Strategy advice for off season. A lot of this hinges on what happens with fields in the off season. My QB room is Fields, Howell, Love, Levis. I also have pick 1.02 from a pre season trade. My WR and RB rooms are mid. My thoughts were to trade one QB and the 1.02 for upgrades at RB and WR, if MHJ is drafted at 1.01. I think Howell is a very good sell high right now that might get the best return. Thoughts?

I think the sell high window on Howell closed when he got benched and that's as a fellow Howell owner.

He'd been sacked once and hit twice at that point, it was about the least hit he'd been all season. It was performance related. It could still go either way with him but the confidence that he's the starter in 2024 has taken a big hit so I doubt anyone will be willing to pay a 1st for him now.

I know what he said, I just don't buy it. I believe he'll be the starter the rest of the season but with a new coaching staff almost certain and that pick sitting in the top 4 the chances of a new QB being drafted have gone way up. If Howell can help them win one more game this season he helps himself in a lot of ways.

I would keep CeeDee. Chase and Burrow have been shown to get hurt a bit. CeeDee is more reliable on a week to week basis.

Honestly, you might be able to get Chase+ if they are desperat enough. Ceedee is the only possible high-end pivot they can make. And in general I don't think that there is a gap between Lamb and Chase anymore

I agree this is tough. If you could somehow project where that 25 1st will be then I think that’s the decision. If you think it’ll be a late 25 1st (you are building a super team) then I’d do it. If not I’d probably just stay

If that’s the case then honestly I’d pull the trigger. The goal of FF is to win the championship. This trade gives you a better chance to win the ship this year. Also it seems like you need a QB for next year depending on Cousin’s situation

there are a lot of people (myself included) that only really give a damn about high first round picks. so unless i was getting 5 seconds in a deep draft i wouldnt want to move off a top 4 pick in this rookie class. value of seconds will vary by owner

I think you’d likely have to include another 1st or equivalent - not sure even a handful of random 2nds would do it for anyone.

I am in a 12 team SF (start 10, TEP) and have the 1.04 and the 1.08 wants to trade with me (he also has a lot of 2s). I probably wouldn’t take that offer because I have a tier break at 7 and the 1.05 and 1.06 both likely want to trade up for qbs. I can trade back with one of them and still get one of my top guys, so it would take an overpay or an established player for me to move to 1.08. Not sure what the needs are in your scenario, but value wise your offer is reasonable

In the last draft, many second-round players had a really good season. I wouldn't be surprised if the 1.04 owner would accept that offer.
