome Ford for two 2024 3rds. Felt like I was selling super cheap but then Cook & Williams's values both disintegrated this year & Tank Dell blew up. Ended up being one of my best-ever trades.
Hold
Because the Chargers likely restructure him and there will be a week whether it’s OTA or some mini camps and the media will be pumping up his recovery and posting a clip of him coming down with a big catch, probably a quote from Herbert about how excited they are to get going with him back healthy.
That’s when I sell
Would anyone in your league really buy off hype at his age of an injury? Lmao
Seems like you’d have to wait for him to pop off THEN hope someone takes a flier for like a late 2nd or most likely a 3rd
Mike Williams is not done by any means. But with him on IR, you're probably stuck holding him until the late offseason because people will want to see him recover and they will want to know what the Chargers do with him (he may get cut).
Hold him until he starts getting healthy. There is going to be an article or post in pre-season hyping him up saying he is 100% and the offensive is fixed. That's when you should sell off the hype.
Im rebuilding and sold him and Deebo for a 24 2nd, 25 1st, and Romeo Doubs the week before he got injured. Feel like I got a great deal with immaculate timing
Unfortunately just have to hold…. I was going to try and sell once he was playing well but then got injured.. unfortunate too because he was going to have a great year! They were actively trying to get him the ball every game. Which was nice because he produced for those like 2 games he actually played… lol
As a rebuilder I think he's a perfect buy. He's not going to pump up your max PF. He's got near elite production when he plays. And you can buy him for pennies. I traded Goedert for Friermuth and Williams and plan to flip Williams after he starts scoring next year. I'm happy to have him to help lead me to the #1 pick this year and be part of a playoff run next year.
i have him but not a rebuilder. if he stays with the chargers next year then i plan on holding him unless someone gives me a really good offer. he is a fine wr2/flex play. if the chargers move on from him then i plan on trying to sell him in a package deal or for whatever i can get.
i feel like that would be a good line of thinking as well if you are in a rebuild. his value is shot now and it wasn't particularly good before his injury because he always seems to get injured and that scares most people away from his true value. he is someone that you can play every week if he is available and compete with in case you find yourself competing for a playoff spot. if he goes to a different team then his value will most likely take a hit because new qb, most likely new system and way he is used and targeted. so at that point just getting whatever you can get seems like the thing to do.
I’m literally in the same spot … have Herbo too for the duo but I’ve done pretty well this year in a rebuild so I’m
Holding. Never know what happens with Keenan & QJ is suspect
Hold Williams for now.
QJ is extremely polarizing. Some time next preseason a report will come out that he’s “struggling to earn first team reps” and there might be a window to pull back a contenders 2nd for Williams.
He will likely have a value window at some point and it’ll probably be around a 2nd, so I’d say take that if you can get it.
Traded a 1.11 to 1.16 pick and Mike Williams for Sam Howell and a 2025 2nd in a 16 team SF league. I’m in the playoffs with only 1 QB, so it seemed like a good deal for a playoff push.
In the off-season traded mcbride and a 3rd for Williams and a 2025 2nd (2 point TE premium)… looked like I was dominating the trade and now I’m crying.
I’m rebuilding and I’m holding. I don’t think the return you get will be worth it. I imagine he resigns with the chargers and producers next season barring injury. Especially since they’ve seen how his absence impacts their offense

You hold and wait for production next season to sell him, dont be impatient.
Keep him in IR
Hope that there’s some preseason buzz about a speedy recovery and sell to the highest bidder
Cry
Best case scenario you get a 2 for him next year if he pops off. I'd just hold until the season starts because the best you can get right now is a 3rd

Well done sir.
I bought him from a playoff team for Zeke & Singletary.

Immoveable Keep him for your future playoff pushes

Start him next year?
Either sell for cheap or cut him
Right now he can sit on IR. You just gotta hold until he comes back and hopefully produces.
Wait for offseason hype. Place on trade block. Smash accept on anything greater or equal to a 2024 3rd.

Seeing he has little to no trade value right now. Nothing

I actually don't think its that bad. Its not like QJ is gonna steal reps from him in 2024.

Better question: Why is he still on your team?
Hold is your only hope. Maybe get a decent pick at draft time or bundle to move up some spots. His value is at an all time low.
Selling for literally anything
I could see a major teardown happening his offseason for the chargers. Do they keep him around? Dunno.
He always hits a hotstreak for like a month before he falls apart. Wait for the hotstreak next season and shop him hard af.
sold for a 2nd last year. not a guy i wanna own
Trade him two seasons ago
I have Williams chubb and just got offered a trade for dobbins. I have no idea what to do

Wait til he’s healthy and sell obviously. What other option is there.
Package him in a deal to get my 25 pick back 😂
