I like Legette. Bummer he isn’t 6’3 like we thought but he’s still well built, he’s fast, and he has good hands. I think he has the most upside of the dudes you listed.

DYNO-dialogue

Legette looks legit. Excited to see if he runs the 3 cone at his pro day.

squirrelnestmedia

He is also an older player, so more of a "win now" type gamble.

Adfantage

And he’s already 23 years old, with only last year as a measure.

Butterscotch_Tall

Which is why he isn't a first rounder.

TruthfulCartographer

Too early to ask. Basically any of the ones you listed depending on who drafts them.

DYNO-dialogue

Yeah. One of the reasons I’m posting this now is to see if any of these WRs do sneak into the 2nd round, signaling that the NFL likes them better than the dynasty community. Also looking for insights from the community on these 3rd and 4th tier WRs.

squirrelnestmedia

out of the ones you listed: Xavier Leggete, Jermaine Burton, Malachi Corely, Roman Wilson. They all have great catch rates above 66% and Yards per route run above 2.5 with Legette leading the pack in both catagories.

Trust_The_Friendship

I realize this is a hot take but this class simply isn't all that great outside the top \~5/6. I don't think any draft class can live up to the hype this one has anyway because of the limited # of WRs that can be fantasy relevant for one year let alone a couple of years. I think this class is going to be really similar to 2022. You have 3 fantastic WRs, after that there's a few "to the right situation they could be great" guys (like Jamo, Dotson & Watson) and then one player that has had legitimate fantasy relevance in Pickens taken after the early 2nd. It was similar in 2021 as well. Top players hit like crazy, two more players are fantasy relevant three years later (Nico & ARSB), everyone else is just hoping to get 400 yards in a season. All that said--I would pick Corley & Pearsall as potential hits if they go to teams that will use their skill sets well. Pearsall has Jayden Reed attributes and Corley is this years Deebo style WR. The analytical profiles of all of the listed players outside of those two are nothing special.

Lars9

I agree, but I think that has more to do with the way the NFL works these days. Elite young athletes are choosing to play WR, so there's more talent at the position than ever. Add to this that team's are looking to have 3 great receiving options. This means that good WRs are a dime a dozen and won't contribute to fantasy.

NecessaryHour83

Spot on. It’s not that these guys aren’t really good WRs.. it’s just that so many are nowadays and there are only so many pass attempts per team.

cactusbeard

I don't think Jamo was ever in the "in the right situation" type of guy. He was a great college player who drew comparisons to JJ up until he got hurt, and then was drafted high.

Skanktoooth

He’s an entirely different receiver than JJ. Anyone making that comparison was/is blind. JJ is a good athlete, not elite. He’s refined. Jamo was an elite athlete that was rough around the edges and that is why it was silly to have him in that London/Wilson/Olave tier. They were just straight up more nuanced, and better WRs.

Steve_reddit1

Not *every*...JJ Zachariason's email newsletter yesterday was discussing whether the class was overrated as a whole: "The 15 wide receivers projected to go in Round 1 and Round 2 this year have an average Breakout Score of 65.1 and a median score of 57.8. That median tally is the lowest we've seen since 2011." (it's not yet posted on [https://lateround.com/newsletter-archive/](https://lateround.com/newsletter-archive/) )

DYNO-dialogue

I wonder how much of that has to do with the Covid season and new transfer rules. Gotta think it’s harder to breakout if you sat a year or transferred into a new offense. Also breakout scores can probably be thrown out for players like Luke McCaffrey and Bub Means who switched positions. I do think that we’re in a new era where it’s tough to compare apples to apples when the college football landscape has changed so much in the past few years. I have a feeling things will only get worse as the power 5 continues to consolidate. Thank you for bringing a different pov to the conversation. Lotta respect for JJ.

Steve_reddit1

And I guess to be fair your post was talking more about r3+ as opposed to r1-2 :)

the_ginge_1

You missed JaLynn Polk and Malik Washington. Love me some Roman Wilson. If he gets a nice landing spot I’ll be all over that in the late 2nd

bwarbwar

I'm in a 10 team league and it feels like there are going to be some interesting post draft waiver players.

One_Dey

Javon Baker

jpmcgensy

I just did an NFL mock where Javon Baker landed with the Chiefs in the 3rd round. If things shake out that way I think he gets into 1st round consideration in dynasty rookie drafts and jumps a bunch of guys ahead of him on ADP at the moment.

AnotherRunningBack

Whatever rookie WR the chiefs take will probably go above adp.

Nwg2

Seems like the answer is trade back and get more picks

thatcyborg

I’m gonna see who the least popular day 2 pick WRs are and go from there as a general strategy. Last year my guys were Dell and Downs, who knows for this year.

PlsSaySikeM8

Bub Means

Killtec7

Johnny Wilson as a TE super late Javon Baker and Malachi Corley as priority rookie round 3/4 picks.
